Christmas Angel

Today I have a simple Christmas card but the picture shows a green angel, when IRL she's pastel yellow! I just couldn't get the color correct, so I'm posting anyway. I die cut the Gina Marie Designs angel in vanilla cardstock and yellow vellum, inlaying the vellum into the vanilla. I placed her on a SU! glittered gold oval cut with a Gina Marie Designs stitched oval die. I took a 4x5-1/4" piece of vanilla, and die cut the opening with another Gina Marie Designs scalloped die - which cuts an opening and leaves a scalloped edge. The stitched oval fits perfectly inside that opening, but I popped it up on foam tape so you could see a hint of the red card base around the edges. The sentiment is a die-cut by Die-Versions.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

MLCCB #2 September Merry Little Anything Christmas Goes Challenge

CHNC Christmas challenge #401 - A/G with option of including an angel

Here's wishing everyone who celebrates Labor Day a great Monday!
Thanks for stopping by!

I always have problems too with my camera.... Colours and shapes seem not as those IRL... :( Anyway, your card is just fabulous, so elegant with that vellum angel and the sparkling oval with the red "shade"! A clean but very impressive design!
Hugs!

I like the "green" angel! I can never seem to get my colors right when I take pics. I keep telling myself that someday I'll take lessons on how to use my camera....(sure I will...I'm a dreamer!)

Some colors are just hard to get to look true, like dark brown or navy blue can look black. Drives us crazy but it happens all the time. I'm Wowed by this card my friend! I'm sure the angel is just beautiful in yellow, but even the "green" look is stunning. I've got to get this angel as she is the prettiest I've even seen. I love how you layered her on the glitter oval and I love that red oval as well as the embossed stitched oval. Just stunning. Love the sentiment as well. Hugs, Brenda

Green or yellow, she is gorgeous, Carol! The oval platform is a perfect base for your pretty vellum angel and I love the red script font and red base, too!! Hugs, Darnell

Great job on the angel's inlay and it did sort of look a bit on the yellow side..but I see what you mean about it looking green. One has to look a bit, and it's yellow (on my monitor anyway!) Looks very pretty atop the gold glittered oval and I like how you've made it dimensonal with the white stitched scallop and the bit of red peeking out from under the gold. A real pretty card, Carol. TFS & Hugs
