Pumpkin Head

I sold all my House Mouse stamps several years ago after using them for years, but I found this stamped image in my box of snippets, so I colored it and made it into a card. It's a Gruffies image from 2002. I colored it with Copics and added a little BOO! tag done with a long retired SU! stamp and tag punch (which I've also passed on through the years). I die cut the image panel with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die and put it on a red card base.

I'm sharing this oldie but goodie with...

Birthday Celebration

Recently I pulled out my strips of leftover Lawn Fawn plaid papers and made a herringbone panel with them. When you cut a piece from a paper pad for a card front you always have a little strip leftover, and I save them all and put them in a little baggie and when it gets full, I make herringbone designs with those snippets. When I finished it, I embossed it with a plaid embossing folder and then decided to create a frame for this card, and then was left with the center portion which I used to create this card.
The cute House Mouse image was a gift I recently received so I colored it with Copics, and matted it with some lawn fawn purple card stock; rounding all the corners. I had one strip of some pretty teal designer paper left over from SU!, so I used a Sweet 'n Sassy border die and cut assorted plaid stars with it to fill in the negative spaces, plus fill the air with those little stars. I also added assorted Stickles and Nuvo drops for some sparkle. The "Celebrate" die by Lil Inker was cut from white, purple and a strip of green plaid and offset layered before covering with Glossy Accents for some added shine. The card base as well as the herringbone panel were cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies and I added one last snippet strip of plaid paper alongside the star scalloped border rather than toss it out.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

HMFMC #310 - anything goes *optional more than 1 fold

Lil Dino

I found this older House Mouse stamp called Lil Dino in my stash and decided to make a card with it for my friend's grandson who's just 3. I love that it shows kindness without being scary which is appropriate for the wee ones. I colored the image with Copics, adding touches of fluorescent Copics to the pumpkin and candy corn. The stars were done with a very old (r) SU! set and then colored in with gold and silver markers and glaze pens. Both the image panel and card base were die-cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies.
The sentiment is by Tim Holtz.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

HMFMC#302 - A/G with an option of using a white on white background and coloring only the image.

Dies R Us # 131 - pumpkins and/or apples

the Male Room #122 - Halloween

New Home Card

Friends of mine recently sold their home and moved and this is the card I made for them as they settled into their new home. The little mouse made himself comfy cozy in that giant flower blossom and took a little snooze. I kept this one simple, coloring with Copics, cutting with Little Inker stitched rectangle dies and layering with green and gold colors to match the flower. The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

I'm sharing this with the House-Mouse & Friends Monday challenge #301 - anything goes with an option of "outdoor fun."

Also sharing with 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge #31 - anything goes but you must use a critter on your creation

Thanks for stopping by and I hope the first day of October has been a good one for you. Our summer has been extended a few more days and we're expecting temperatures to hit 92F tomorrow! Unheard of!

Halloween Card

I have another Halloween card to share today, made with a House Mouse image called Incognito2 and lots of snippets of cardstock. I colored the fun images with fluorescent Copics and edged the sentiment panel with those Copics as well. The dsp is a snippet of Halloween paper bought from Tuesday Morning quite some time ago, and I added some Lawn Fawn elements - the bat, candy corn, and sentiment panel. I pulled my Martha Stewart goo punch from the cobwebs and added a fun border along the bottom in keeping with the Halloween theme.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

House Mouse & Friends HMFMC #299 - anything goes/option of Autumn or Fall

Christmas in August

I've had this House Mouse stamp for years and seldom use it, so I pulled it out and decided to make a Christmas card to add to my stash. I colored the image with Copics, and added some die-cut greens to the top that look like the branches in their mouths. The die is from a Precious Marieke set called "leaves." I added a tiny twine bow along with some twine at the bottom to match the red mat beneath the image. The background was embossed with a SU! Petals A Plenty ef, and it was adhered to a Wild Wasabi card base.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

August Rudolph Days Challenge - Christmas anything goes

House Mouse HMFMC #298 - anything goes/optional: use dies

Pencils - Yum!

I've had this card made for some time but never posted it, so today I'm sharing it with the House Mouse & Friends HMFMC #297 - anything goes or back to school.

When I see pencils my brain goes back to my school days, so this reminded me of school, but it's just a general-themed card. The image was colored with Copics and die cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies, along with the Hello Honey and Rich Cocoa card stock. I added a slightly larger mat of the Cocoa behind the image panel and added a sentiment from SU! which I cut with a scalloped punch and matted with a punched circle.

It's an easy card to put together and when we were kids, we all chewed on our pencils all the time LOL

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

New Home

Our neighbor's son has just bought his first home and will be moving into it in a couple weeks, so I made this little "card" for him. It's an Easel card with a little drawer to hold a gift for the occasion and I used THIS tutorial. He (along with his parents) have been like family to us through the years, always helping with the things we're no longer able to do, and he has the most giving and kind heart, so we wish him all the very best with his new digs! I used a Stampendous "bunny bath" stamped image and colored it with Copics to match the retired bits of SU! dsp I used to assemble this. He's the outdoors type and loves the green and brown colors of the earth, so that's why I chose these colors and designer paper. If I'd had some camouflage print, I'd have used that instead.

I used a neutral piece of tan card stock to punch the border for the sentiment and added a few enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs that came as a free gift with a previous order. I used a big gold brad to make the drawer handle, and here's what it looks like opened up...

I added some clear stickles to the steam coming from the hot tub just for fun. I can't wait to surprise him with this "card" with a little surprise inside to help him with that new home he just bought! We are so happy for him!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

House Mouse Valentine

I'm working on Valentines as that day is rapidly approaching, so I made a few simple and easy cards like this one. I stamped this very old house mouse image on a piece of white card and colored it with Copics, using fluorescent pink to color the "Be Mine" candy piece. I used a SU! scalloped top punch and corner rounder to shape the tag, placing it on 2 panels of SU! designer paper that was cut with a GinaMarieDesigns die. For the final touch I added a die-cut heart made of red felt and added a tiny bow.

I'm sharing this with the following challenge

House Mouse & Friends Challenge HMFMC#282 -use something new or anything goes. I went with the anything goes category.

Thanks for checking in today and I wish you a great week ahead!

Ho Ho Ho House Mouse

The days are now just flying by until Christmas arrives, so I made a quick and easy Christmas card with a little House Mouse stamp I've had for years. I colored him with Copics, and added some liquid applique to his hat, then die-cut the panel with a MFT stitched circle die. A retired SU! silver doily perfectly fit behind the die-cut panel, and I cut a strip of retired SU! dsp into a banner and stamped a sentiment with a super-old set of wooden stamps I've had since I began stamping over a decade ago. It's all on a dark green card base for some traditional colors.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

CHNC 414 - a/g Christmas - Optional use a sticker or 2

HMFMC #280 -a/g with option of something warm

Thanks for the visit and I wish you a wonderful day!

Christmas House Mouse

I had this House Mouse image stamped and already colored, so all I needed to do was die-cut it with a MFT stitched circle die and add some liquid applique to the fur on his Santa hat. I die-cut a green panel with a Gina Marie Designs stitched square die and added some tiny square geo sparkler stickers. The horizontal border was done with a SU! scalloped border punch, adding 2 pieces of retired SU! woven golden ribbon, along with 2 square gold geo sparkler stickers on either side of the image panel. The sentiment is by SU! teeny tiny wishes and was done with retired SU! label punches, adding 2 tiny round geo sparklers to the sides. The dsp is by Bo Bunny.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

the Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge #406 where I used the following sketch:

CHNC challenge #336= a/g as long as it's Christmas - optional: winter fun

CHNC challenge extra for June - a/g as long as it's Christmas

It might as well be Christmas today as our high is going to be a mere 60 degrees! Summer temps in the 90's will be here by next week, so we're sliding up/down on the temperatures for a few days. This old body is having a hard time adjusting to these drastic changes too! LOL Have a great day and keep smiling :)

ATC Valentines

Among the little Valentines I made for my grandchildren were several made with this cute House Mouse stamped image. These are 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" (ATC) and all I did was die-cut the Copic-colored image with Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies, and place a small piece of dsp underneath. You can cut 5 of this size from one sheet of cardstock, so I made many! I made matching coin envies too, but did not think to take pictures of them before sending them to the grands halfway across the country!

Here are 3 more done with different colors and papers. My DIL bought me this stamp many moons ago when I began stamping, and I've used it to make valentines ever since!

I'm sharing with the House Mouse HMFMC#234 challenge which is "Love"

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're enjoying your Tuesday!

Christmas with the Mouse!

While digging through my unfinished stash, I found a small dark green pre-cut SB labels 18 and decided to put it to use. I dug through my stamps and found this cute little HM stamp and thought he'd look cute on a stitched circle die. Since the labels 18 was already edged with a gold paint pen, I added gold paint pen highlights to the little ornament and spatters on the ground beneath him. I found the random piece of striped dsp and a piece of celery-colored cardstock, and tied the image panel onto it with neutral twine. The sentiment was done in Hunter Green ink with a G Studio stamp.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Craftyhazelnut's CHNC #305 - anything goes as long as it's Christmas

This card is going into my box for the Caring Hearts card drive, and I hope if you have any extra Christmas cards to share, you can send them to this worthy cause. They're distributed to nursing homes throughout the US, Canada, and Australia. Click the link above, or click the image on the top of my sidebar to get all the details.

Autumn Birthday

Here's a little birthday card made with a sponged background and a House Mouse having fun with all the colorful leaves of autumn. I used an EK border punch to get all the tiny leaves that have fallen to the ground and added a strip of rust-colored ribbon diagonally. The panels were cut with stitched rectangle dies and I added one golden leaf brad for the final accent. The sentiment is from SNSS.

I'm sharing this with the HMFMC#226 which has a theme of "Autumn."

Thanks for stopping by, and make it a great day.

New Addition

Hey there - happy Wednesday! I have a baby card to share for the Tuesday Throwdown #TT306 "New Addition" challenge. I started with a House Mouse Cozy Love stamp which I colored with Copics; then cut with a Gina Marie stitched circle die and matted with a Spellbinder scalloped circle die. The heart banner and matching scalloped panel were done with a PTI die set, and the sentiment is from MFP. The background was embossed with a swiss dots ef and I added some pink satin ribbon from my stash.
I hope you have a fantastic day, and thanks so much for stopping by :)

Play Ball!

I have a red, white, and blue card which is perfect for the July 4th holiday weekend here in the US. I used this cute House Mouse image, and colored him with Copics, then used SB square dies to cut the image panel out and mat with Navy. The background was done with a Stampendous square illusion background stamp with red ink on white cardstock. I added a Simon Says Stamp sentiment done in navy on white, and followed up with some random red, white, and blue stars. The red card base was cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die.

I'm sharing this with the House-Mouse & Friends HMFMC#222 challenge which is "A day spent with friends." What's better than friends going to enjoy a good-old American baseball game?

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a great, safe weekend!

Washday for the Mice

The House Mouse & Friends challenge #220 is "something old, nothing new." This has to be the oldest House Mouse stamp in my collection. I rarely use it because it's a large image and doesn't have many options for adding a sentiment - but it is cute! The cardstock was in my stash and I believe it was purely pomegranate from SU! if memory serves me correctly. I added a thin strip of not quite navy to the right side just for a little interest and to stretch the image to an A2 sized card.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Sending you Joy

The Happy Little Stampers May Christmas challenge is "gift" so I pulled out this House Mouse stamp that may have one or two gifts on it! lol I colored it with Copics in traditional Christmas colors and placed it on a gumball green card base. I added a polka dot punched bow, and a SU! sentiment.

Thanks for taking a few moments to stop by and I hope this day holds many gifts for you too :)

Just Fly

There's a challenge over at the HMFMC#215 that's "pastels" so I made a spring-like card using a watercolored background piece. I sponged inks on watercolor paper and spritzed it with water to blend the colors. I allowed it to dry completely, then embossed it with a Darice basketweave ef. The HM image was colored with Copics, and I used some fluorescent colors for the dragonfly. I sponged some clouds with Tumbled Glass ink, stamped some tree tops and added a Unity sentiment. Both panels were die cut with Lil Inker stitched rectangles.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. We were fortunate enough to dodge that predicted snow, so all is calm in PA today.

HMFMC #214

The House Mouse & Friends Challenge #214 has an Easter/Anything goes theme. Flowers remind me of Easter, so even though this doesn't have an Easter sentiment, it has the elements and colors of Easter......at least in my mind. It qualifies for the anything goes theme anyway :)
I colored the image with Copics, adding some GinaK cardstock in lavender and green colors, with a black mat. The ribbon was a snippet from my stash, and the sentiment is by Verve. This card was quick and easy to put together, and can be used for many different occasions.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!
