Happy Fall Y'all

I found this cute fall squirrel image sitting in my box of stamped images waiting to be used, and now that fall is in the air, it's the perfect time to color it and make a card with it. Sorry, I didn't write the mfr's name on the back when I stamped it, so I have no idea who made the stamp. After coloring with Copics, I die-cut the image with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle and matted it with a scrap of yellow. The background was made with snippets of retired SU! dsp, randomly cut into shapes and placed on an adhesive sheet, then embossed with white pearl embossing powder to cover all the exposed adhesive for a fun look. The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy stamped on a snippet of orange cardstock, die cut with a MFT stitched circle with an added leaf remnant of a border punch I had years ago. I placed it on a kraft cardstock base and called it done.

I'm sharing with these challenges:

Mother's Day Bouquet

I played with an older retired SU! set of Beautiful Bouquet dies to create this mother's day card. I die cut all the flowers with assorted colored bits of cardstock and arranged them all into a bouquet adding a purple die-cut ribbon to hold them all together.  I dotted the flowers with black Nuvo dots. The stitched frame is unbranded and I used 2 retired SU! punches to make the SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment panel.

I'm sharing this card with the following challenges:

Sending Love

I think everyone enjoys having a little love sent through the mail now and then, so I made this card with a Memory Box Serafina Heart die. I cut it from red and from vellum, and layered the two over one another to look as if the wind was blowing it apart. I found a piece of designer paper that looked like blue swirled clouds on white and die-cut it with a Lawn Fawn stitched windy backdrop die, then added some red heart brads, along with a die-cut love sentiment and a partially stamped sentiment. Wouldn't it be wonderful if love could be spread all around the world with the wind?

Sending a Paper Hug

I found this older Inky Antics stamp that I've had for probably 8-10 years and decided to give it some love. I pulled out some pretty aqua cardstock and die-cut the sentiment panel with a Kat Scrappiness die, adding a computer generated sentiment. I stamped the image on white and colored it with Copics, adding some stenciled clouds with TE cloud stencils and tumbled glass distress ink, and then added a couple of stamped SNSS birds in the sky. I die cut the image panel with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle and called this one done.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

the Allsorts Challenge week #747 - four legged friends or A/G

Cardz 4 Galz - use a stencil, a sentiment, and an image

the Retro Rubber Challenge #216 - must use a stamp older than 1 year
with the following Tic Tac Toe Grid

I used the diagonal line from the top left down to the bottom right - animal, your choice (stencil), die cut or punch

Thanks for the visit and I wish you a wonderful day today!

No Sentiment

While rummaging through my snippets box, I found this pre-made butterfly already die-cut and layered with colors. When I first made it, I didn't like the color combo so I tossed it into the snippets box and forgot about it. I had just a few bits of orange cardstock left in a pack that matched the butterfly so that's how this butterfly card came together. The card base, orange panel and embossed panel were each die cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die. The embossed panel was done with an Anna Griffin Treillage EF. I added a big gemstone to the butterfly body along with 3 tiny ones to finish this card. I will add a sentiment to the inside when it's time to send this card.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

Happy Mother's Day

I was looking through my Sunny Studios paper pad the other day and decided to make a patchwork card with some left-over pieces I had from other projects. I placed the pieces on a pretty lavender card base and added a die-cut sprig of flowers done with a Darice die, cutting the flowers and centers from more snippets found in this paper pad. I just love the pretty spring-like colors and patterns for a Mother's day card. I added a heat-embossed white sentiment panel on black done with a SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp and finished this with a pink twine bow.

I'll share this with the Cardz 4 Galz challenge #198 which is Mother's day -
or flowers for a friend

Also sharing with the Allsorts Challenge # 727 - April showers bring May flowers - or  A/G

Wishing you a happy start to the new week and thanks so much for stopping by as always.

Thinking of You

This card was made with some beautiful SU! Wonderful World papers a thoughtful friend shared with me recently. I was inspired by this design for using designer papers to create my card, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. I used a MB pair of Vivienne and Darla butterfly dies along with a MFT stitched circle die for the image panel. The sentiment was done with an Elizabeth Craft designs die. This reminds me of spring with the butterfly and spring floral papers! I long for the warmer weather......until it gets too hot and then I'll long for the colder temps again 😉

I'll share this card with the following challenges:

Tic Tac Toe Challenge 201- I used the far right vertical of butterfly, patterned paper, and floral

Happy Valentine's Day!

 Happy Valentine's day everyone!
Today I have an easy valentine to share made with snippets of black, red, and some pre-embossed woodgrain white cardstock from SSS. I used an I.O. wooden heart die to create the layered hearts and embossed the background with a SU! embossing folder. I added a sentiment along with a little heart-shaped brad and called this one done.

Sharing this with the following challenges:

Happy Spring

I'm tired of winter and looking forward to spring's arrival, so I made this card. I started by taking strips of retired SU! dsp and lining them up in a row, then after adhering, I cross cut them and arranged them into a little pattern. After that, I die-cut that piece with a stitched circle die. I die-cut a smaller circle, then stenciled clouds with some Tumbled Glass ink, and stamped a SNSS image and colored it with Copics and glaze pens. I had one strip of the snippets left over, so I cut it in half and placed it on an unused strip of the blue to make the border. The background was embossed with an Anna Griffin ef and the final touch was a little twine bow.

I'll enter this into the following challenges:

Sending Love

Today I have a "sending love" card that I'll be using for a valentine. I embossed the black background with a Sizzix Hearts die and then used a Simon Says Stamp stacked hearts die to cut the main panel from white card stock and red glitter paper. The sentiments were from a Catherine Pooler stamp set, fussy cut and backed with more red glitter paper.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

It's been a while since I posted 2 cards in 2 days, so I'm on some sort of a roll I suppose. 😉 Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great day ahead!

Dragonfly Birthday Card

This card was recently received so I feel comfortable posting it now. I started with some woodgrain cardstock from SSS, and added a SNSS die-cut border with some teal cardstock, weaving some ribbon through it that has little clouds printed on it. I used a GMD die to cut the dragonfly from a piece of watercolored Yupo paper. then added the heat-embossed SSS sentiment with 3 teal colored gemstones.

I'd like to share this with these challenges:

Gnomes are Fun!

I was still in the mood to work with my SSS Gnome die, so I made a couple of cards using snippets of dsp and cardstock. I bought a pack of that beautiful embossed silver cardstock at Tuesday Morning a couple years ago and I have quite a few small snippets left, so I cut 2 for this card design. I also used snippets of a beautiful pink, black, and white plaid paper I bought at a scrapbook warehouse on a visit to Tennessee quite a few years ago. The polka dot dsp is from my stash as well as the pink. I found a printed circle with a SNSS birthday sentiment, and die cut a scalloped circle to place behind it, then added 2 T.E enamel dots in matching colors. I was so pleased with the way this turned out, I decided to make a 2nd card - switching things up a little bit.

For this one, I swapped the outfit colors on the gnome and added a friendship sentiment cut with a Lil Inker stitched die. I added a little twist of twine just for fun.

I will enter the first card into the following challenges:

Cardz4Galz Challenge #120 - Black and Pink

I might possibly have figured out what my issues are with loading photos to my computer after discussing it with a friend. My camera disk may be corrupted or so old it just doesn't want to work anymore, but time till tell after I'm able to fetch a new one to know for sure. I was able to upload these cards I made recently after unplugging the USB cord and plugging back in and formatting the disk in the camera. {finners crossed} I'm that person who doesn't fix things if they're not broke! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Sunday.  We have some more dreary, rainy weather for today which really doesn't enhance my mood by any means :(
