TMS #480

Another Tuesday has rolled around again, and it's time to play along with the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #480 designed by our own Debbie.

I went with a non-traditional Thanksgiving card, using a rich, royal blue cardstock base along with a center panel of blue dsp done with a SU! lace ribbon punch. The oval die cut was sent to me by a thoughtful blogger friend, and I have no idea who makes it, but the little swirls on the bottom left seemed to be perfect for the sketch. I added some leaves and acorns done with Spellbinder dies, and sponged them with orange, brown, and red distress inks before stamping them with Versamark ink and heat embossing them with clear detail embossing powder. The sentiment is from SU! heat embossed with white ep, and I added 3 clear gemstones for the finishing touch.

Here's the prize up for grabs this week - a Tim Holtz stamp and die set, just in time for making those last minute holiday cards!

For a little inspiration to get you started, please visit the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge blog to see what the DT has created with this sketch. I'm always intrigued with the different directions we all take in creating a card with the same sketch.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday. Happy sketching!

Carol

Wow this is really gorgeous! I never would've thought to pair the blue color with the Fall leaves, but boy it sure makes it pop out beautifully!! Love that trellis looking strip down the center as well! Great take on the sketch and wanted to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving my friend! HUGS :)

Wow, this colours combo is so vibrant and lovely!! That border matches so beautifully with the oval and swirl, what elegance! Your heat embossed leaves look amazing, as well all the others I have seen on your past cards!! I have to try this! :)
Big hugs!

Love the dark blue background and the way you have entwined those acorns round. Squirrel was busy collecting nuts up yesterday ready for the cold spell. I expect he is snuggled up now as it is bitterly cold here today. Hugs Mrs A.
