Thanks

I made this quick and easy thank you card with some green and white cardstock and I was very pleased with the way it turned out for being such a fast card to make. The embossing folder is by Sizzix and it's an old one The Thanks is a die from Taylored Expressions and I cut it 3 times, stacking each one on top of the other and covering them with liquid applique. I added 2 thin strips of matching cardstock to the top and bottom of the plain panel on the embossing and finished it with 3 very tiny gemstones in the decorative emblem at the top

You are Pawsome

I recently received some fun crafty supplies from a thoughtful friend so I made her this thank-you card since she is a Dachshund mom. The little image, banner and sentiment are from an unbranded set and this was the first time I had the opportunity to use that sentiment and banner. It may also be the first outing for the ef too, I'm not sure if I ever used it before.  I added a tiny white star to the banner and die cut both the image panels with Lil Inker stitched rectangles. I used Island Indigo cardstock and a snippet of matching dsp to create the banner. The embossed panel was done with a Darice ef.

I'll share this with the Critter Crazy Challenge #89 - A/G featuring a critter.

Also sharing with NBUS Challenge #65 - never before used schtuff

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your Wednesday is a good one!

A Summery Thank You Card

A generous friend recently gifted me with 2 new small SU! embossing folders and I used one of them on this card. I had an old 12x12 piece of double sided Scenic Route Paper and used it to put this card together. I had a strip of red polka dot paper on my table that was a perfect match so I added that to separate the panels. I used a Nestabilities die set to cut the red and white flower panels, and added a punched SU! mini flower with a gemstone in the center. I added a die-cut fern behind it done with a Precious Maricke die and a snippet of green. The thank-you panel was done with a SU! die cut from the Chalk Talk Framelit set and stamped with a Unity sentiment. I added 5 green candy dots and called this one done.

Guest Designing for the Word Power Challenge.

I've been invited to guest design for the Word Power Challenge for June 2024 so here is my contribution. For this challenge, the sentiment words are to be the focus of our cards. I pulled out some of my favorite retired designer papers and cardstock from SU! called Bermuda Bay along with an older Simon Says Stamp set of heart-shaped Thank-you dies. I cut the card base and designer paper panel with Lil Inker stitched rectangle dies and then decided to add the "so much" panel to the thank you with some MFT alphabet letter stamps which I heat-embossed with white powder. I added 3 white pearls to finish this card.

I hope you can find time to play along with this challenge and use those great sentiments you have to make a card. You have a whole month in which to play along.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create!

Butterfly Thank You

I recently had my Memory Box Darla and Vivienne butterfly dies out to have a play with them and this is one of a few cards I made. I used a brand new Creative Expressions Daisy Doo stencil to create the panel on the right, adding some tiny black dots to the flower centers with a black marker. The black border was done with a MFT notched border die and I added a thin strip of black to the other side of the polka dot panel. The sentiment panel was stamped with a Lawn Fawn thank you, and die cut with a Lil Inker die to finish this card.

Thank You Card

I needed to make a thank-you card so I pulled out a big black and white paper pad I bought a few years ago and made this card. All the papers are from that huge pad and I used a Lil Inker stitched diagonal die along with a die-cut Gina Marie Designs Venetian Label for the TE die-cut THANKS. I added 3 sparkle stickers randomly although you can only see one on the black panel

I'm sharing this with the Sketch Saturday Challenge #747 which has a twist to use black and white

Also sharing with the Word Power #3 challenge where the sentiment is to be the focus of your card.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you the best possible day.

Thank You Card

I'm burned out from making Christmas cards and treat boxes, so today I wanted something bright and colorful to change my mood. I found a great sketch that inspired me to make this card. Since we've had no sunshine for several days and won't have any for several more, I added some bright colors to cheer myself up from these gloomy rainy days.
I had a snippet of mint green cardstock that I embossed with a WRMK gemstone embossing folder and also had a snippet of turquoise cardstock with which I die-cut the ticket sentiment panel along with a strip to divide the 2 panels. I used an ARTplorations broken glass stencil along with assorted Distress inks to create the panel on the right side. The sentiment was stamped at a friends house years ago and I added a tiny red heart brad and called this one done.

I'm sharing with the following challenges:

Thank You Card

A thoughtful friend shared some of this gorgeous designer paper with me and  I immediately matched it with some Bermuda Blue and dark green cardstock and made a quick thank-you card. The sentiment was in my snippet box - pre-printed from who knows where? This paper is so pretty I didn't think this card needed anything more.

I'll share it with the Little Red Wagon Challenge #730 - Thanks a Lot!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Green Patchwork Thanks

As promised, here is the green version of the patchwork cards I've been making with the same sketch design and some old matching cardstock and envelopes I've had for eons. I used green snippets of designer paper and die-cut the sentiment panel with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle. I added a tiny die-cut stem and a little white flower done with 2 mini SU! retired punches and added a black gemstone to the center.

Thanks for stopping by today and do make it a great day whatever you're doing!

Blue Glitter Thank-you Card

I made this thank-you card with some blue glitter paper and some MFT stitched horizontal dies. I also used assorted heart dies and a KaiserCraft thank-you die with some pre-embossed cardstock. This was quick and easy to make and the glitter paper did all the fancy work for me!

Quick and Easy today, but thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful spring weekend!

Thanks

When I made this card, and this card recently, I mentioned I'd made several cards using this great sketch design from my friend Wendy. Today I have a Thank You card inspired by the same sketch design and more SU! Wonderful World designer papers. I added an unbranded butterfly die cut along with a stitched circle die and added a die-cut Thanks sentiment by T.E and called this one done.

Imagine my surprise to see this week's Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #580 was this exact same sketch design, so I'm sharing this card over there.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, I wish you all a wonderful day!

Thanks

I made time to make another card by using up many strips of paper lying on my desk for quite a while. I adhered matching strips to a scrap of white in a herringbone design; then die-cut the panel with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle. I die-cut the card base as well. The sentiment panel was done with a Spellbinders labels die, and I added random silver and white stems found in my snippets box. I added a layered punched mini flower. The sentiment was die-cut 3 times and stacked, then covered with glossy accents for a little shine. I added 3 large rhinestones and a smaller one to the flower center and called this one done.

I'm sharing this over at the Snippets Playground Challenge #444. This time the challenge has a theme - "anything but Christmas"

Also sharing with the Colorful Options January Challenge - basic black

Either I've forgotten how to center text on my blog, or blogger has done away with it because I can no longer do it the way I've done it for years. The new year will bring many more changes along with it I'm sure :)

Thanks for dropping by and have yourself the best possible day.

Red, White, and Blue Thank-You

Hello and a very happy Monday.
Happy Independence day to my American friends who are celebrating today too.
I didn't make any July 4th cards this year, but I did make this card some time ago and decided it was just too busy to post it LOL Then today I decided since I had nothing else to share with the red, white, and blue patriotic holiday, I'd post it anyway.
I had a small piece of red, white and blue striped dsp which had pastel blue stars on the reverse side. The tiny border had the dark blue background with tiny stars, and I found another snippet of red & white striped paper. I randomly cut all the pieces into bits, then added a full layer of adhesive onto a 4x5-1/4 piece of white cardstock with my Xyron. I randomly added the bits to the adhesive, leaving gaps between them, then sprinkled on some white pearl embossing powder and heat set everything. Next I die-cut a piece of the striped paper with a MFT diagonal stitched die, and placed it across the front with a snippet of ribbon behind it. The Thank-You die cut by Kaisercraft was in my snippets box (a pre-cut with a different color) that I colored up with a dark red Copic. As if this wasn't already busy enough, I added a couple red mirror card stars done with a retired SU! mini punch!
Lastly I placed it on a dark blue card base.

Here's a little close up of that pearl embossing powder.

I'll add this to the Color Hues #44 Challenge which is
the colors of Red and Blue.

which is red. white, and blue

Thanks for stopping by and make it a wonderful day!

Give Thanks

Today I'm sharing a couple envelopes I made to give a season-ending little something to the fellows who mow our lawn for us. They're dependable and do a great job, so I like to give them something extra at the end of the growing season just to say "thanks" for a job well-done.
I created these envelopes by measuring around a bill and adding enough overlap for flaps. I decorated the fronts with die-cut stitched panels done with a MFT die, along with some Lawn Fawn autumn-themed designer paper and die-cut stitched leaves. The backs have a little tag with their name on them and a smaller leaf sealing the envelope. The Thanks was done with a Taylored Expressions die. Guys don't care much about the envelopes anyway - they're interested in what's inside, right? 😉

Thanks for the visit, I wish you all a good day today and a great weekend ahead too.

Thank You

I've been trying to use up the designer papers I've hoarded loved for ages, so today's card includes some pretty papers from a Teresa Collins pad called Everyday Moments. I also used snippets of Bashful Blue and So Saffron cardstock from SU! Those colors may also be retired by now too, I just can't keep up with all that anymore 😐
I found this die-cut bird and branch in my snippets box, so I just colored them both with Copics and glaze pens. The scalloped border was done with a Sweet'n'Sassy die; the circle with a MFT stitched die, and the sentiment panel with a Lil Inker stitched die. I received the sentiment stamp free with a Lawn Fawn order and have had it probably 3 years or more.

I based my card on the Retro Rubber challenge #167 - let's get sketchy

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Thursday! This month is just whizzing by for me! It seems like Labor day was just a couple days ago, and already September is half-gone! I must be sleeping too much while all this time is flying away! 😏

Thank You Card

I had some pink cardstock on my table, so I decided to make a thank-you card. I used some Spellbinder Nestabilities Labels 2 dies for the sentiment panel and mat, along with a retired SU! sentiment that's been a favorite of mine for years. I used a new ARTplorations gridlock stencil to create the background along with some CTMH soft grey ink. The pink border was done with an EK bricked punch and some GinaK bubblegum cardstock, and I matted it with black for contrast. I punched another border from white, and used it as a stencil to decorate the envelope with matching pink ink. The gemstones are from Gina Marie Designs

Autumn Thank You

I have an Autumn-themed card today made with some SSS Orange Peel and Lemon Chiffon cardstock. Sorry the yellow looks more like vanilla, but it's a beautiful pastel yellow color. I used a Poppystamps Tulisa collage to cut the panel on the front, adding a piece of orange behind it. The matching orange border was made with an EK punch, inserting gold-embossed negatives, and adding a narrow piece of brown ribbon. The sentiment is from SU! (r) gold-embossed on a piece of chocolate cardstock and I added orange, gold and yellow gemstones to finish this one with a little sparkle.

I took a photo from a different angle, but the yellow still looks like vanilla😏

I'll enter this into these challenges:

Kindness Matters

My card today has a thank-you sentiment inside. I bought the SSS Kindness Matters die quite some time ago but I don't think I've used it until now. I used some old designer papers from the Bo Bunny Liberty collection that I bought many years ago when I was making cards for Operation Write Home (now closed). I used a vanilla card base, along with a die-cut SU! Chalk Talk sentiment panel. The quilt die is from MFT and the buttons were made with Impression Obsession dies. I wove thin strips of matching papers and cardstock through the holes to give the buttons a sewn-on look.

I'll enter this into these challenges:

Thanks for taking a moment from your Monday to stop by 😊
Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Embossed Strips

I found a sketch that inspired me to pull out some colorful snippets of cardstock and play along, but the challenge closed before I could finish the card! 😏 Oh well, this has become a repeat habit for me lately it seems.
I laid the strips side-by-side into a WeRMemory Keepers Gemstone ef to make the design, then placed them onto a black card base. I die-cut a Darice flower stem from green, white, and black, and fussy cut the white flowers and covered them with Wink of Stella for some subtle sparkle. The final touch was to add a pre-printed Simon Says Stamp birthday sentiment and I called this one done.

I'll enter this into these challenges:

Seize the Birthday #217 - embossing folder

I decided to make a thank-you card using some different card stock colors along with a KaiserCraft thank-you die. I cut 3 of the sentiments, stacking them on top of each other and covered with Wink of Stella glitter. I used some black Nuvo drops for added interest.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope everything is well and good in your world today.

Sweet Pea Thanks

I recently won this Poppystamps Sweet Pea Stem die by participating in a blog challenge and immediately made a thank-you card to send to the generous blogger who sent it to me. I die-cut the stem from wasabi green and powder pink cardstock, adding Copic highlights to the flowers to give them depth of color. I found an older retired SU! "thanks" stamp and added some pink glitter Nuvo drops for a wee bit of sparkle.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:
