For My Tweetheart

I made this card a while ago, but I don't think I ever posted it for some reason. I used a digi image from Deedee's Digis (which is now closed) and colored it with Copics, adding some liquid applique to the fur on the hat. I die-cut the panels with Lil Inker stitched rectangles, adding some punched red hearts along both sides. The sentiment is from the same digital stamp set as the bird and I added some piercing along the edges to match the other panels.

With Valentine's day just around the corner, I figured I'd better finally get this one posted!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Valentines for Kids

I have a couple Valentines for kids today, made with Deedee's digis images and sentiments. I found a very old piece of seam binding in my sewing basket that had little hearts on it, so I decided to use it on some cards. The image was a pre-colored digi and all I did was add the sentiment, a little brad, and a punched MS hearts border. This one was done in red and dark brown for a girl.......

while this one was done in dark brown and baby blue for a boy. Deedee's Digis store is now closed, so this image is sadly no longer available.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day today!

Another Stocking Pal Card

Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the Tuesday Throwdown #TT274 which is "anything goes" this week. I'm using another of Deedee's stocking pals pre-colored images for my card, along with some red and green cardstock. I die cut the 3 panels with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and added a sentiment from the stamp set, and this card was done!

Time is running out to pick up any of Deedee's Digis fun digital stamp sets, because she's closing her shop at the end of December. Everything is reduced by 75% until the store closes, so if you're in the market for some serious bargains and cute digital images, run over to the store now and you'll be glad you did!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Tuesday!

Christmas Kitty

Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge #259 this week, and as always - it's anything goes as long as it's Christmas.
I'm using one of Deedee's cute pre-colored Stocking Pals for my card, which I die-cut with my Big Shot and Lil Inker stitched rectangles in green, red, and white. I staggered the panels, adding a die-cut candy cane with some twine and a sentiment from the stamp set. Please check Deedee's blog for my DT members creations too!
Deedee's digis is closing at the end of December, and the entire store is on sale, so if you want some cute images like this to make your card-making a snap, go over there now and buy them while you still can! This card took minutes to put together and the price is insanely reasonable - really!

I'm also sharing this card over at the Cuttlebug Mania challenge - which is to make a project with Christmas animals.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Birdie's Snow Day

Here's another one of Deedee's Digis called "Birdie's Snow Day." Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends this week where the challenge is anything goes, and I've used one of her brand new new images to play along. I printed the pre-colored image along with the paper and sentiment that both come with the stamp set. I added some diamond stickles, a Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake with a mini brad, and some pretty ribbon tied in a knot just for fun.

Please remember that Deedee's digis is closing the doors at the end of December, so if there are any of her cute digi stamps you need to have, go snag them at 75% off while they're still available!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Sunday!

Cardinals in the Window

(my card uses Deedee's Digis Christmas Cardinal digital stamp set)

Happy December!
It's a brand new month, and what better way to celebrate then with a blog hop? This month Deedee's Digis is proudly sponsoring the quarterly blog hop at the House of Cards Challenge blog, where all of their hop creations are centered around the following inspiration photo...

If you participate in the House of Cards Challenge blog hop, you could win one of several prizes from a variety of sponsors, but Deedee's Digis is also having it's own blog hop in tandem with theirs!

Some of Deedee's Digis DT members have made cards based on this inspiration photo, and if you're inspired to play along and do the hop, you could win some fantastic prizes! You have until 11:55 PM Pacific Time this Saturday, December 5th to visit our participating designer's blogs and leave some love. At the end of our hop, a winner will be chosen from the comments left on each participating DT member's blog, and each winner will receive one digi set of their choice from Deedee's store. All winners will be announced on Deedee's Digis blog on Monday, December 7th.

When you've finished visiting each DT member's blog, be sure and stop back at Deedee's Digi's blog and leave a comment telling her you've completed the hop. Those who do will be entered to win a grand prize of a $15 gift code to the store.

Last but not least, no Deedee's Digis blog hop would be complete without a FREEBIE to kick it off. The new "Gift of Love" digi set is available to download for FREE in the "Try Before you Buy" area of the shop through December 6th.

Here are the participating designer's blogs to start the hop! Have fun!

On a real sad note, Deedee announced that she is closing her store at the end of this month. You can read all of the details HERE.

Winter Church

Today's card is for the Crafting By Designs challenge which is "Getting Ready for Christmas." Deedee's digis is sponsoring this challenge, so I've used her great digital stamp set called "Winter Church." I've printed out the image and colored it with Copics, adding glitter to the snow. I also printed the sentiment in one corner so I could use the 2 different designer paper designs that come with the stamp set. I printed each one, and then die cut them with MFT Horizontal stitched panel dies, and added a piece of green satin ribbon to finish this card.

I'm also sharing this card over at the November Rudolph Days challenge - which is always a Christmas theme.

There are just a few more days left to play along with our Digi of the Month challenge over at Deedee's digis blog. In order to receive the December free digi, you must play along with November's challenge, so you still have a little time left to join us.

There's also a year-end sale going on over at Deedee's digis store. Every digital image in the store is 75% off, so if there's anything you must have, go grab some great digital images now!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Polar Peace

Today I have a card using Deedees Digis pre-colored stamp set called Polar Peace. This is the featured stamp set for November, and you can pick it up for a very low price until the challenge is over on Sunday, November 29th. If you played along with us last month, you already received this, but if you missed it, you can find all the details here.

I used cardstock in coordinating colors with the digital image, and used MFT horizontal stitched dies to cut them. I matted both the image and sentiment with matching cardstock and added some yellow stickles glitter glue to the stars in the sky for a little sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to play along with us this month, so you can score a free digital stamp set for December! All of the details are here.

Monochromatic Vintage Media

My card was made for the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #252 which is "monochromatic." Deedee's digis is sponsoring this challenge, so I've used her Vintage Media digital stamp set in the pre-colored version. I added a snippet of dsp from my stash that coordinated with the colors and added glossy accents to the telephone just for fun. The sentiment is from the same set, and I definitely remember phones like this - I had one exactly like it hanging on my kitchen wall and I'd give anything to have one of them again! These phones actually worked - unlike the wireless phones we're forced to use today.

Deedee's digis has a new November monthly challenge where you can earn free digi stamps just by playing along. If you didn't play along last month and missed receiving the November digi, you can get it for a ridiculously reduced price, but only as long as the November challenge is ongoing. Get all the details HERE!

Thanks for checking in today, and have yourself a fabulous crafty day!

Raggedy Fall

Today I have a card for the Robyn's Fetish Challenge #286 which is being sponsored by Deedee's Digis. The challenge is to use 2 or more pumpkins, and since there's already one in the image, I made a 2nd one using an oval punch and some orange cardstock. I used the Raggedy Fall pre-colored image from Deedee's digis, and die cut the squares with SB square and scalloped dies. The ribbon is SU! elegant eggplant and the paper was from my bin of snippets. I also die-cut the sentiment in small scale to coordinate with the image.

Deedee's Digis October progressive challenge is ongoing, and you still have time to play along and win free digi stamps. You can find all the details right here.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you're doing.

Pumpkin Patch

There's an ongoing challenge for October over at Deedee's Digis blog, and I've used an image and sentiment from the featured stamp set this month called "Pumpkin Patch." I used one of the pre-colored images and made a very simple design. I used some Pear Pizzazz green cardstock for the background, adding a piece of black & white polka dot dsp and some orange and white gingham ribbon. The background was embossed with a Darice ef that has beautiful leaves for autumn. If you play along with us, you'll earn a free digi stamp set for November. If you didn't play along last month to receive this fun autumn digital set, you can snag it for a reduced price until this challenge closes. You can find all the details right here.

Yesterday was World Cardmaking Day and Deedee's Digis kicked off the celebration with a 2-week Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge that runs until October 16th. Playing along can net you some brand new Deedee's Digis Pocket Pals digis that are beyond cute! Click HERE for all of the details and Bingo Grid so you can join in on all the fun.

Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you a great Autumn weekend!

My Hamster ate my Homework!

May card today is for the Creative Moments challenge #77 which has the theme of "back to school/Kids rule. Deedee's digis is sponsoring the challenge, and I've used one of her new digi stamp sets called "Homework Helpers." I just love the chipmunk chewing away on the scrap of homework with that funny sentiment! I added a punched star on a piece of distressed cardstock, and attached it with a purple paper clip. The torn piece of water colored paper was done with a retired SU! spiral punch and I also added a little plastic clip to the image panel with a schoolbus image on it. I added some assorted brads, twine and a colorful collection of Recollections polka dot dsp.

I'm also sharing this over at the Tuesday Throwdown #262 to make a card "for a child."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a great one!

Kickin' Up Your Heels for Autumn

Deedee's digis is sponsoring the Crafter's Cafe Challenge #133 this week with a "create a sky scene" theme. I guess you could say this is a one-of-a-kind sky, because I've added some specks of dirt along with some candy corn in celebration of Autumn being just around the corner. You won't too often find either of those items in any sky scene that I'm aware of, but hey! I'm strange! LOL The image is a new one from Deedee's digis called "Fall Kick Off" and it was pre-colored, so all I did was print it out and add a few extras. The lower sentiment panel is from another of Deedee's sets called "Fall Warm Up." Since Autumn is the yummiest time of the year, I thought I'd toss in a few pieces of candy corn, so I just glued 3 strips of the right colors together and fussy-cut a few candy corn pieces to scatter about. The grass was done with 2 different grass dies from SNSS and the twine was in my stash. The dsp was a snippet from my stash, but I'm sorry I don't know who makes it.

I'm also going to share this over at Pixie's Snippets Playground #194.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to come play along with Deedee's September progressive challenge to win a free digital stamp set in October! Details can be found here.

Have a fantastic day everyone!

You're Never Too Old to Play with Cars

Today I have a masculine card with some classic cars. I used a digital pre-colored image from Deedee's digis called "Classics." I printed one larger image, and then created a border of the other pre-colored images in a smaller size. I added some dsp that has a road map along with a punched border done with an EK bricked punch. After adding some assorted colored and silver brads and green cardstock mats, I called this one done.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Cardz4Guyz #87 - use 3 of something (I have 3 full car images)

Little Red Wagon #306 - Digi Doo (use a digital image)

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you're doing.

Playtime!

Today I have a card using another image from Deedee's Digis "Go Wild" set. I used a pre-colored giraffe image, and added some sponged clouds and grass with Copics. I embossed the background with an older Cuttlebug ef (I forget the name) on some rust-colored cardstock, and then smeared the whole panel with Versamark ink and clear embossed it afterward for a leathery look to match the giraffe. I tied a piece of rust-colored ribbon to the corner as well as the sentiment panel. As long as it's playtime, why not add a fun frog brad to finish this off?

I'm sharing this over at the Crafty Gals Corner #35 where Deedee's Digis is sponsoring their "embossing" challenge.

I wanted to give you a little reminder to come play along with us at Deedee's September progressive challenge. You can find details for playing along right here.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Falling Leaves

Deedee's Digis September challenge has begun, and if you played along with us last month, you've already earned this cute stamp set called "Leaf Your Cares Behind." If you didn't join us last month, you can still get this for a reduced price during the month of September. All the details are here.

I used the pre-colored image but decided to add a little extra coloring of my own. I painted her toenails with a Spica orange glitter pen just because I could :) All of the falling leaves were done with an EK border punch and tiny snippets of cardstock in Autumn colors. The background was done with 3 panels of Autumn paper and cardstock. The one on the left is actually the cover of an Autumn paper pad, while the orange panel was embossed with a Darice Autumn leaves ef, and the one on the right was from a Tim Coffey Autumn paper pad.

We hope you can find time to play along with us and get some Autumn cards made at the same time!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Going Wild on Skates :)

Today I have a fun card using Deedee's Digis Go Wild digital stamp set. Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the Outlawz Greeting challenge which is "anything goes with a sentiment." I love this zebra image on roller skates! Ha! The sentiment just adds to the fun for me!  I used some red polka dot dsp, along with a strip of animal print that matches the zebra, and added a piece of red & white polka dot ribbon to finish everything off.

Don't forget about Deedee's progressive challenge which will earn you a free digital stamp set if you play along each month!  I hope you snagged your free basket digi already, but if you didn't, it's still available! You can find the details HERE on Deedee's blog. The new September challenge begins today!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your week is starting off with a smile :)

Got Cookies?

Today I have a card for the Crafting By Designs challenge which is to use 3 or more layers. Since Deedee's digis is sponsoring this challenge I used an image from Deedee's digis "sweet treats" digital stamp set for my card, choosing the line version and coloring it with Copics. I used a pale pink card base, adding chocolate cardstock, a swirled snippet of dsp, and a polka dotted piece of dsp done with a fancy scalloped border punch. I added some pink and brown polka dotted ribbon and cut the sentiment into separate words. For the final touch, I added some Kaiser pastel pink pearls.

Deedee's August progressive free-for-all challenge is celebrating it's birthday this month with a free digi, so check the details HERE and come play along!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great week ahead!

A Basket Filled with Summer Wishes

Today kicks off the August Digi Challenge of the month over at Deedee's digis blog. She has a brand new set called Seasonal Baskets which you can buy for a reduced price for the month of August - or - if you played along last month, you've already received this image for free! PLUS, Deedee's Digis is celebrating it's third birthday this month by offering a free download of one image from this set right HERE on the blog! You may choose the colored version as well as one you can color yourself, so there's no excuse not to come and play along!!

I used a pre-colored image from the set with a summer theme, and used some red, white and blue colors with a snippet of some red and white checkered dsp that reminded me of a summer picnic tablecloth. I die cut all the panels with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die set, and added a plastic clip to the top with a smiley sunshine face just for fun. I also added some Spica glitter pen accents to some of the elements in the basket just to make them a little darker.

Since I used a couple snippets on my card, I'll be sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #188 too.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great week!

You're a Classic!

Deedee's Digis has a lot of fun and useful digital stamp sets, and here's a card I made from a set called "Classic." I thought this would make a great birthday card for a car enthusiast, or perhaps someone who has restored an old truck. The set also includes this sentiment along with some older classic car images too! I simply added colorful banners to a black cardbase, and added the pre-colored digital image along with some silver Candi Dots and this card was done!

Deedee's July progressive challenge is still in full swing, and if you play along with us, you'll earn a free digital stamp set in August! Check here for the details, you'll be glad you did :)

Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
