Twin Owls

I pulled out my SU! owl punch and had a play with it recently, making this birthday card for my stash. It started with a water-colored background piece of cardstock that was embossed with a Sizzix folder. I used several different distress inks and finished it with a few Copic highlights. The owls and branches were done with snippets, and the upper tree branch was done with a MB Woodland branch die and some soft suede cardstock, where I added some punched leaves for greenery. The stamped sentiment from SNSS was heat-embossed with white ep on black and it's all on a pumpkin pie card base.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Make Your Mark

Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the Addicted to Stamps #147 challenge this week, which is "make your mark" - use markers.

I chose this adorable line image from Deedee's digis called "Daniel's Sweetheart" and colored it with my Copic markers. I matted it with some black and orange, using a SU! punch for the scalloped border, and placed it on a piece of yellow dsp with a black mat beneath that. The sentiment is also from the same digital stamp set, and was matted with black. I added a piece of 1/4" satin ribbon for the final touch.

Here's a little reminder that Deedee's Digis monthly progressive challenge for June is into full swing, and you can earn free digi stamps by playing along. Check all the details here.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're having a great Wednesday!

Birthday News

Today I'm sharing a fun birthday card I made for someone who fosters rescue dogs. I used a Stampendous newspaper pup image, and colored it with Copics. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug birthday ef, and I added some fun word clips along with a snippet of gingham ribbon. The sentiment was computer generated and the card base is royal blue.

I'm sharing this over at the Addicted to Stamps and More #136 which is anything goes.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a day filled with warm sunshine!

Celebrate CAS Style

Here's something you don't see too often from me - a CAS card! My friend Mary Anne stopped by recently and brought along her new MFT dies, so I cut a few of these in different colors. The "celebrate" was done with Pacific Point cardstock and I added an embossed panel to the bottom half. For the final touch, I added a silver sticker border and this card was done in minutes!

This card is going into the following challenges...

Addicted to CAS #43 - "celebrate"

Addicted to Stamps #104 - "CAS"

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find a reason to celebrate something today!
