Celebrate CAS Style
Here's something you don't see too often from me - a CAS card! My friend Mary Anne stopped by recently and brought along her new MFT dies, so I cut a few of these in different colors. The "celebrate" was done with Pacific Point cardstock and I added an embossed panel to the bottom half. For the final touch, I added a silver sticker border and this card was done in minutes!
This card is going into the following challenges...
Addicted to CAS #43 - "celebrate"
Addicted to Stamps #104 - "CAS"
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find a reason to celebrate something today!

CAS Get Well
Addicted to CAS #22 has a challenge with the code words "Get Well" and MFP/Speedy Fox & Friends challenge #177 is asking us to use "the letter G" {geraniums & get well} so I combined both challenges and made this card. The images are from SU! Fabulous Florets, and I used scraps of green dsp for the leaves, so I'll enter this into Pixie's Snippet Playground Challenge #90.
Everything was fussy cut, and I added some black Spica glitter pen accents to the centers of the geraniums.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, and thanks always for stopping by.

Music to my Ears
My card today is for the Addicted to CAS #21 challenge, and this week the code word is "music." I knew immediately what I wanted to do, because whenever I want to hear music, I put on a CD of one of my favorite singers - Rob Thomas. I d/l his current twitter photo from the net, and mounted it on a soft gray circle, stamping the music in the background with Versamark. The musical notes were stamped in matching Bazzill card stock, clear embossed and fussy cut. There's no sentiment necessary if you're a Rob Thomas fan like me - I see his image and hear his voice in my head :)

Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Holiday Holly
I played along with the Addicted to CAS challenge #20 which is "Holiday."
I bought this Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alterations "Holly Branch" die well over a year ago and barely used it, so I decided to make some Christmas cards with it this year. Everything was die cut from my scrap bin, and I curled the leaves around a pencil to give them some life. I popped them up on foam tape and added a Sweet'n Sassy sentiment, and this card was finished!
I'm also entering this into Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground #87. In all honesty, I could probably post every card I make into the playground challenges as I've been trying to use up all those little scraps that have mysteriously accumulated in my stash!
My Christmas card pile is quite substantial as I've been making them all year long, so I'll have plenty of cards to donate this year. (yay!)
This is my 2nd post today, so thanks for coming back! :)

Best Wishes Janet!
This card was made for a great person we've come to know during the past year who's leaving her job to return working in NYC. She's a chef & butcher (among other talents) who works at the farm where we buy pastured meat & eggs. She's always been such a friendly and caring person, and I wanted to let her know how much she's meant to us, so this one's for her!
I used my favorite go-to Hero Arts flower stamp set to make the layered flower and leaves. I used Melon Mambo and PTI New Leaf card stock and heat embossed the images with clear detail ep after stamping with Versafine Onyx black ink. The sentiment is by SU! and the pearls are from PizzazzAplenty. The inside says "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams."
Since the code word for this week's Addicted to CAS #11 is "flower" I'm entering this into that challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Wings
This is my 2nd card for today, and I'm entering it into the Addicted to CAS challenge #18.
I always have a need for sympathy cards, as they're requested more than any other, so I die cut the MB Vivienne and Darla butterflies, glued them together and then added different colors of stickles for some color and sparkle. The teardrop and round pearls are from Pizzazz Aplenty, while the sentiment and ef are from SU!. I stamped the sentiment with some grey wool ink for a softer look.
That's all I have for today, but again - thanks so much for checking in :) Have yourself a wonderful day!

for Dad
I made this card with 2 challenges in mind. The CAS-ual Fridays CFC91 is "Hi-Ho Silver" - to use silver on your card. It's also for the Addicted to CAS #7 challenge "It's raining men" - to make a masculine card.
I used the SB sprockets die for the circle, along with the SU! Hearts a Flutter flag dies and coordinating stamps, and embossed everything in silver. A touch of black with turquoise, and 4 silver brads was all this card needed. The "dad" was done with those old wooden stick stamps that I've had forever. I've done several of these cards in different colors, but I liked this silver one the best!
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a fabulous day!

You've Gotta Have Heart!
I made this card for the Addicted to CAS ATCAS#5 challenge which is "heart." I used a SNSS heart die to cut various sizes and shapes of hearts from an older Cosmo Cricket paper pad, so I lined them up in a row, matted with coordinating dsp, and added a tiny red gemstone to one of the smaller hearts. I couldn't think of a better sentiment than the one I used from MFP. The cream-colored, linen finish card stock was a gift from my friend Heidi.
While I had so many hearts left over, I decided to make another card using the hearts. This one isn't quite so CAS, but I like it. I added 3 more tiny red gemstones to this, along with a different dsp mat. I still had more hearts left over, so I made a 3rd card...
For this one, I embedded the hearts by embossing them with a square lattice ef and added the gemstone to the smaller heart on the top. It needed something else, so I added some vanilla taffeta ribbon. The ribbon and red gemstones are both from Pizzazz Aplenty.
I guess I have the best of both worlds when I can go from CAS to an embellished card using the same materials. OWH will be the recipient of all 3 of these cards - and who knows? I may even make a few more because I still have some leftover hearts to use :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

DD35 & ATC4
Here's my poorly-photographed (cloudy day) card for the Dynamic Duos #35 challenge which is to use So Saffron and Certainly Celery to create a breath of spring. I'm also entering this card into the Addicted to CAS #4 challenge which this week uses the code word "emboss." I embossed the white card stock with a Darice Butterflies in Corner ef and then embossed the celery dsp and saffron cs in the same folder and hand-cut the butterflies to place on top of the white embossed butterflies. I added some assorted sizes and shapes of pearls along with some divine twine from Pizzazz Aplenty and stamped a SNSS sentiment with basic grey ink. If only we had some sunshine - or - I had a bright light to take better indoor photos.....sigh :)
I'll have more a little bit later today, but for now I hope this card puts you in the mood for spring ;)

Hugs and Kisses
Today's card is a good old red, white and blue card that's sweet, took less than 10 minutes to make and it's CAS. The image is a digi from Michelle Perkett, and I colored it with Copics, added stickles to the white "kiss" and layered it on a navy piece of cardstock that was outlined with a silver paint pen before cutting with a SB labels 18 die. I'm entering this into the following challenges :
OWH Stars and Stamps mid-week throwdown - red, white, and blue
Addicted to CAS ATCAS#3 - "sweet"
CAS-ual Fridays CFC83 - make a holiday themed card in less than 10 minutes
10 Minute Craft Dash#9 - make a holiday themed card in less than 10 minutes
Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and thanks for stopping by during this busy time of the year! It's always so nice to see you here :)

CAS Winter Blues
My card today is for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC79 challenge "Winter Blues", and it's also for the brand new Addicted to CAS challenge #1 which is "Snow."
For my card I used a beautiful blue cardstock from GinaK along with a Memory Box Frostyville border die, and then embossed it with a CB snow ef. The sentiment panel was done with a SB grommet tag die and the silver sentiment and snowflakes are stickers.
