Welcome to my blog and the month of March. Today I'm sharing another fantastic calendar page my friend Heidi sent me for Christmas. She started this blog with me way back when, but no longer has time for blogging. I'm glad she still finds time to make incredible things like this calendar! {{Hugs}} and thank you's Heidi! Aren't those boots on the cow hysterical?! LOL
I posted this card over on SCS yesterday. It's a combination of two challenges - the F4A106 to use blue flowers, and also for the QFTD102 -StampingQueenJar {Judy}. Here is her card that I cased. I used PTI Enchanted Evening and SU! Bashful Blue card stock, embossing with the SU! Petals A Plenty ef, and using the SU! Carte Postale stamp et. I used Nestabilities squares for the images, and just added 1/8" to the size and hand-cut the mats. The tag was done with a Cricut, and the sentiment is by SNSS, and ribbon is also Bashful Blue from SU!
While I had that stamp set out, I used a different flower image from it and made a 2nd card, using the same card stock colors, only adding some old olive in the mix. The stamps were colored with markers before stamping. This time I used SU! punches for the images and added some piercing. I still have these colors out on my desk, and I might make some more cards with them before I get tired of looking at them :)
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful weekend. Can you believe the clocks get turned ahead next weekend already? Time flies by so quickly anymore!!

Christmas and Hydrangeas
I posted these cards over on SCS today and forgot to post them on my blog! LOL I made this for the QFTD78 challenge, and this week it's Dianne/eured99. I used this card of Dianne's for inspiration to create mine. You can see that I added a lot more to my card than her simple one, but this usually happens when I make a card! I used the snow swirled stamp set from SU! and embossed everything with gold. I edged the white layers with a gold paint pen, and the rest is pretty easy to figure out.
The Friday Free4All over on SCS today was to make a card using "mostly blue." I used this gorgeous free digi I d/l from tidbitstrinkets and colored it with Copics. A piece of green dp and some not quite navy cardstock and a computer generated sentiment was all this card needed.
I caught a story on tv recently where Madonna made a rude remark about loathing hydrangeas after someone had just given her a bouquet of them, so I decided to make this card because I love hydrangeas! My grandfather used to grow them in his yard, and I marveled over his beautiful "giant blue snowballs" as I used to think they were! LOL I'll always have those fond memories of his gorgeous hydrangeas and I'd be beyond grateful if someone gave me a bouquet of them!! Really!!
Here's wishing you all a happy weekend :)

Two for Saturday
I posted a couple of cards on SCS yesterday but never got around to sharing them here. First up is the card I made for the QFTD74 to honor snowmanqueen/Carolyn. I used this SU! Bloomin Beautiful image, colored it with Copics and added some embossing done with a Sizzix ef, and a punched black panel done with en EK punch. The sentiment was done on a Spellbinders Fancy tag, but the ends got torn trying to remove it from the die, so I just trimmed it into an oval. The ribbon is by Offrey.
This is a sympathy card I made and posted for the F4A78 challenge to make embossing the focal point of the card. I used this SU! ef and adorned it with some punched flowers done with a Carl sakura punch. I added some Kaiser blush pearls and the sentiment is from MSE done with CTMH grey wool ink. Very easy to do but it has quite an appeal IMHO.I hope you're having a great weekend, and I'll be back soon with more :)

Kickin' Off the Month of July
I made this card for the SNS connection July release party challenge to use a "friendship" theme. It's also for the SCS F4A71, which is to select a theme from the Fun & Funky July Holidays. I chose the creative ice cream flavors day theme for my card. The SNSS Cocoa's Sundae digi image was colored with Copics and embellished with some glossy accents and snow-writer glitter on the ice cream toppings. I used Echo Park dp, a MS goo punch, and some variations of ric-rac and bling from my stash. The sentiment was computer generated. It kinda makes me hungry for some ice cream now, but I don't do bananas, so someone else can share this sundae with Cocoa :)I hope you're enjoying a fun kick-off to the month of July. Make it a great Friday!

Texturize Me!
The F4A47 challenge over on SCS today is to add texture by using 2 or more embossing folders, particularly one you rarely use. I don't know the name of the Cuttlebug folder for the flowers, but for the bottom of the card I used the SU! square lattice folder. I pulled scraps of lavender and green from my stash for this one. I inked up the floral ef with Memento Lulu Lavender ink and ran it through the Big Kick to give it a hint of color. The faux brads on the flower were made with punched cardstock and dotted with Glossy Accents. Ribbon from my stash along with 2 MS punched butterflies, a corner punch and some bling, and this card was done! The embossed and partially foiled dp is from a beautiful paper pad called Floral Dreams by K&Co........a gift from Heidi. (thanks g/f)That's it for me today..........I hope your Friday is fantastic!
