Ivory and Lace

Here's my take on the Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge #57 which is to create a card using ivory and lace. I wish the photograph showed more sponging detail because the entire piece is sponged with alabaster chalk ink, and IRL it adds a beautiful, soft contrast. I scored the background on my Scor-Pal and sponged all over. I also used a beaded oval, and the petite ovals dies, along with the stem die from SU!. I crocheted 2 flowers using embroidery thread, and added a strip of crocheted lace. The final touch was adding a few Kaiser champagne pearls. The sentiment was stamped with Vintage Photo ink. I think it's always good to keep a few sympathy cards on hand so you don't have to scramble to create one when they're needed.
Thanks for stopping by today, and make it a great day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day Everyone! If you're looking for this week's Stamps R Us challenge, please scroll down one post.
This card is for The Sweet Stop sketch challenge SSS110 found here. I used this new digi image called Cocoa's Sundae and colored it with Copics. I added a few chocolate chips to the mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate chip ice cream and a few strawberries for that flavor too :)
I used some retired SU dp and some yellow from the paper co, embossing with a CB ef. I added some bakers twine and a button for an accent and added some glossy accents to the chocolate syrup and cherry. YUMMY huh?
And this card is for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #71 found here. I used the SNS Cocoa's Popcorn digi image, coloring with Copics. I used a scrap of unknown DP for the vertical strip and added a couple yellow eyelets for interest. I'm not going to add a sentiment for this one because it can be used for lots of different occasions.
I hope you'll all take a moment to remember our fallen heroes on this special holiday and remember that without those brave men and women, we wouldn't have the freedom we all take for granted each and every day. Have a fabulous kick-off to summer everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Pets R Us!

It's Monday and that means it's time for another Stamps R Us challenge! This week our sponsor is K'nK Designs and the theme is "Pets R Us!"
I'm using Kolar's Autumn digital image and although today is our unofficial start to the summer season, Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love all the warm colors and falling leaves, so this image just sings to me! I colored the image with Copics and added some punched leaves done with a MS punch. I layered the image on a Spellbinders labels four and matted that on a top note die cut. The DP is by K&Co from the specialty collection by Tim Coffey.
As always, there's a generous prize package from our sponsor, so grab those pet images and come play along with us! You'll have 2 weeks to link your cards, so have some fun!
Have a fabulous day and if you're celebrating Memorial day, I hope you have a great holiday weekend. Remember the meaning for this holiday and give thanks for those who served and continue to serve this great country of ours!
Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Meet and Some Cards for OWH

Here is the group that got together yesterday for another stamp meet at L&L in Ephrata, PA. It was a small turn-out, but we were all happy stampers and glad to get together again! From the left in the back is Mary, Jen, Cherie, Jill, Korin & Wendy. Seated are myself and Mary Anne. You can see a small portion of the "wall of stamps" behind everyone, so we had fun stamping a variety of images.
This is Mary who always has the greatest smile and you can find her beautiful cards here.
From the left is Korin of Sweet'nSassy stamps, Jen of JetStudio, and a stamper I've long admired and finally got to meet - Wendy of WeeBeeStampin4fun. Wendy's current home is in Joplin MO and she was back in PA on vacation when the tornado struck, so she'll be heading home next week with uncertainty as to what lies ahead. She knows her home is still standing but she told us she knows little else. I can't imagine what it feels like to witness the complete destruction of your town first hand. If you click on the link to her blog, you'll find some photos of Joplin after the catastrophe struck. Keep us posted when you get back home Wendy - we're all hoping for the best!
In addition to stamping some images, I finished these cards for OWH yesterday. I had them pre-cut and partially assembled, and put them all together while I was at the meet. This was a simple sketch that enabled me to use lots of scraps of DP, punched stars & flowers and small pieces of ribbon. They all have the "thinking of you" sentiment with an equal amount of feminine and masculine looks. OWH just reached their 1 millionth card milestone, so I'm contributing more cards to include into their 2nd million card count!
If you celebrate Memorial Day, please remember to pay tribute to those who served and continue to serve this great country of ours. Without them, we wouldn't have this great country to live in! Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge #10

This is the Outlawz sketch challenge #10 found here.
For my card I used the SNS Cookie Warms the Heart digi image found here. I colored it with Copics and added some BG and MM dp. I used a spellbinders blossom die to cut the light pink circle behind the image. I added some primas, brads, bling and a few swirly stamped images on the corners and teacup, with a scalloped border done with a SU fancy scallops punch.
I'm off to a stamp meet a little later this morning, so I'll leave you with wishes for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

SNSDC4 - Red, White & Blue Cocoa's Choo-Choo!

Happy Friday friends! It's the kick-off to an extended holiday weekend celebration of Memorial Day here in the US, and the unofficial start of summer! It's also time for another Sweet 'n Sassy digi challenge found here. The challenge this week is to create something using red, white, & blue! That's the perfect challenge for the upcoming holiday, since we pay tribute to those armed forces who served and continue to serve this great country of ours on Memorial Day.
For my card I used the Sweet 'n Sassy Cocoa's train digi image and colored it with Copics. I used a Cuttlebug star ef for the background and a spellbinders ribbon tag die for the sentiment. The birthday sentiment is from the Poppies and Greetings clear stamp set. I added some silver brads for the train wheels and some ribbon from my stash. The silver star is a button I made by embossing a piece of card stock with silver ep, and layering it with 4 more punched stars. I added glossy accents to the top, and after it dried I punched 2 holes with a Crop-o-dile and added a little snippet of ribbon.
Here's wishing everyone a wonderful holiday weekend and let's stand proud and honor the red, white, & blue for our past and present heroes!! God bless America!

Baseball Anyone??

My BFF asked me to make a card with a baseball theme that she was going to give to her grandson's baseball coach to thank him for his hard work with all the kids. Their team is called the "cougars" and their colors are green and grey. I used a SNSS cocoa's baseball hat digi image and colored it with green and gray Copics, adding an argyle embossed panel in green galore and some gray DP from the MM wedding stack. I added a black mat punched with a SU! spiral punch and a punched tag with 2 mini brads and a little baseball I hand drew and coated with glossy accents. The letter "C" on the hat was done with my Quickutz.
That's it for now, but I might be back with more later today :)

A Holiday Challenge and New Technique

There's a blog named Happily Ever Crafter where Ted is running a challenge to use the colors found in the Operation Write Home logo which are red, white, blue & gold. He's doing this as a salute to Armed Forces Day which was on May 21st, and he's also dedicating this challenge to OWH to bring recognition to this organization for their outstanding efforts in sending hand-made greeting cards to our military serving all over the world. Click the link above to go to Ted's blog and get all the details of the challenge. My card is very basic and will be going into my next OWH box.
This card is for the MTW found on the Stars & Stamps blog. This week's challenge is to use a new technique that you haven't tried before. I'm doing the black magic technique which I'm sure I tried many years ago, but it's been ages since I've done it, so it's like a new technique to me. I stamped the Flourishes image on black card stock using white craft ink. I embossed the image with white ep and colored it with Prisma colored pencils. You can also use chalk with this technique to color your image. I cut the image out with a beaded ovals die, and embossed the background piece with a Tim Holtz damask ef, lightly sanding afterward. For the final touch I wove a piece of taffeta ribbon through the holes on the bottom and popped the image up on dimensionals. I'll leave the sentiment off of this one so it can be used for any occasion.
Thanks for stopping by folks! I'll be back again soon :)

Trying a New Challenge

I'm playing along with a new-to-me sketch challenge from the Outlawz challenge. The sketch looked simple enough and I pulled out my well-loved Serendipity Mustang horse image to create my card.
I used the Sizzix plaid embossing folder, stamping with Memento Rich Cocoa, Potters Clay, and Dessert Sand inks on the top of the embossing folder, and then running it through the Big Kick. I stamped the image on water color paper and colored it with Tombows and an aqua brush. I cut 1" squares diagonally to create the corners, and added a horseshoe charm with a brad. This will make a great card for any guy who likes horses, so I'll add a sentiment when the occasion calls for it to be used.
Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me..........have a great Tuesday!

Three 4 Monday

I made cards yesterday for 3 different challenges and first up is the Speedy the Cat's Friends #56 to do a tone on tone card with a popped up focal image. I interpreted tone on tone to be pretty much the same thing as monochromatic, so I did this in shades of yellow & gold. I used the new Planted with Love stamp set from MFP that I won last week, and I haven't been able to put it down since I received it last week! I colored this with Copics and used scraps from my bin.
Next up is the sketch from this weeks Stars Stamps challenge #70. This was super easy for me and I used the Spellbinders Sprocket dies, along with the CB diamond plate ef, which I added color to with a C1 Copic marker on the raised portions. I did the red border with a SU! spiral punch and the sentiment is from MFP. The dp is from a Basic Grey stack.
And finally this card is for the Sweet'nSassy SSS109 sketch with a spin to make it masculine. I needed a little boy's birthday card, so I used blue as the main color. The digi image is by the Paper Shelter and I colored it with Copics and added some crackle Glossy Accents for interest. The little ribbon slide was made with a Quickutz die.
Wendy, if you're reading this I know you're safe back in PA this week, but I'm hoping & praying that your home was spared back in Joplin! There must be angels watching over your family that you chose this week to return to PA and avoided that devastating tornado. I can only hope for the best for you and all the other folks living in Joplin.
Have a great Monday everyone and thanks for stopping by.

New Stamps and a Special Birthday

I recently won a new set of stamps from MFP by playing along with the Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge found here. This set hasn't been released yet, but it's called Planted with Love and all of you gardeners out there are going to LOVE it! I think I squealed when I opened the package and saw them :) The seed packet I used here was really fun to color and just what I needed to pick me up after a gloomy, rainy week! The DP is by Basic Grey and I used black, brown and green cardstock. Don't you just love that little crow?! There's also a larger crow image in this set, and just wait until you see all the fun stamps that are included!! I love that when you win in this challenge, you never know what stamp set you're going to receive as a prize, because it's an unreleased set! Surprises are the best!! Big thank-you ((hugs)) Faith!!
My best friend's sister will be celebrating her 50th birthday later on today with a surprise party, and this is the card I made for her. Purple is her favorite color, so of course I made this to please her! I used Concord Crush cardstock, embossing in silver and adding silver beads. I also used Spellbinders foliage dies for the leaves and branches, doingboth with embossed silver cardstock and white. I also used the MS fern punch. I added a dainty floral embossed CB panel for the border, and did the embossed silver numbers with my Quickutz. Of course the embossed background is my favorite ef Square Lattice by SU! That ef just goes with everything, and I'm surprised I haven't worn it out yet! LOL

The sun made an appearance here in PA today and I'm feeling better already! I think every bone in my body has been crying for the past week with all the damp weather! The surprise birthday party starts soon, so it's time for me to get this day started! Have a fabulous Saturday everyone and thanks for stopping by!

SNSDC3 - C&S with a Button

Happy Friday everyone! It's time for the Sweet'nSassy Digi Challenge #3, and this week the challenge is to create a Clean & Simple card with a button. I chose the SNS Gardening Cookie digi and colored it with Copics. I matted the image with black and added a red button brad to the center of the flower on the pot. I also added a strip of embossed buttons to the bottom, along with a panel of fancy scallops. The sentiment is from the Poppies & Greetings clear stamp set, and I added a few line dots on either side with a very fine black marker.
Sweet & Sassy Stamps will be offering a generous prize to those who play along with our monthly challenges, so I hope you'll dig into your stash of SNSS digi images and play along with us. As a reminder, please know that you must use a Sweet 'n Sassy digi image on your card, and I know we all have buttons lying around just waiting to be used, right?
Make it a great Friday and thanks for spending a little bit of your day here with me :)

Stampin' B's Spring Card Challenge #111

I made this card for the Stampin'B's challenge #111 to make a spring scene card. I used a Flourishes tree image and colored it with markers before stamping. I pulled out a scrap of dp and a sheet of brown cardstock to get started. It was very quick and easy to make, but it's been so dreary with rainy weather that I couldn't get a good photograph at all. As luck would have it, as I began to post this card the sun made an appearance :) Ah well, such is life :)
I used a Spellbinders die cut for the MFP sentiment and the rest was just C&S. It looks better IRL, but this was the best I could come up with.
I hope the sun's shining wherever you are today :) Have a great day!

Stars & Stamps MWT - Summer Fun!

I made a card today for the Stars & Stamps MWT challenge to create a summer fun-themed card. I had a hard time making a card today, especially with a summer theme! It's been raining here in PA for a few days and it's just plain gloomy. I don't feel very creative with all this dreary weather, but I pulled out some summer stamps and made this card. I apologize for the photo - it was so hard to get the colors right without some bright daylight, but I did the best I could.
The image was a $1 stamp I got at Jo-Anne's a few years ago, but I've always loved it. I colored the umbrella with glaze pens and sponged the ground in with Memento Desert Sand ink, adding some detail work with Copics. The sky was created using a sponge with Memento Summer Sky ink and a cloud template made from 3 pieces of scalloped circle cardstock that were punched and glued together. The sentiment is from Marks Finest Papers & was stamped with Ranger walnut stain ink, and the tiny birds are by Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and they were stamped with versafine onyx black ink.
I hoped that making a summer fun card would ease me out of the blahs, but so far it isn't working :) I need some sunshine! I hope you have some sunshine wherever you are today, and thanks for stopping by!

Stamps R Us Digi Image Challenge

Di's Digi Downloads is our sponsor this week over at the Stamps R Us challenge blog! The challenge is to use a digital image on your cards. I chose this adorable Hello Ladybird image which you can find here. I colored the image with Copics and used some DCWV glittered cardstock for the background. The sentiment is from CTMH and was layered with some oval punches, and the borders were done with a SU fancy scalloped punch. I added some tiny hole punched cardstock on those borders and covered them with glossy accents and finally added a little knot with some SU turquoise grosgrain ribbon.
As always, if you play along with us you have a chance to win a very generous prize from our sponsor. You have 2 weeks to enter your card, so have fun with us!
Have a fabulous Monday and thanks for stopping by!

A Quick Post

This card is for the MFP Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge#55 which is to create a card with monochromatic blues, and I also used the sketch for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge#69. I always struggle to create monochromatic cards. but whenever I use Soft Sky it all seems to come together effortlessly. If there are any details you need to know about what I used to make this card or the one below, shoot me an email and I'll fill you in.
This card is for the Sweet Stop Sketch SSS108. I used a SNSS forget-me-not digi for this one, coloring with Copics and layering with scraps of DP from my bin.
I apologize for not giving specific details about these cards but I have a very good excuse. We were expecting out-of-town guests to arrive late tomorrow night and stay with us for a few days. Imagine my shock when they arrived unannounced at 9:30 this morning while I was sitting here in my pj's and robe!!!! They've gone to visit other friends for a couple hours this afternoon, so I thought I'd quick get these cards finished & posted while I have a few minutes.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Sunday!

Sweet'nSassy Customer Blog Hop - for the Guys

Here's my card for the Sweet 'n Sassy Customer blog hop found here. I'm using a brand new digi image from SNSS called Let's Go Fishing Puppy and isn't he just the cutest thing?! I used BG dp and added a scrap of unknown DP for the fish punch-outs that made the horizontal border. I also added a glossy-accents coated fish to the hook on the fishing pole and added a few drops of water with a Copic marker. For the final touch I added some hemp with a button. This would make a great father's day card for those dads out there that like to go fishing!
If you play along with this challenge (be sure to read the deets by clicking the link above) you'll get a free digi from SNSS! (the digi is shown on the link above and it will make some great father's day cards too!)
Thanks for stopping by today and I'll be looking for your creations!

QFTD60

I finished this card this morning which was made for the QFTD60 challenge to honor Anne Ryan.
Anne has a very unique style of stamping and I found it extremely difficult to CASE one of her creations, so I combined 2 of them to make my card. I really liked the paper piecing she did on this card but I knew the sketch from this card would work much better for me. It took me quite a while to paper piece this Rubbernecker "Monica" image, but I love how it turned out, so all the work was worth it for me. I'll add a sentiment to this one when the time comes to use it.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll be back later with my SNSS customer blog hop card - "one for the guys." With all the Friday the 13th blogger issues, we're all running a wee bit behind and having to play catch-up, but the blog hop is alive and well :)
Thanks for popping in to say "hey!"

The Sweet'NSassy Digi Challenge #2

The challenge this week at the SNSSDC#2 is to use this photograph for inspiration. I focused on those gorgeous orange tulips and designed my card around them.
Instead of a scored green panel to duplicate the wall, I opted to do the recessed diamond technique instead. I used turquoise, wasabi and some light orange cardstock to match the colors in the photo and left plenty of white as well. I used the SNSS tulips digi image and colored it with Copics. I added a sentiment from the SNSS Poppies & Greetings clear set and stamped it on a tag cut with my Cricut. I made a double bow using the Bow-easy and attached the tag with copper cording.
I hope you'll join us and play along with this new digi challenge and have some fun. Remember that your digi Cocoa images still qualify, so grab those stamps and make a card! If you play along each week you have a chance to win 3 free digis. We can't wait to see what you create. You'll also want to join the Sweet'nSassy connection too if you haven't heard about it yet! You can click the link on my sidebar to join!
Thanks for stopping by and hopefully these Friday the 13th Blogger issues will soon be history! Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend!

Double Challenge Time!

I made this card to meet 2 challenges. First up is the SC332 sketch challenge found here. I'm also entering this into the Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge 54 found here - which is to use stamps, papers and inks, but no embellishments. I pulled out my favorite MFP stamp set called Southwestern Cowboy and stamped the image with versafine onyx black ink, then embossed it with clear detail ep. Next I sponged on some Ranger vintage photo & antique linen inks, along with some Colorbox yellow, orange and red inks, and added a little interest with a Copic marker. The DP is retired SU! (sorry, I forget the name) and I used sage shadow, chocolate chip and really rust card stock. I embossed the background with a CB ef and covered it with Versamark ink, and embossed it with clear detail ep to make it look like a piece of leather. The sentiment is from the MFP Thankful Mums & Pumpkins stamp set and was done with chocolate chip ink. This card will be going into my next OWH box.
Have a fabulous Wednesday and thanks so much for stopping by!

TLC 324 MrFixit

My card today is for the TLC324 challenge to create colored embossing. I love doing this technique and the resulting unique backgrounds you can create. For mine I used Memento Bahama Blue and Grape Jelly inks, stamping the top of Sizzix plaid embossing folder in a plaid pattern, then running through the Big Kick. I used a brand new Sweet'nSassy digi image and sentiment called Mr Fixit. I added a few brads, eyelets and some purple hemp and this card was done! I think it will make a cute father's day card for someone's own Mr Fixit :)
Have a fabulous Monday everyone, and thanks for stopping by!

Just Sketchin' Around Today

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there!
I'm spending a leisurely day just stamping away and I had time to catch up on 2 sketch challenges. First up is the Stars&Stamps Sketch#68. This week they gave us a simple sketch, and I think this card took less than 10 minutes to make! A scrap of dp, a punched and embossed heart, a stamp and ink, and this card was done! I'll be using this sketch again and again I'm sure.
On the opposite side of C&S is this card for the SweetStop SSS107 sketch challenge. This sketch was a bit more complicated, but it was fun to make. I used Websters dp along with chocolate chip, baja breeze and old olive. The pink floral border was a gift from Benzi - thanks and hugs my friend :) I used a G studio image along with a SNS sentiment and added glossy accents to the flowers and faux brads.
When I cut & embossed the old olive labels 10 die cut, it looked too plain, so I embossed it with a Sizzix criss-cross diamond pattern ef to coordinate with the diamonds in the DP. Nope, that didn't work at all either. As a last resort, I ran the twice-embossed piece through the Big Kick with the square lattice ef and voila! I managed to save the diecut from the trash can and was finally happy with the results. Oddly enough, there's not a trace of the first 2 embossing attempts that show, so this square lattice ef is an amazing solution to fixing those embossing mistakes!!
I hope you're enjoying your Sunday and spending it with family and friends. Thanks for stopping by and spending a little bit of your day here with me :)

Penny Black Monochromatic

I made this card for the Penny Black National Scrapbook Day challenge found here. The challenge is to create a monochromatic card using PB stamps. I used the "to You" set for the floral image and the "bubbly" set for the masked-off sentiment. I used PB mix & match papers with white and a piece of Bo Bunny dp. I stamped the image with Versamark ink and embossed it with white ep, then masked it off and sponged around it with Memento Angel Pink ink. I added a few light strokes inside the flower petals with a Copic marker just for interest. The border along the bottom was done with a SU punch and I punched some tiny circles with a hole punch and added them to the border, dotting each one with Glossy Accents. Ditto for the larger dots on the side panel. I used a SU! ef and a bow-easy to create the bow.
I tend to shy away from doing monochromatic cards because I find them difficult to create, but I was lucky to find and mix some papers that worked well together. Now I'm glad I gave it a try!
It's time for a Saturday night race, so I'm outta here! Enjoy your evening and I wish all of you moms a very happy Mother's Day tomorrow!!

QFTD59 for Markie's Mom!

My card today is for the SCS QFTD59 who is Faith/aka Markies Mom/aka the owner of Marks Finest Papers. I chose this gorgeous card from her gallery to CASE. I changed it from a square card to a 5x7, using all Bo Bunny Timepiece dp with black cardstock. The sentiment is from the MFP set called "take the time & father's day" and I added a touch of color to the letters of the sentiment with a Copic E81 marker. The ribbon is by Offrey and the bow was done with a Bow-Easy. I used petite ovals and a fancy label die cut for the sentiment.
I hope to get a little stamping time in this afternoon, but for now there are more important things to be done!
Have a great Saturday and thanks for stopping by!

A MWT and a PB lift

This card is for the mid-week throwdown over at the Stars & Stamps blog. The challenge this week is to create cards of appreciation for a military spouse. I chose the Sweet'nSassy Serene Silhouettes image and a sentiment from SNSS Poppies and Greetings. I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and immediately poured clear detail EP on top, and followed with heat embossing. Then I sponged some Memento summer sky and SU! not quite navy inks. I made the frame with spellbinders labels four from navy cardstock and layered everything on a top note die cut. The embossed panel was done with the SU! square lattice ef.
This one is for the Penny Black challenge, which is to "lift" one of the DT's card designs......in other words - to CASE it. I found this gorgeous card by Elizabeth Allan and knew I had to make my own version. I used the PB set "To You", coloring with Copics and embossing the finished colored piece with clear detail ep. I added some gingham ribbon and a tiny button to the yellow flower center, tied with some pink embroidery thread. I switched up the colors, and didn't pop up all the flowers like Elizabeth's card, but I did add an embossed background for a little interest. I used some PB mix & match cardstock and I'm pleased with the way this one turned out.
Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me here and have a great Wednesday!

SCACD Anything Goes #15

I had a stamp that enabled me to play along with the SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge #5 this week. I used the Memory Box silhouette poinsettia for this image, stamping with versamark and embossing with clear detail ep on white cardstock. I sponged the image with Pear Pizazz while it was in the labels 4 die and then sponged the center with some Blue Bayou ink. It's layered with PP and BB cardstocks, and I did the letterpress technique with the background using a floral Impressabilities and PP ink. For the final touch I added some BB ribbon and green & white bakers twine. I'll be putting the sentiment on the inside when there is an occasion to use the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I'll be back soon :)

Stamps R Us Challenge for the Men in our Lives

Happy Monday everyone! It's time for another Stamps R Us challenge, and this week our sponsor is Dude Time Doodles! We're doing a masculine theme for the men in our lives. I used the "under carriage Craig" digi image for my card and I have to say that making this card was pure fun for me! I added smudgy finger prints and grease splotches here and there because that's what I know these guys look like after a little time underneath the car. I colored the image with Copics, adding grease to Craig's arms and hands, as well as the sentiment panel. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good photo to show all the glossy accents on the windshield and headlights because the metallic panel on the bottom kept reflecting light no matter which direction I aimed the camera. The bumper was done with a grey glitter pen and covered with Glossy accents and IRL it does look like chrome. The silver metallic cardstock panel was embossed using the diamondplate ef, and in spite of it looking so masculine and cool, I can never get a good photo of it. The wrench is a little charm my friend gave me and it worked perfectly for this image! I attached it with a metal brad.
I hope you'll join us for this challenge because there's a generous prize up for grabs from our sponsor.
Thanks for stopping by and have a marvelous Monday!

Sunday Stamping

This card was done for the Sweet Stop sketch challenge #106. I stamped this image a few days ago and just left it lying around, so today I made it into a card. It looks more like fall than summer, but I like these colors together. I stamped the image with versamark black ink, then embossed it with clear detail ep and sponged the colors on it while it was in the die. The smaller flowers were stamped on DP and embossed, then hand cut and popped up with foam tape. The stamps are by Sweet'nSassy, using serene silhouettes and Poppies and Greetings for the sentiment. DP is summer sun by BG and Que sera sera by K&Co. Embossed panel behind the main image was done with a SU! square lattice ef and the embossing on the gold panel was done with a Tim Holtz bricked ef.
This simple card was done for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #67. I used some basic grey dp and a CB embossing folder, adding some large & small tag punches for the sentiment. Sentiment is by MFP and I added some tiny star stickers and an eyelet on the tag. The tag is attached with a piece of bakers twine and I used a ribbon from my stash.
That will do it for me today, so have a great Sunday!
