Today my husband and I are celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary. WOW, where did all those years go so quickly? Neither of us can quite grasp the fact that we've been together for 51 years! Anyway, this is the card I made for him. I heat-embossed the PB "birches" image on some PTI Soft Stone card stock using brown ep. I added some color to the trees with Tombow markers, and hand-drew the year 1968 within the heart on the tree. I matted with some Early Espresso card stock, and heat-embossed the SNSS sentiment with white ep. For the final touch I added a couple little birds to add some color to this card. In my mind, I'm thinking I added them to indicate two love birds, but my husband hates mushy stuff, so I kept this pretty much plain LOL
I'm sharing this with the December Penny Black Saturday challenge -anything goes with an option to add sparkle and shine
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great start to the weekend!

Hi Carol, Happy Happy Anniversary to you and Butch!! :D BIG CONGRATS for 51 years together, WOW!!! Adorable card for him and that heart on the tree with the hand-draw 1968 is ADORABLE and so clever!!! The cute red cardinals are just perfect to represent love, without being too much mushy!! :D Love how you coloured the birch trees and the big black stripe with the white sentiment! It's really a perfect masculine anniversary card! Well done!
Big hugs and enjoy your days together!!! :)

Congratulations to you and Butch, Carol! Your anniversary card for him is a perfect manly card, even with the two sweet birds, which I'm sure he didn't mind! It truly is amazing how the years have flown by and, yet, in many ways it still feels like yesterday! Happy Anniversary and Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell
Whoop, whoop way to go you two... that's amazing and HUGE congratulations on your 51 years together. I love your Anniversary card, the details are just as darling as the two cardinals representing you both. The finishing touch for me is the year added into the heart making your card so super sweet yet still beautifully subtle x

Happy Anniversary, Carol & Butch!! 51 years is quite the accomplishment and one you should be so proud of! I really love this beautiful card and all the personal things you added to it. The cardinals stand out so nicely! While this card is not mushy in any way, it's perfect for your hubby! I was just thinking....I was 2 years old when you got married! LOL Congratulations!!!
Happy Anniversary! Your card is so sweet with the date written in the heart! That is a sweet touch. Enjoy your celebrations!
Fifty one years sounds like such a long time and it goes by in a flash. Congratulations to you both and I wish you many, many more happy years together. The card you made is perfect for someone who doesn't like mush. I had two cardinals in my tree this morning and they are so beautiful Your trees look so authentic, great job, Carol.
Wow Congratulations on 51 years and staying in love for so long! That is fantastic and a great milestone to celebrate for sure! :) Your card is gorgeous especially love that little heart carving in the tree there! Really cool that you've personalized it as well! The cardinals are a perfect addition as to not add too much "mushy" in there! LOL!! Thanks for sharing! HUGS
Sorry I missed your anniversary.... I kept thinking and thinking what I forgot.. DUH! Happy 51 to you and Butch! Beautiful card.
Happy "Belated" Anniversary to you. I failed terribly with anniversary cards this year. I missed all three Annivery events in December that I needed to make a card for...I guess Christmas cards kind of get in the way.
Hope this next year is one of your best years yet! Happy New Year to you and Butch!
