Warm Friendship

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by!
Today I have a card I made by following a sketch challenge, but I failed to read the directions that specifically called for hearts or flowers. 😕
Oh well, it's a card made for winter and we are supposed to get a little snow overnight, so a warm cup of cocoa is always good on a cold night.
I started with an embossed background done with a SU! softly fallen ef. I die-cut a Spellbinders medallion from a snippet of SU!'s soft sky dsp and placed the mug on top of that. The mug, large snowflake, and marshmallows were all cut with the Penny Black "What's in your cup?" die set. The tiny white snowflake was a snippet from my stash, as well as the SNSS sentiment panel that was cut with a set of SNSS ticket punch dies. I added some white Nuvo drops on the side, but they turned out clear instead of white, so my Nuvo drops might be going bad from sitting around being unloved?

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

The Snippets Playground #395 - use your snippets

also the January Penny Black Saturday Challenge - a/g or use something new

Wishing you all a great week ahead and please take care of one another!

Carol

Such fun sentiment to match the hot cocoa cup and marshmallows! :D Just perfect! Love the design of your card and such a shame that the prompt called for hearts or flowers! But perhaps snowflakes seems winter flowers? :D
It's so strange that your White Nuvo become clear, but they look good as well!

This card is perfect for tonight! Snow has already started here, just got started. Saw some flakes coming down when I let Maverick out to potty. Your card is perfect for a cold wintery snowy night. So is a cup of hot chocolate which I will have in a bit! I love the sentiment as it is perfect and your little snowy background is perfect. Who doesn't love a good cup of hot chocolate?! Keep warm, stay in and stay safe my friend, supposed to get icy before turning to rain. Hugs, Brenda

A super card Carol, I could do with a lovely cup of cocoa, it's wet, cold and miserable here - a shame your card didn't fit the challenge.

Oh now this is ADORABLE!! I just LOVE those marshmallows floating on top. Such a pretty color combo to. Isn't it so much fun just playing with dies to make cards?? Seems like that's a rut I've been stuck in the past few months.
