Peace on Earth

I pulled out my SU! Perfect Pines Framelits and decided to make a snowy Christmas scene with them. I die-cut  3 trees, then die-cut some hills with Lawn Fawn stitched hillside dies and used a piece of Soft Sky dsp for the sky/background. I dotted the trees with Nuvo Aqua dots, and added 3 glitter red stars cut with a SSS star border punch. The sentiment was stamped with grey ink for a softer look. Now that I see this photo enlarged, I need to trim a little thread of paper on that tree to the right! Oops!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Our snow turned out to be rain yesterday, but I hear more of the white stuff is on the way this weekend. Stay warm everyone, and thanks for the visit! Take good care of one another!

Such a pretty card, Carol! I think yesterday's snow & ice inspired this one because that is how it looked around here, too! While I am not a fan of winter I always love seeing a beautiful winter scene on cards! I love those snowy trees & hills and the little stars you added! A wonderful holiday card! Well done, my friend! :)

Why does that happen... we sit working on a card, staring at it and as soon as we upload for all to see things just become glaringly obvious. To be honest, I wouldn't have noticed had you not said. I love the big trees complete with decorations with the pop of red from the stars. It's a lovely stylised card x

As Claire said, I wouldn't have noticed about the thread if you not said... I searched it on all the tree and finally I saw it... ahaha!! :D
However, it always happens also to me: I see blobs, gaps, glue and any type of imperfections only when I publish my works! :D
Love the texture on the trees and the cute stars, it's a sweet and peaceful card!
Big hugs!

This is so pretty Carol!! Love all the sparkle you added. We had a bit of snow/sleet here just enough to make things look pretty. At least when you can just sit at home and look out at it! Ha ha Sounds like maybe it will be more this weekend?!

This is a very pretty Christmas card. I like how the Nuvo drops match the patterned paper. It is an elegant look. I am back from an extended blogging break. I hope you are very well.

This is beautiful!! I love the patterned paper! The white trees really pop against it and the red glitter stars add just enough contrast! Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.

What a fun Christmas card. I like all the dots you added to the trees and the designer paper in the background is wonderful. Thanks for sharing this over at The House That Stamps Built.

Such a beautiful and serene Christmas card Carol! I love the mostly white card with just a touch of color with the sky, star and aqua dots on the trees. I don't see anything that needs trimming though. Hugs, Brenda

You have created such a pretty scene but one with a definitely modern twist. The trees and snow look great cut from the white. I also think it was a grand idea to emboss the trees.

Thanks for taking part in the first Rudolph Days Challenge of this year.
