Lawn Fawn Animal Antics for SSS

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge this week is "Animal Antics." I had to use this cute little Lawn Fawn snow bunny stamp to make my card, since SSS is featuring Lawn Fawn stamps. I just love this cute little guy, so I made a snow scene and added a snow sentiment (G Studio), adding a tiny heart in matching colors. The felt snowflakes have been in my stash forever along with the snowflake brad, and the paper is from Echo Park Winter Wishes. Just for fun I added a dab of liquid applique to this bunny's cute little tail :)

And while I'm working with Lawn Fawn stamps, I made another card that I'll enter into the CASology challenge #60 which is "Apple."

I used "My Silly Valentine" stamps from Lawn Fawn along with a scrap of dark green, and colored the apple with Copics. This will be going into a box of Valentines I'm making for the grandkids :)

Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by today :)

Pink & Black

Here's a card I made for the CASology #39 challenge where the cue card word is "travel." I paper pieced this A Muse art stamp called "doggie bag" with some pink striped dsp and used the SU! tag punches with a piece of matching ribbon. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and I thought this would be a fun card for OWH soldiers to send home to their families.

Lately, I've been loving pink & black together, and today's OWH Stars and Stamps midweek throwdown is to use our favorite color combination. My all-time favorite combo is purple & green, but I can't make every card with those colors, so I move on to new favorites all the time. Here's my current fav....

I won't even mention how long this card took to put together, but I made some good use of pink & black scraps! I used the SU! hexagon ef and hand-cut all those hexes and placed them into the embossed background. I don't know why, but I always enjoy doing intricate work like this. It's very time consuming, but I find it relaxing! I used some pretty in pink dsp, a SB labels 18 die with white pearl card stock, and a SB fancy tags 2 die cut for the sentiment panel. I used some pink polka dot ribbon along with pink twine and a Sweet'n Sassy sentiment.

I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippet Playground #67 since I used mostly scraps to put this together!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope you all have a fabulous day!

One for the Guys

While making this card earlier this week, I had some leftover components that I decided to use for this masculine birthday card. I used the sketch for Seize the Birthday #8, along with the CASology #33 challenge to use circles.

There's plenty of white space, although it's been darkened a bit with some grey chalk to look like tire tracks because guys seem to appreciate a little bit of dirt on their cards. It's more in tune to their lifestyle I think :) Anyway, I know just the person to be the recipient for this card, as he's a car enthusiast and loves having a garage full of tools.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! I might be back later today with something else, so stay tuned :)

stamps - SNSS Happy Birthdays
paper - turquoise, black, white, red
ink - versamark, versafine onyx black
accessories - SB kickin' rubber M-bossabilities, CB diamondplate ef, SB sprockets dies, gold ep, grey chalk

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here's the cue card word for this week's CASology week #31 challenge...

and here's my card - a Valentine I made for the hubster. He's definitely a no-frills, no mushy kind of guy, so I went with something "cute" using the Lawn Fawn "My Silly Valentine" stamp set. When he opened it this morning, he jokingly  said "so now I'm an apple eh?" LOL I colored the apples with glossy accents and hand cut them to place on the strips of dsp & red cardstock. I colored in 2 of the tiny hearts with a red Spica glitter pen just for fun. I made him a treat bag of Dove peanut butter candy to go along with the card. He's always been a Reese's fan, but I think he might like to step up to some above-average peanut-butter candy for a change :)

I'm also entering this into the February ODBD challenge over at the Stars and Stamps blog. Their challenge this month is "fruit."

It snowed overnight here in PA and it looks beautiful outside this morning! The snow was a very wet snow and is clinging to all the trees and shrubs and it looks beautiful! The sun is shining brightly, so before the day's over, it will all melt away.

Wishing you and yours a wonderful Valentine's day. I hope it's filled with love of the very best kind :) Thanks for stopping by!

Simon Says Get Your Game On!

Here is the cue card for the CASology #29 challenge. Game! What a perfect challenge for Super Bowl Sunday except I went in a completely different direction. {nothing new there!}

Some of you old-timers will remember this great game called "Simon Says." I hung onto the one we had when the kids were little, and it still works! LOL
I added a computer generated sentiment, and the inside says "CELEBRATE!" I thought this would make a fun birthday card for kids, and then I realized that kids today will probably not even know what this means, so I'll use it for a card for someone who gets it :)

So who are you rooting for today? I'm not much of a football fan, but my favorite color is purple, so I'm giving Baltimore my vote :) I only watch the commercials anyway so I'll be multi-tasking while the game is on.

Here's hoping you have a great time getting your game on too!

A Triple Challenge CAS Card

AAack! I'm posting another wonky photo taken with indoor lighting that's inadequate. Sorry folks, the sun just doesn't shine in PA anymore!

My card is for the following challenges:

CASology Week #27 - where the cue card is "Blue.

Shopping our Stash #85 - Suits me to a "T" (use 2 things on your card that begin with the letter "T." I used turquoise, twine, and a thank-you sentiment.

(PIN)spirational Challenge#40 to use the following photo for inspiration:

I dug into my unused stash and found this great CB border embossing folder. Sorry, I no longer know the name of the set it came from. I added some black rhinestones from Pizzazz Aplenty, along with some twine that was recycled from an order I received in the mail. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and was done in Versafine Onyx Black.

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you some bright sunshine - wherever you are! Send some my way, ok ? :)

Pink, Lots of Bling, & Winter

Hello, and a very happy Thursday to everyone. Here is my card for this week's CASology #26 challenge - "Winter." I made this snowflake/starburst by using SU! tag punches and a scrap of snowflake dsp. For the center I used a SB sprocket diecut with 2 MS snowflake punches on top, and then added a shiny silver snowflake sticker to the center. The sentiment by Hero Arts was done with Memento Paris Dusk ink. They're calling for more of the white stuff here in PA for later next week, so this warm spell we're having right now is just a teaser!

Here's a card for Oozak's challenge #10 - "anything goes with pink and bling." I used an OWH digi image and colored with Copics, adding some Pizzazz Aplenty ribbon, pink bling, and a teardrop shaped pearl falling from the pup's eye. The card base is kraft, the dsp is PTI and the sentiment was computer generated and layered with a hand-cut banner and a word window punch.

Since I used all this bling, I'm also entering this card over at the Moxie Fab World challenge where they're celebrating 75 Creative Card Challenges week. The #7 challenge is to use 10 or more embellishments. I think this card qualifies :)

Thanks for spending a little of your time with me here, and I wish you all a wonderful Thursday!

Star of Wonder and a Snowman

This card is for the CASology challenge #24 where the cue card word is "star." I used my favorite SNSS snowman image and popped him up on a Pacific Point blue background, and added a die cut star done with a MB Star of Wonder die. I don't think the front needs a sentiment, so I'll put one on the inside instead!

I hope everything's peachy in your world today - make it a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Gifts

This card is for the CASology challenge for week #23 which is "gift." I saw this  card on Pinterest and had to re-create my own version. I used an ef from the Sizzix Thank-you set 5 and added some wine colored & silver metallic card-stock. The "bows" on the presents were cut from the SU! lace ribbon punch (R) and the sentiment was done with cranberry ink using a G studio stamp. I added one silver pearl for an accent to finish this card. What I love most about this card is that it mails with no extra postage! Yay :)

Here's wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!

Cascading Snowflakes

The cue card for the CASology week #22 challenge is "Sparkle." I used snowflakes from several SU! sets done in shades of green and red, adding those little geo sparklers to the centers for some added interest. The sentiment is from SU! Contempo Christmas.

Here's another one I made having the snowflakes cascading from the top which looks more natural to me. This one is done in shades of blue & purple, with more geo sparklers added to the centers. If you click the photos, that sparkly detail will probably show up a little better.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by. It's always great to see you :)

Time & Tags

Here's my card for this week's CASology #21 challenge which is "time." I'm also entering this card into Oozak's "anything goes + red challenge." The stamps I used are from Hero Arts and Unity, and I added some Washi tape and a red gemstone to the center of the clock face. I also added some scoring  for a little interest. This will be going into my next OWH box and they'll be easy to make in duplicate.

This tag is for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC80 challenge to make a gift tag. I used a tiny pine branch stamp from the SU! Lovely as a Tree set, and stamped a few branches. The sentiment was masked from the CAS-ual Fridays Woot Woot set, and done in early espresso ink. I needed a couple masculine tags, so I added some green, brown, and natural twine along with a brass eyelet. The card base is very vanilla and the images were colored with Tombow markers before stamping.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great Sunday!

It's the Season for Being Thankful

The challenge at CASology for week #19 is "THANKS", while the OWH Stars & Stamps midweek throwdown is to make a "thank-you" card. Two challenges rolled into one card - snap!! (I love when that happens!)
I used this pretty image from the CAS-ual Friday Stamp set called "truth is" and colored it with Copics. I stamped the tiny sentiment with an Inkadinkado stamper and punched it with a SU! jewel tag and tied it on with silver cording and a snippet of matching ribbon. A few drops of stickles to the stamens and this card was done!

Thanks for stopping by, and I wish you a fabulous day!

Catching up with Challenges

Here's my card for this week's Merry Monday #40 sketch challenge. I used some cherry cobbler and a scrap of tan cardstock along with a Hero Arts sentiment. The background was done with the Sizzix Snowglobe ef and the sentiment panel was done with a SB labels eighteen die. Ribbon was from my LSS.

This card meets 3 challenges: The CASology week #18 which is "orange," The MFP Speedy Fox & Friends challenge #132 to use ric-rac, and the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge #5. I die cut some hearts using a SNSS die and drew the lines they're hanging on with a black marker, adhered the ric-rac, and stamped a sentiment from the MFP Thankful Mums and Pumpkins stamp set.

Lastly, I made this card for the OWH Stars and Stamps mid-week throwdown to create a card with red, white, & blue. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and the red panel was embossed with a HA/Sizzix zig-zag ef, while the navy panel was embossed with a CB decorative tiles ef. I added a little piercing around the sentiment panel, and added 2 star brads on the side.

I think I'm caught up on a few challenges now, so on to other things :) Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Friday!

You're so Sweet

The cue card for the CASology #17 is "sugar." I don't know why, but this challenge really threw me for a loop! LOL I had to put my thinking cap on for this one to come up with something, but I did.......

I found this retired candy stamp from SU! and used real red, along with some Spica red glitter pen accents. The sentiment was computer generated and the tiny scalloped border was done with an EK punch. A little twine finished this card and I finished the challenge before the deadline.....yay!

That's it for me today, but I should be back with more tomorrow. Now I'm going to turn my clocks back before I forget!

Double CAS Card

I'm playing along with this week's CAS(E) this sketch #3 ...

and this week's CASology #16 challenge.

And here's the card I made to meet both challenges. I used a SNSS wildflowers image and sentiment & added a punched border with a scrap of pink card stock. I placed a flower gemstone to the center of the flower. The stamp was colored with markers before stamping, and the circle was cut with a SB circle die. Quick & simple, and I guess this is about as "wild" as I get these days :)

Thanks for stopping by!

I Be"leaf" in You

Cocoa Mouse to the rescue :) I'm using the SNSS Fall Time Cocoa stamp set and sentiment for my card. Simply colored with Copics, matted with some really rust card stock, and stamped with really rust ink. I just love this little guy :)

Have yourself a wonderful weekend and take good care!

Just Keep Walkin'

The cue card for CASology week #12 is "shoe." I had no clue what to do for this challenge, until I was looking for another stamp and found this one...

This little House Mouse guy has some mighty big shoes on, so I made them even more visible by coloring them with bright neon Copic colors. The picture is a little toned down, but trust me - these shoes are hot pink! The grass was done with a SNSS die, and the sentiment is from a very old stamp set called "Just So Hoppy" by Melanie Muenchinger. The clouds were sponged with Ranger Tumbled Glass ink and a template I made.

I'm also entering this into the Shopping Our Stash #70 challenge which is "Fur or Feathers."

That will do it for me for this day, but as always - thanks for taking time to stop by and say "hello!" Enjoy your weekend :)

House Mouse Friendship & CASology "White"

The challenge for #HMFMC128 is "friendship." I thought this sweet little image was a perfect example of being a good friend :) I colored with Copics, adding glossy accents to the flower and creating clouds with Ranger tumbled glass ink. The sentiment is from SNSS and the dsp is from Echo Park. The corner was done with my Quickutz and embossed with the SU! square lattice ef. Ribbon was from my stash, and the sentiment was die cut with a SB ribbon tag.

Here is the cue card for this week's CASology challenge week #11.

This card might just be the quickest Christmas card I've ever made! I embossed the image with a Crafters-too "sleigh" folder, and embossed the sentiment with Holly Red ep and a retired SU! stamp. I rounded the corners and this card was done!
The first card I made for this challenge was all-white, but it didn't turn out too CAS, which is why I made a 2nd one. Here's that first card I made.......

It isn't CAS, but I love how easy it was to make with an embossing folder, a die cut flourish, a few pearls, some punched branches and a store-bought flower.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is fabulous!

CAS Snowflake

I combined 2 challenges to make this card today. I used the CASology Cue Card#10 with the word "sky" to inspire my card. I also used the CAS-ual Friday's CFC69 challenge to "emboss - wet or dry." The snowflake from CTMH was stamped with Versamark, then embossed with clear detail. I sponged Danube Blue, Summer Sky, and Lulu Lavender inks by Memento to add color. The sentiment was masked from a HM image by Stampendous in Danube blue, and I added lavender and silver gems & beads, along with a silver snowflake brad for the finishing touches. The die cut is by SB.

Thanks for stopping by today - I wish you a wonderful Wednesday!

Wooden It Be Nice and CASology

The Shopping our Stash challenge 67 is "Wooden it be nice" or in other words, to add some element of "wood" onto your card. There is a tree branch, a birdhouse, and some great painted wood dsp on my card for the challenge. I really shopped my stash for this one, using an extremely old SU! set called Definitely Decorative Branch for the tree and birdhouse. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, and the bird is from the SU! Live your Dream set, and it was the perfect size to perch on the birdhouse! The dsp is from the Bright Side Two by MME, and the border was done with a SU! scalloped border punch. Gems by Want2Scrap and sky sponging was done with some Ranger Tumbled Glass ink.

Here's my card for the CASology #9 and the cue card word is "family." I printed this adorable digi image designed by the fabulous artist Margaret Bucklew of DigiDitto. Hopefully if you click the photo you can see the detail of those ducklings a little better. I added a strip of Echo Park dsp, along with a sentiment from Melanie Muenchinger's Hip-Hop Accessories stamp set, adding some dots with a black marker. The final touch was some twine. I now have all my ducks in a row, and I'm calling them "family." :)

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish everyone a fabulous Thursday!
