Here's hoping nobody is feeling like this poor pooch after too much celebrating their day off yesterday! LOL Welcome to Tuesday, and another Tuesday Morning Sketch challenge. This week we're working on sketch #469 and this one took me quite a while to come up with something, I must admit. It's the embellishment on the left side that I didn't have a clue what to do with, so I just used some twine. It kind of reminds me of the ups and downs of not feeling well! LOL
The image is from an older 2011 SU! set called Wellness Wishes that I don't often use, and I layered it with black and Wasabi green cardstock, die-cutting with stitched squares. The dsp was a random snippet from my overflowing box, as was the black & white polka dot border strip that was done with a SU! scalloped border punch. The white scalloped border was done with a SNSS scalloped border die, and the black Nuvo drops were the finishing touch for this get-well card.
I hope you'll find time to play along with us this week, but before you do, be sure and check out my DT members creations for some great inspiration. You can find them all HERE.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
Carol

The stitched squares framed out that poor sick pup perfectly. Yes, that squiggle would sure take lots of thought, but you nailed it with the twine. Keep cool!
Poor doggie, he really has a bad time! :) The stitched frames are great to make the image pop and the twine loop looks well too, as well the borders!
This sketch is fun and my mind is just jumping here and there to "see" something.... hope having time to play in, school is started, for me!
Hugs
Super cute card for a not so cute occasion! You nailed the twine thingy on the left side and I love the scalloped panels! I'm sure this is how Ryan's been feeling these last few weeks! Love your stitched squares and the patterned paper. Well done, Carol! TFS and stay cool today! I sure hope this disgusting weather soon gets out of here....
Love the cute image,just gorgeous.xxx
Cute card, love the image. Thanks for playing along with Retro Rubber!
Well I think I can relate to your poor sickly pup here! LOL!! Feeling the pressures of a Monday on a Tuesday!! :)
You've done a wonderful job with the sketch and I love that fun background and colors for your card too!! Thanks for sharing! HUGS
I like the layered scalloped strip you've created. It helps to focus us on the main image and is just plain pretty! Thank you for joining us at Retro Rubber Challenge.
So many I think can relate to that little pooch as since school got started it seems the colds and flu are running rampart again with kids. The kids get it and then soon the parents have it too. They would really see where this little dog is representing exactly how they feel. Great design.
I can see why it took you some thinking on this sketch Carol, I wouldn't have know what to do with that doodad on the left either. lol Although I think you would have did anything really. I love how cute this card is, that little pup is feeling ruff! Love the papers you used and your boarders! Well done with this sketch! Hugs, Brenda
Oh dear that's one poorly doggy. I love the green and black colour combo, it works a treat. Good job on the sketch, that squiggle is tricky and using the twine makes me think of dog leads hanging :) x
Poor sick poochie! Cute card though. I admit that squiggled bit would have stumped me too.
This sketch would have had me stumped with the left side too, but then once I saw your clever take on it...well, it's obvious! (To you anyway!) That's a very creative way to use the baker's twine and combined with the colors of the border treatment, looks terrific. I love the background paper, and the little black pearls tucked in with the pattern paper design. But this little puppy just made me want to give him a big cuddle...This would make a person who's not feeling tip-top feel better just to see this one. Well DONE! TFS & Hugs
Super cute card, of course have to say I love it with the doggie and the twine added looks brilliant.x
A super card Carol, such a cute little dog.

Great take on the twine/ups & downs Carol! I love the colors this would definitely help someone feel better - and at least understood!
This is really cute! That sick pup is adorable!
Cute card! Love all the stitched squares. I want to try and get to this sketch this weekend. Thinking I might even have some metal accents pieces in my stash somewhere that might fit the sketch?!
What a fun get well card! Thanks for playing with us at Retro Rubber for anything goes!
That poor little guy! I feel so sorry for that little guy. It’s a fantastic card and will make anyone who is under the weather feel bettter.
