Our Last Stamps R Us Challenge

Hello and welcome to the last Stamps R Us challenge. With sadness, the Stamps R Us challenge blog will be closing on February 27th after a winner is chosen. Life always gives us new challenges, and sometimes those situations  force us to reorganize our priorities and move in a different direction. You'll still see all of the SRU DT around blog land, so we're not going too far away!
And now on to the challenge. This week Digital Delights by Louby Lou is our sponsor and there's a generous prize awaiting the lucky winner who is randomly chosen. The challenge is "anything goes." I'm using the Angel Donita digi image. I colored this little cutie pie with Copics and cut it out using Spellbinders labels 18 dies. I used a smaller labels 18 die for the sentiment and added a few pink gemstones. The bubble gum pink cardstock was from my scrap pile and I embossed it with a CB swiss dots ef. The panels were outlined with a Tombow marker before cutting just to add a little interest.
You'll have 2 weeks to upload your creations to the Stamps R Us blog, and then after our winner is drawn on February 27th, the InLinkz and blog will close. We appreciate your loyalty and participation with the Stamps R Us challenges! Thanks too for stopping by and make it a great Monday!

Love is in the Air!

Hello, happy Monday, and welcome to another fun Stamps R Us challenge! This week we're challenging you to make love-themed or Valentine cards, and Robyn's Fetish is our sponsor. She's generously provided the DT with some  great digi images to use for our challenge, and the one I'm using is called "I Toadily Luv U."
I colored this with Copics and mounted it using Spellbinders square and scalloped square dies, along with some Cherry Cobbler card stock and Basic Grey dp. The female frog looked a bit distracted from the male frog's presenting his heart to her, so I stamped a few flies swarming around her head just for fun. She seems to be thinking "hmmmm.........tasty flies or love?" LOL The twin hearts on the sentiment panel were done with a Tonic paper punch.
I hope you'll have time to play along with our love/valentine theme, and as always, you'll have 2 weeks to upload your card. Don't forget to check all the great inspiration you'll find from the rest of the DT's creations right here.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a love-filled day!

Stamps R Us Challenge - Just Kidding Around!

Hello! Welcome to Monday and another Stamps R Us challenge. This week our sponsor is Bugaboo stamps and they've given the DT our fun images to work with. I chose this cute little Fireman Sunbonnet Truck image to work with because our challenge this week is to make cards for kids. I paired this image up with some Basic Gray Wander dsp and colored it with Copics. I punched some pieces of the dsp with the word window punch and added brads to make tabs. I used a ticket punch for the sentiment panel, punching 3 of them and adding a Happy Birthday To You sentiment. This card is all about boys and what little boy doesn't like to play with trucks and trains?!
I hope you'll swing over to the Stamps R Us blog to see the fabulous creations my fellow DT members have made to inspire you. If you play along you have the chance to win a very generous prize from Bugaboo, so what are you waiting for? It's time to get kidding around!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great week ahead!

Anything Goes for Stamps R Us

Welcome to 2012 and a new Stamps R Us challenge! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and you're ready for some stamping fun. The Stamps R Us challenge is being sponsored by the Stamping Boutique this week and the theme is to show us what you got for Christmas, and if you didn't get any stamping goodies, then anything goes! I'm using the picnic basket image which just puts me in the mood for warm weather. Winter just began here a week or so ago, but I can dream can't I? LOL I colored the image with Copics, and used Blossom dies for the image and mat. I used a lacy eyelet border die from SNSS and wove some PTI berry sorbet ribbon through it for interest, adding a separate bow to the bottom of the image panel. The dp is from the wild asparagus pad and I added some spica glitter pen accents to the flowers and heart on the tag, along with some white gel pen accents on the apple and grapes.
So now that the holidays are behind us, grab those new goodies and show us what you got with this challenge! As always, you'll have two weeks to upload your creation and there's always a generous prize from our sponsor. Be sure to check out the fabulous cards my fellow DT members have made by clicking right here.
Thanks for dropping by and have yourself a wonderful kick-off week to the new year!

Stamps R Us Angels Among Us!

Hello and welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge! This week our sponsor is A Day for Daisies, and our challenge is "angels." There are lots of cute angel images from the ADFD store, and I chose this "love angel" for my card. I colored the image with Copics and added some MS tinsel glitter to the wings for some sparkle.
For the background, I used this tutorial called the Herringbone. It was done with papers from the BoBunny Crush collection. I found this technique to be fun and relaxing to create, and it really makes for some unique looks. The sentiment is a free digi I downloaded recently, and I named the file with the site I got it from, but I'm unable to find a link for it, so if anyone knows who created this, please share it with me and I'll edit this post to give credit to the artist.
As always, our sponsor will be offering a generous prize package to a randomly drawn winner, so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by playing along! Please click here to see the rest of the DT's fabulous angel creations for some inspiration!
Have a fantastic week and thanks for stopping by!

An Embossing Challenge

Welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge where we're asking you to add embossing to your cards. This week 's challenge is sponsored by Sketching Stamper Digi Stamps where you'll find some lovely and unique digi images for your card making. I'm using the poinsettia image, and I colored it with Copics. I used Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, and Early Espresso cardstock. I embossed a piece of dp with a sizzix ef, and then did the sentiment with a Spellbinders fancy label and a SNSS sentiment. I added some baker's twine in a criss-cross pattern and added some crystals to the center of the poinsettia and the sentiment panel.
This angle shows the crystals a little better than the other photo.
I hope you'll get those embossing folders out and come play along with us, because our sponsor is offering a generous prize to a randomly drawn winner.
You can find all the details here, along with the other gorgeous creations by my fellow DT members.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

The white panel was embossed with a CB Swiss Dots ef, and I added some turquoise gemstones to "bling it up."
I hope you'll grab your bling and come play along with us. There will be a great prize for a randomly drawn participant, so be sure to join in the fun!

Stamps R Us - A Masculine Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge! This week our challenge is a "masculine theme" and our sponsor is Doodle Pantry, who provided the DT with images including this vintage auto. I colored the antique auto with Copics, and finished the card with BoBunny timepiece dp, along with early espresso and cherry cobbler card stock. I added 2 different coordinating baker's twines and a Spellbinders fancy tag for the sentiment. The inside reads "but the driver is antique." LOL A friend of mine already bought this card for someone who's turning 60 in November :)
If you want to play along with our challenge, you'll have 2 weeks to link your masculine creation right here, and as always, our sponsor will be offering a very generous prize to one randomly drawn lucky winner! A Gift of Nature

Happy Monday and welcome to another Stamps R Us Challenge. This week our challenge is being brought to you by Heart Song Designs and our theme is "Nature's Gifts." I'm using this pretty "Cardinal in a Tree" image for my card. I colored it with Copics, added a layered punched border, some BoBunny dp, a scrap of embossed white card stock, and a piece of ribbon with some black Kaiser pearls.
Here's another Heart Song Designs image, and this one is called "Acorn Wreath." Again, coloring was done with Copics, and I used Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles, cutting out the center portion to add the sentiment. A little embossing, a leaf brad, and a little ribbon finished this card.
I hope you'll find time to join us in this fun challenge. As always, you'll have two weeks to make your card, and there's always a generous prize for a randomly drawn winner, so good luck!

I'm using an image called "Happy Fall" and I colored it with Copics. I added some scoring to the really rust mat beneath the image, and added a border of glittered dp along the bottom. I added a bit of glitter to the pumpkins and flowers and the final touch was a copper leaf brad in the corner.

A Yummy Birthday Celebration

Welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge. This week we're celebrating birthdays in honor of Operation Write Home and the Paper Shelter is our sponsor. I'll be sending this birthday card to OWH for our military. If you decide to play along and send your card to OWH, please avoid using glitter, as glittered cards are unacceptable! You can get all the details by clicking the OWH link above.
I'm using this pre-colored Paper Shelter digi called "yummy" and if you've never tried using colored digis before, this is something you'll definitely want to try! The Paper Shelter has oodles of gorgeously colored digis that you'll love to work with & this card went together in no time! I sponged the image with angel pink ink while it was in the die, and matted it with Close to Cocoa card stock. I added a computer-generated sentiment and a big piece of ribbon and tied it up with a button and some brown hemp.
Please check out the Stamps R Us blog for more fabulous DT inspiration. As always, you'll have 2 weeks to complete your birthday card and there will be a generous prize for one randomly drawn participant.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a fun, creative day!

I'm using the Leslie-think image and she was colored with Copics. The dp's are from PTI and Recollections. I used a labels eighteen for the image and sponged around it with Tumbled Glass ink by Ranger. The sentiment was computer generated, and the punches used were by SU! and EK. The 3 dots are acrylic stickers.
I hope you'll join us for this "friendship" challenge because there's always a generous prize offered to the randomly drawn winner for playing along!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Anything Goes!

There's another challenge at the Stamps R Us blog and this time the challenge is "anything goes!" That makes it easy enough for all of us :) The last time I went to a stamp meet, I stamped a couple of these images for future use, but there was no name on the stamp, so I'm sorry but I don't know who makes it. I stamped it with Memento ink, colored it with Copics, added scraps of blue card stock and yellow checkered dp, and finished it off with some ribbon. The photo doesn't show it too well, but I added glossy accents to the boots, puddles and umbrella. If you click the photo to enlarge it, you might be able to see those details.
Come join us and enter your "anything goes" card and you too might just end up being a lucky winner!
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great day.......even if it is raining :)

Encore Presentation

The challenge over at the Stamps R Us blog this week is an encore presentation! That means we're using a favorite, older card we previously made and posted, and we're posting it again! The prize for this challenge is a guest designer spot on the Stamps R Us blog!
I originally posted this card in October 2009 and made it for my neighbor's birthday. She has a dachshund that she'd just rescued at the time, so I knew she'd like this image. She liked the card so much she framed it! Now doesn't that just make your day special when someone frames a card you made for them?! We had a precious dachshund for many years too, so this card also has a special place in our hearts as well.
If you need the supply details for this card, please check the original post here.
Be sure and check my other DT members Encore Presentation cards too by clicking here, or finding them on my sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by and we'll be looking for your encore presentations too!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge. This week our theme is "through the garden gate" and Heart Song Designs is our sponsor. I'm using the Blooming Stars digi image for my card today that was colored with Copics. I embossed a piece of ruby red dp with the square lattice ef, and added some turquoise card stock to mat the image. The vertical border was done with a MS arch lattice punch, and I added some bakers twine tied off inside of a button. The star blooms on the flowers have blue eyelets in the centers, and I added some pink liquid pearls to them for a little interest. The sentiment was computer generated and done with a word window punch and embellished with a mini butterfly. The final touch was adding stickles to the image butterflies.

The little girl on my card has grown up for this "New Hat" image and I could hardly wait to add some color. I used Copics and embossed some pink Bazzill card stock with the CB swiss dots ef. The sentiment panel was done with a Spellbinders ribbon tag die. The main image is layered on a labels 10 die cut and sponged with lavender lace ink. 1,2,3, it's Summer!

Happy Monday everybody! It's time for another Stamps R Us challenge and this week we have a recipe to follow. It's a 1.2.3. challenge, which is to use 1 image, 2 designer papers, and 3 embellishments.
This week our sponsor is Digital Delights by Louby Loo, and I'm using this adorable Bucket and Spade Peyton digi image. I printed him and colored him with Copics, adding 2 different Echo Park summer designer papers for the background. For the 3 embellishments, I added some magenta ric-rac, a piece of turquoise blue twill, and a little clip with a pair of flip-flops. The sentiment is the flip side of one of the designer papers. This image just makes me want to run to the beach and play in the sand again like I did when I was a kid :)
As always, if you play along with us, our sponsor will be offering a generous prize, so click on the link above, or on the Stamps R Us badge on my sidebar to link up your card. We'll be coming by to look at all of your 1.2.3 creations in the next two weeks, so have fun!

I love all the warm colors and falling leaves, so this image just sings to me! I colored the image with Copics and added some punched leaves done with a MS punch. I layered the image on a Spellbinders labels four and matted that on a top note die cut. The DP is by K&Co from the specialty collection by Tim Coffey.

The sentiment is from CTMH and was layered with some oval punches, and the borders were done with a SU fancy scalloped punch. I added some tiny hole punched cardstock on those borders and covered them with glossy accents and finally added a little knot with some SU turquoise grosgrain ribbon.
