Alfie

Here's a valentine I made with a favorite stamp from my collection. This is Alfie, a stamp from Unity that I've treasured for years! I stamped the image with light grey ink, then colored him with Copics, adding a few darkened highlights with a marker pen. I used a MFT stitched circle die along with a Spellbinders scalloped circle die in darker blue to place Alfie on. I used some T.E. cloud stencils to create the sky along with Tumbled Glass distress ink; then added the Inky Antics (1999) sentiment. I finished the card with a few tiny glittered heart stickers I've had for ages!
This might be my favorite Valentine I've made this year so far.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

Happy Mother's Day

Wishing all the moms out there a very happy day as we celebrate the moms in our lives on this day set aside to honor them.
I have a card made with a very old Inkadinkado stamp set. I die-cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock with a MFT stitched horizontal die and stamped the mother's day sentiment with Versamark ink, then heat-embossed it with white ep. Behind it is a doily a friend sent me a long time ago that I inked with some spun sugar ink, then placed some Darice die-cut daisies on top. I die cut the flowers from green, Berry Burst, and bits of yellow , placing the flowers on top and adding some yellow for the centers. I added 3 black sequins and called this one done.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

The Flower Challenge #56 - use your favorite flower

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a special one!

Christmas in July

It's been so hot I decided to start working on Christmas cards to cool myself off!
I dug through my stash and found this snippet of designer paper that had some pretty ornaments on it, so I built my card around it. I gave it 2 scalloped borders of red and green done with a (r) SU! Scalloped border punch. The background was done with a (r) SU! Snowburst ef, and the silver foil doily is also by SU!. The little tag was done with a stamp from the SU! Merry Everything set, heat-embossed with silver ep on white and cut with a matching (r) SU! punch; then popped up on foam dots. I added a twine bow, and 3 little gemstones and placed it all on a real red card base. The ornament on the top right is a dark green color, which is why I added green embellishments. I had to turn the card sideways to avoid the glare from the silver foil, so the colors aren't showing up as true to life. The tiny polka dots in the snippet background are also green, so it all works together with good lighting.

so I'll be linking my card there.

I'm also entering it here...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Wednesday!
