Sunflower

I made this card with a Simon Says Stamp sunflower die and put it on a script background, adding a stitched die-cut tag with an older Verve sentiment, twine bow, and a yellow gemstone. I die cut the flower using 4 different colors of cardstock and backed it with white. I know Mother's day is in May but that sentiment just seemed to go well with the image.

I'm sharing this with the Double D Sunflowers Challenge.

use birds, blooms, and butterflies (use 1,3 or all 3)

Thanks for stopping by on this Wednesday and I hope it's a great day for you!

Flowers for Mother

I made this card recently for Mother's day, using a Darice flower die along with some olive green, yellow embossed cardstock and little bits of black for the flower centers. I stenciled the background with some T. E. cloud stencils and some TH Tumbled Glass Distress ink, then stamped a couple birds done with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I also stamped a tiny Sweet 'n Sassy butterfly and dotted some colors on it with glaze pens. The final touch was adding the heat-embossed sentiment from SU!'s teeny tiny wishes, done with white ep on black and cutting it with some Gina Marie Designs Venetian Label dies.

Mother's Day Bouquet

I played with an older retired SU! set of Beautiful Bouquet dies to create this mother's day card. I die cut all the flowers with assorted colored bits of cardstock and arranged them all into a bouquet adding a purple die-cut ribbon to hold them all together.  I dotted the flowers with black Nuvo dots. The stitched frame is unbranded and I used 2 retired SU! punches to make the SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment panel.

Mother's Day Card

We celebrate Mother's day here in the US on May 12th so I made a few cards to send to my friends for the occasion. This one was done with a silver heat-embossed image panel using some very old Verve stamps that I've had for years. I added a tiny pink paper flower and put a rhinestone gem in the center for a little sparkle. The background was done with a Cuttlebug Geometric Rings embossing folder and I dotted the centers with some silver Stickles dots. The pink panel was die-cut with a Gina Marie Designs Venetian Label die.

I'm sharing this card with these challenges:

The Double D challenge - Pretty Florals for Mom

Shopping our Stash SOS520 - Make a Mother's day Card

Can you Handle the Pressure? Embossing Challenge - A/G using an embossing folder with an optional twist of "feminine."

I need to get my Mother's day cards addressed and mailed as this notable day for Mom is right around the corner! Thanks for the visit and have a fabulous day!

Mother's Day Card

Today I have a card that was created with lots of snippets. I stenciled the blue skies with cloud stencils I made years ago with assorted punches. The white clouds (covered with Wink of Stella) and the little sun in the corner are die cuts from Lawn Fawn. The bluebird and branches were done with a SU! punch and the white panel on the bottom was done with a Martha Stewart border punch. The tiny ladybug was done with a MB die and the little flowers were done with SU! dies and stamps. The pink frame was done with a Gina Marie Designs scalloped frame die. The sentiment is from Verve and I added a tiny gemstone to the bird for it's eye and little black gems to the flower centers to finish this one.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

The Snippets Playground #479 - Must use Snippets

The Allsorts Challenge Week # 778 - Use a Stencil or A/G

Happy Mother's Day!

I made this little basket for a neighbor/friend of mine for Mother's day. I filled it with lemon shortbread cookies as she loves anything lemon flavored.
I found the tutorial to make the basket HERE.

I used strips of SU! designer papers with pretty flowers to make the basket and found snippets of matching colors and punched a few flowers, adding Nuvo pink drops to the centers. The sentiment was heat-embossed with white ep on a snippet of black and cut with a SU! word window punch. I added a piece of pink sheer ribbon to tie it all up for a cute little gift for Mother's day.

I'll share this with the Snippets Playground Challenge #454 which is always to use your snippets.

Also sharing with the Allsorts Challenge #728 - A/G - embellish it

Wishing all the Moms, grandmoms and great grandmoms out there a very happy Mother's day today! I hope you all do something to make your day special!

Happy Mother's Day

Here's a mother's day card made with some older products. I stenciled a piece of white card with some Spun Sugar distress ink  and a Tim Holtz burlap stencil. Next I matted it with grey card, using an old retired SU! corner punch. All of the flowers were done with a SSS Bella Bloom die set, and I added a tiny black button brad to the center with some tiny dots of black Nuvo drops to the centers of the smaller flowers. The greenery was done with Shasta Twig dies and the sentiment is By Verve. I dotted the big flower with a white marker after putting it together.

I'll share this card with the following challenges:

Happy Mother's Day

I was looking through my Sunny Studios paper pad the other day and decided to make a patchwork card with some left-over pieces I had from other projects. I placed the pieces on a pretty lavender card base and added a die-cut sprig of flowers done with a Darice die, cutting the flowers and centers from more snippets found in this paper pad. I just love the pretty spring-like colors and patterns for a Mother's day card. I added a heat-embossed white sentiment panel on black done with a SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp and finished this with a pink twine bow.

I'll share this with the Cardz 4 Galz challenge #198 which is Mother's day -
or flowers for a friend

Also sharing with the Allsorts Challenge # 727 - April showers bring May flowers - or  A/G

Wishing you a happy start to the new week and thanks so much for stopping by as always.

Mother's Day Flowers

I recently unearthed my older Flourishes calendar stamps and was so happy to have discovered that I still had them because I thought I'd given them all away a long time ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find them since the company has now gone out of business. I pulled this Iris stamp out first because an Iris is one of my favorite flowers - probably because it's purple. (my favorite color) It also happens to be the flower for the month of May which includes Mother's Day. I colored the image with Copics and a glaze pen, adding some die-cut grass with a SNSS border grass die. The frame was created by using 2 different sizes of stitched square dies and the sentiment is by Verve who has also gone out of business too unfortunately.

I'm entering this into these challenges:

The Color Hues Challenge #62 - purple & green (my favorite color combo!)

The Triple B April Challenge  - Birds, Butterflies, Blooms or all 3

The Retro Rubber Challenge #204 - Spring Scenes  *must use stamps older than 1 year - mine are both probably 8-10 years old or more.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Monday, and thanks so much for stopping by.

Mother's Day Blooms

I made another Mother's day card using my favorite color combo of purple and green. I found this die-cut frame sent to me by a thoughtful blogging friend some time ago and decided it was time to use it. I stamped and embossed the Hero Arts flower 3 times with silver embossing powder and fussy cut each of the 3 layers; popping them up on foam bits. The green leaves were also embossed in silver and fussy cut. The sentiment was done with a (r) SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp and more silver embossing powder, then punched with a (r) SU! word window punch. For the final touch, I added some crystal beads to the flower center and along one side of the frame.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

The Color Hues Challenge #39 - purple and green

the Allsorts Challenge #673 - something beginning with "B"
(blooms, beads)

I noticed things have changed here on blogger with a recent update, so apparently I can no longer copy & paste graphics for challenges. I guess I will have to stop using them in my posts. I hate when things change in this regard as it makes it difficult for me to learn all the new ways of doing things.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day ahead!

Mother's Day Card

I had this sheet of dsp left from an old paper pad and decided to use it to make a mother's day card since it had flowers on it. I cut a stem with a Cheery Lynn die and added punched flowers to it using retired SU! mini flower punches, adding green gemstones to the centers. The sentiment was done with GMD Venetian Labels dies in coordinating colors. Actually the green is the flip side of this piece of dsp, while the flowers were tiny snippets left from the coordinating papers in the pad. The covers are long gone, so I don't know who made the papers but I'm glad I was able to finally use them. The sentiment is from SU! (retired) teeny tiny wishes.

I'm sharing this with the Color Hues Challenge #39 - purple & green

Have a great weekend everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day

Wishing all the moms out there a very happy day as we celebrate the moms in our lives on this day set aside to honor them.
I have a card made with a very old Inkadinkado stamp set. I die-cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock with a MFT stitched horizontal die and stamped the mother's day sentiment with Versamark ink, then heat-embossed it with white ep. Behind it is a doily a friend sent me a long time ago that I inked with some spun sugar ink, then placed some Darice die-cut daisies on top. I die cut the flowers from green, Berry Burst, and bits of yellow , placing the flowers on top and adding some yellow for the centers. I added 3 black sequins and called this one done.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Quick Mother's Day Card

Here's a quick and easy mother's day card I made with limited supplies. I used a Berry Burst card base along with a snippet of patterned paper that had matching flowers. I used a stitched frame die to cut some embossed silver card stock bought at Tuesday Morning several years ago and placed it on the piece of dsp. I added a matching die-cut stitched tag with a silver heat-embossed Verve sentiment and added a little flower gem I've had in my stash for years.

I'd like to share this with the following challenges:

I hope you have a great day and thanks as always for stopping by.

Here's a little funny for your Wednesday smiles:

Mother's Day

I have a mother's day card to share today done in soft pink and white. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug Geometric Rings ef, and I added a die-cut SNSS border. The circles were die-cut with a SB scalloped die, as well as a MFT stitched circle die. The sentiment was stamped in soft grey with a Verve stamp, and the butterfly was die-cut with a GMD set of dies. I added some pink Nuvo drops to the butterfly body and to the centers of each design on the embossed panel.

Mother's Day Card

Here's a mother's day card I made using pastel colors. The pastel blue background was done with a lawn Fawn die, and the pink frame was die-cut with an unbranded stitched die. The little gnome is from SSS and was done with snippets from assorted paper pads in pastel colors. I added a couple of pink bows to her hair that were colored with a fluorescent pink Copic marker. The tiny hearts on her dress were filled in with pink Nuvo drops. The sentiment is from a Verve stamp set called "Because of You" that I've had for a decade or longer, while the word "friend" was done with a random stamp from my collection.

I'm sharing this with the Retro Rubber Challenge #156 - pastels

Wishing you all a warm and wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!

Mother's Day Tulips

 Happy Tuesday everyone!
I found a strip of soft pastel striped dsp in my stash and it reminded me of spring, so I paired it with some pastel yellow cardstock and this stampendous image to make a card for mother's day. I colored the image with Copics, and added a stamped tiny butterfly from the SNSS serene silhouettes set, coloring it with Copics and a glaze pen, and adding highlights with a fine black marker. I added some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers to give them a soft shimmer, and added a SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes sentiment along with an EK bricked punched border. The image panel was die-cut with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

the Flower Challenge #55 - pretty pastels

It sure is great to see all those beautiful spring flowers blooming after such a long winter!
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop and smell the roses :)

Mother's Day Card

This rose was made with a piece of dsp from the DCWV black & white paper pad. I colored the rose and leaves with Copics; heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder, and then fussy cut it. I found the pink punched border (done with a MS doily punch) in my snippet box and heat-embossed a couple black snippets of cardstock with an Anna Griffin ef, and popped the rose on top. The polka dot background is yet another piece from that DCWV black & white paper pad, and I finished this with a SU! sentiment (cut crooked again - sigh 😕) and some pink and black Nuvo dots for sparkle.

I used the Paper Players Sketch Challenge PP534 to make this card so I'll enter it over there.

Now that I'm finished making Easter cards, it's time to move onto the next occasion which is our traditional Mother's day - the first Sunday in May. It will be here before we know it!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms, Grandmothers, and great Grandmothers out there as we celebrate this special day set aside to honor you! I hope you can find creative ways to spend time together and make the best of this day.
My mother's day card was done in shades of lavender and purple with a touch of plaid. The stitched circle and black sentiment were both done with GMD dies, and the little gnome was done with a SSS gnome die. The two panels were done with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and the "happy" was done with an Echo Park Happy Easter die. The bitty flowers were done with a SU! mini flower punch and dotted with clear rhinestones in the centers.

Mother's Day Card

Today I have a pink Mother's day card to share. I stamped the SU! doily image on pink card stock with Versamark, then heat-embossed it with white ep. I used a SNSS border die, cutting in both colors and swapping the little bits for some contrast. I added some Nuvo pearl drops to the lower holes on the die. The sentiment is from Verve, and I added 2 tiny flowers done with SU! mini punches for the final touch.

Mother's Day Card

I was recently inspired by this card Liz made, and wanted to create a rainbow card of my own. I pulled out my PTI Center Stage Cover Plate die and made a cut with black and other snippets of assorted colors to make the background. The flower was made with a Sunflower Stem die from SSS and different colors of cardstock, while the sentiment was done with SU! punches and their Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I'm sharing this with the As You See It Challenge #223 which is
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Thanks for the visit, and I hope you are all coping with life in a positive way. We're trying our best here, but it's not getting any easier! Take good care and stay well.
