TMS #483 and an Announcement

Hello, and welcome to the last Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #483 for 2018. The annual "anything goes" challenge will be next week. This week our sketch has been designed by Melissa. It's a detailed but beautiful sketch.

For my card I began with a turquoise card base, rounding the corners and adding lots of beautiful die-cut flowers sent to me by my friend Alice all the way from Italy. Aren't they gorgeous?! I added some green stems that were die-cut with an unbranded die and added a tiny butterfly from my stash. The sentiment panel was die cut with a MFT fishtail flag frame die and heat-embossed with white embossing powder using a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp. The final touch was a little twine bow.

Here's the prize you'll be playing for this week:

Before you run off to play along, please check out my DT creations for a little inspiration first. You can find them all right here.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

And now for the announcement -
This will be my last post as a DT member for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge as I've decided to step down. Life changes; priorities shift, and sometimes we just have to roll with the flow. I'm not giving up blogging or making cards just yet, so I will still be around and probably still play along with this challenge now and then. Special thanks to Melissa and Debbie for giving me this opportunity - it's been a fun time.
Have a great holiday season everyone, and I'll see you in 2019!

TMS #482

Hello! Welcome to another Tuesday and the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #482, designed by Melissa. As you can see I took liberties with this sketch but I have all the elements there.

I used a very vanilla card base and used 3 rows of retired SU! Washi tape (I hardly ever remember to use it) The angels were die-cut from gold mirror card and a set of I.O. dies. The sentiment is by Die Versions and was also cut from mirror gold, as well as the postage stamp mat done with a GMD stitched die. The main sentiment panel was cut with the same die as the frame and hand-trimmed to fit within the gold piece and that's all there was to making this card! Easy Peasy!

And now it's over to you for a chance to win this awesome prize:
Before you go, be sure to check the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge blog to be inspired by what the rest of the DT has made! You'll be glad you did :)

Thanks for stopping by and happy sketchin' :)

TMS #481

Another Tuesday has rolled around and here's the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge with a design by Melissa.

I pulled out some SU! traditional Christmas colors of red and green cardstock and dsp, using a Unity stamp from "What's the Word, Bird?" I colored the image with Copics and glaze pens, adding some snowy hills done with a Lawn Fawn stitched hillside set of dies, and added some Diamond stickles for snow. I colored the sky background with a Copic B0000 for a hint of blue. The sentiment is a very old wooden stamp I bought at Michaels years ago, and I attached it with 2 green staples on the sides.

And now it's over to you, but before you start, check the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge Blog so you can see what my DT members did with this sketch. You'll want to play along this week too because here's the prize you're playing for:

Thanks for checking in and do have yourself a fantastic Tuesday!

TMS #480

Another Tuesday has rolled around again, and it's time to play along with the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #480 designed by our own Debbie.

I went with a non-traditional Thanksgiving card, using a rich, royal blue cardstock base along with a center panel of blue dsp done with a SU! lace ribbon punch. The oval die cut was sent to me by a thoughtful blogger friend, and I have no idea who makes it, but the little swirls on the bottom left seemed to be perfect for the sketch. I added some leaves and acorns done with Spellbinder dies, and sponged them with orange, brown, and red distress inks before stamping them with Versamark ink and heat embossing them with clear detail embossing powder. The sentiment is from SU! heat embossed with white ep, and I added 3 clear gemstones for the finishing touch.

Here's the prize up for grabs this week - a Tim Holtz stamp and die set, just in time for making those last minute holiday cards!

For a little inspiration to get you started, please visit the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge blog to see what the DT has created with this sketch. I'm always intrigued with the different directions we all take in creating a card with the same sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday. Happy sketching!

TMS #479

Hello again and welcome to the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #479.
This is a real fun design by Melissa and has possibilities for making lots of cute cards!

I had to drag out my old quilting templates to make the shape for this card. I'd almost forgotten I still had them but they came in handy this time around! I used a Lawn Fawn stamp for the image, adding some fuzz to the bunny's tail with liquid applique and puffing it up with a heat gun after it dried. I used a piece of pink polka dot dsp and stamped tiny hearts all over it, then added the sentiment, also by Lawn Fawn. This was a very quick and easy card to make once I figured out how to get that diamond shape!

I hope you'll come play along with us because there's a nice prize up for grabs again this week....

It's a Tim Holtz set with a stamp, 2 dies, and an embossing folder! Nice!

You could be the winner of this prize if you come and play along with this week's sketch challenge! Be sure to head over to the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge Blog and get inspired by our expanded design team! You'll be glad you did when you see what they've made!

I'm also going to share this card with the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge #20 which is to use a critter on your card.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday!

TMS #478

Another Tuesday has rolled around and it's time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. Today I'm sharing my card for sketch #478 designed by Debbie.

I used an Inky Antics image that was colored with Copics and paired it with a Sweet'n Sassy sentiment on a Lil Inker stitched banner die cut. The top corner was made with a red scalloped circle die and some tiny white hearts done with a SU! owl punch, adding some tiny enamel dots to the centers. The swirl is a piece of a Cheery Lynn mini flourish die that I trimmed down to fit the corner panel. The dsp is from SU! and the twine is from the twinery.

Here is the prize up for grabs this week; an Art-C stamp and stencil set.

Be sure to check out the rest of the DT creations right here on the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge blog where you'll find lots of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. In Addition to Melissa, DebbieJenée, and Patti, we're welcoming 3 new designers Andrea, Lori, and LJ to the team. Welcome ladies!

TMS #477

We're back with another Tuesday Morning sketch challenge and this time we're working on sketch #477 designed by Melissa Craig. With Autumn in full swing, I decided to use a Sweet'n Sassy Cocoa's Pumpkin image and make a Thanksgiving card.

I used Copics to color Cocoa and die-cut both the image and orange mat with MFT stitched circle dies, then placed it on a white panel that was embossed with a Darice fall leaf ef. The strip of dsp is from SU!, while the sentiment is from SNSS and die-cut with a MFT fishtail flag frame die. The vines were cut with Precious Marieke dies and some snippets of green cardstock.

Be sure to visit the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge blog for some inspiration to get you started with this sketch. Our DT always has such diversified uses for each weekly sketch and I love how we all go in different directions with our creations.

The prize up for grabs this week is this embossing folder by Darice:

TMS #476

Hello and a very happy Tuesday to everyone. We're working on sketch #476 over at the Tuesday Morning sketch challenge, and here's the sketch.

With Halloween right around the corner, I opted to make another Halloween card. I used some SU! retired Halloween dsp from last year with a night sky, and added an embossed spiderweb panel on the right in lime green. The purple panel was cut with a Gina Marie Designs stitched oval, and I die-cut a MB creepy spider in the center, then cut another creepy spider from dsp and placed it inside the purple oval. I added 2 googly eyes after it was finished. The orange border was done with an EK punch, and a Martha Stewart goo punch, and I stamped the sentiment there. I lined the back of the jack-o-lanterns with a strip of black cardstock to show their faces. The little ghosts were die cut with Impression Obsession dies and embossed with Lawn Fawn glow-in-the-dark embossing powder.

So what will you make with this sketch? For some inspiration, be sure to check out the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog for some inspiration by my DT members.

This week there is a surprise package from Pink and Main that you're going to love, so you'll want to play along for sure!

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fabulous day!

TMS #475

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and this week we're working on sketch #475 designed by Melissa.
I had no clue where to start with this sketch as I have nothing with a paisley design, but eventually it occured to me that snowflakes would be nice, so here's where this sketch led me...

I dug into my stash and pulled out some soft blue SU! dsp that's been long retired. It reminded me of snow with the delicate patterns, so I used 3 different snowflake punches and 2 other mini punches to make the centers. I dotted each of the snowflakes with sparkling Nuvo drops and they look light blue on top of the navy punched elements. I also added a few scattered Nuvo drops around the card randomly as well. The sentiment was die-cut with a Cottage Cutz die and some matching Navy cardstock.

Ok, now it's your turn, but before you go - be sure and check out my fabulous DT's creations over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog for some wonderful inspiration.

Here is the prize you'll be playing for this week:

Happy Crafting and make it a great Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by:)

TMS #474

Another week has rolled around to Tuesday already, and today we have the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #474 designed by Debbie.
Here is my take on the sketch...

I used an older SU! retired set for the image and colored the stamp with markers before stamping to get the two-tone look. I used some Rose Red cardstock for the card base and mat, and some green snippets for the ferns which were cut with a die from Precious Mariecke. The tiny flowers were done with SU! mini punches, and they were dotted with black Nuvo drops. The sentiment is from the SU! set Healing Hugs and was matted in black. The embossed background panel was done with a Sizzix Damask ef. I flipped the sketch to a top fold for my card, overlapping the sentiment panel onto the image panel and adding the ferns and flowers for texture.

Now it's your turn and we can't wait to see what you do with this easy sketch. Be sure to have a look at what my fellow DT members have created over on the TMS challenge blog and have fun being inspired by their creativity.

Here is the prize up for grabs this week

TMS #473

We're back with another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge and this week we're working on sketch #473, designed by Melissa.

Here is the prize you'll be playing for this week - just in time for those Halloween/Fall projects!

I made a masculine card with a Mark's Finest Papers stamp set called "Western Cowboy." Unfortunately their store has been closed for some time now, but this has been one of my favorite stamp sets in my collection. I stamped the cowboy and wolf on kraft and clear embossed both images before adding a touch of color with Copics. The glittered grey frame was a leftover from a previous project and I thought the subtle shimmer was perfect. The 3 horses are from the stamp set and so is the sentiment. The PTI Soft Stone cardstock base was embossed with a Darice horseshoe ef. I omitted the bow from the sentiment panel because a bow just doesn't belong on a cowboy card, right?

Before you give this sketch a try, please check out what my DT members made right here on the TMS blog! I'm sure you'll find lots of good inspiration as they've all done some amazing things with this sketch!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic Tuesday!

TMS #472

Hello and welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. This week we're working on sketch #472 .

I just love the SU! Blended Bloom flower, so I stamped it on white cardstock, then colored it with Copics and fussy cut it, popping it up on foam tape. The leaves were done with my favorite Hero Arts leaf image - stamped on polka dot dsp and fussy cut as well. I put this on a black panel that was adhered to a Melon Mambo card base, and added little "droplets" done with a pink glaze pen. The heat-embossed white sentiment was done with a Hero Arts greeting.

This week we are offering the following Impression Obsession Mistletoe with Bells die for a prize.

And now it's over to you, but before you go, be sure and check out my DT members cards right HERE as they have lots of inspiration for you with their beautiful creations.

Thanks for coming by and best wishes for a great week ahead!
Happy crafting :)

TMS #471

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone!  It's time for the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #471 which was designed by our own Debbie.

I was playing with some Abandoned Coral and Black Soot distress oxide inks and came up with this background. I just smeared the ink pads on a non-stick sheet, spritzed with water and dabbed the wc cardstock here and there until I got the coverage I wanted. After it dried, I went back and added a few droplets of water here and there. I added a Darice swirl die cut, and then punched some tiny flowers from the remnants of the wc paper, using dark and light areas for contrast. I used Nuvo black drops for the flower centers as well as the 3 dots on the top right panel, then placed it on top of a stitched square die-cut SNSS sentiment. I put it all on a PTI Berry Sorbet card base.

And now it's over to you, but before you go, be sure and check out my DT member's creations here on the blog. You'll want to play along for the great prize this week too, just in time for those autumn cards with leaves.

I'm also adding my card to the Just Us Girls #458 color week challenge to use the following colors :

TMS #470

Hello Tuesday (again!) When this day of the week rolls around, that means it's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge, and this week we're working on sketch #470 designed by Melissa.

Here is the prize being offered this week - an Art C Chevron Stamp & Adhesive stencil set.

I made an age-specific birthday card on the masculine side for this week's card. I used a piece of bold striped dsp from Recollections, along with a snippet of kraft and some red. I embossed the horizontal element with a CB birthday ef, then used MFT stitched circle dies along with a scalloped punch to display the IO die-cut numbers. I wrapped some twine, made a bow, and added some negative die-cut stars done with a SSS star border die to finish this one.

And now it's over to you, but before you go, please check out my DT member's cards by clicking HERE to see them all. I know you'll find lots of great inspiration to kick-start your creativity after you see what they've made!

I will be remembering this day with sorrow for the tragic events that unfolded on this day in 2001. That's something you never forget regardless of how many years have gone by.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself the best possible Tuesday!

TMS #469

Here's hoping nobody is feeling like this poor pooch after too much celebrating their day off yesterday! LOL Welcome to Tuesday, and another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. This week we're working on sketch #469 and this one took me quite a while to come up with something, I must admit. It's the embellishment on the left side that I didn't have a clue what to do with, so I just used some twine. It kind of reminds me of the ups and downs of not feeling well! LOL

The image is from an older 2011 SU! set called Wellness Wishes that I don't often use, and I layered it with black and Wasabi green cardstock, die-cutting with stitched squares. The dsp was a random snippet from my overflowing box, as was the black & white polka dot border strip that was done with a SU! scalloped border punch. The white scalloped border was done with a SNSS scalloped border die, and the black Nuvo drops were the finishing touch for this get-well card.

I hope you'll find time to play along with us this week, but before you do, be sure and check out my DT members creations for some great inspiration. You can find them all HERE.

I'm also sharing this with the Retro Rubber Challenge #94 - a/g

TMS #468 Vintage Anniversary

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge. This week we're working on sketch #468.

My stash of anniversary cards was low, so I pulled out this Inkadinkado vintage stamp along with some SU! Powder Pink cardstock and Baked Brown sugar dsp to put this together. I used some Gina Marie Designs stitched oval dies for the main panels. I colored the image lightly with matching Copics, and added strips of dsp along with some pink mesh ribbon under the SU! sentiment. The final touch was some candy dots on the side.

I hope you'll find some time to play along this week as there's a new SU! inkpad up for grabs in a random drawing. Before you do anything, be sure and check out my fellow DT creations which can be found HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck to everyone!

Hello to another Tuesday, and welcome to this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #467

This week I used some Granny Green cardstock along with some Pacific Point for my colors. I used SU! matching dsp along with a Flourishes image of Morning Glory flowers from their calendar month series. I colored the image with Copics and used a stitched rectangle die from Lil Inker. The butterflies were done with a Punch-a-Bunch, and I added green and blue gemstones for their bodies. The sentiment panel was done with SB circle and scalloped circle dies and was stamped with a Taylored Expressions sentiment, adding a blue and green gemstone as well.

This week there's another prize of a bag of flowers Melissa promises you'll love.

Now it's your turn, but before you head to your craft room, be sure to visit the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog to see what the fabulous DT has made to inspire you! You can find that right HERE.

TMS #466

Hello and welcome to another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. This week we're working on sketch #466 and it was designed by our own Melissa.

I used a retired SU! set called "A Happy Thing" and paper pieced the lemon and leaves with yellow and green dsp. Click the photo to enlarge and see those details. I used a small Cheery Lynn flourish die that was cut from mint green and added a couple butterflies done with a SU! retired Sizzlet die. I used Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz cardstock and paper for this, adding a few gemstones on the butterflies along with some clear Nuvo glitter drops randomly placed. A Taylored Expressions sentiment, corner rounder, and a twine bow finished this card.

The prize this week is a bag Melissa's put together for you that's filled with flowers of all sizes and she says you're really going to be happy with it :)

Be sure to check on my DT member's blogs for some extra inspiration - you'll be glad you did! Click HERE to see their cards.
