Mother's Day

I used up my very last bits of blushing bride dsp to make the flowers on this card. I silver heat-embossed the Inkadinkado mother's day sentiment and added 2 die-cut Cheery Lynn mini flourish dies to the sides done with my Big Shot and some dark gray snippets of cardstock. The punched flowers were done with 2 different sizes of SU! flower punches and dotted with clear gemstones in the centers as well as randomly on the blushing bride panel. The beautiful background paper was bought pre-embossed and makes the most elegant cards in my opinion.

I'm entering this into the following challenges :

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - use more than one die or punch

Thanks for checking in today - I hope you're having a wonderful day!

Combined Challenges

Happy Monday everyone, I hope your weekend was a good one!
I made this card for two challenges. First is the Stars & Stamps #29 sketch challenge found here. Next up is the SCS Technique Tuesday challenge which is to use TT stamps. That challenge is here but it ends today. I picked up this cute TT stamp set called "Ribbit" at the Valley Forge Convention last week. I love the tiny, detailed fly image almost as much as the frog, so I made 3 little fly embellishments on the bottom of this card by stamping with versafine onyx black ink, coloring with a Tombow marker and adding some Glossy accents. I hate flies, but I like these little guys LOL! The frog was stamped with Versamark, and embossed with Hunter Green ep, while the leaves were stamped using Wild Wasabi. I added more color to the frog and background with Tombows and stickles, then added some Wasabi ribbon and a button with navy hemp. The vertical DP is from Basic Grey Two Scoops and the blue background is from the PTI bitty box collection. I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders for the background and panel.
Next up is a card using the same sketch as above, only I flipped it and added a circle sentiment. This is a stamped image I received from Michelle last year. I colored it but never made a card until now. I used Tombows for coloring and added some silver deco pen accents to the ribbon and bow on the package. The sentiment is from G Studios, while the DP is all Figgy Pudding from BG (one of my all-time favs). I made a few faux brads to balance everything out.
It's going to be another hot one here in PA, so I've already run all my errands and I'm staying indoors and chilling for the day! Stay cool and have a good one!!

Glossy Posies

I made it to the CK Scrapbook convention at Valley Forge yesterday and picked up a few new goodies, so you're seeing some of them on this card that I made for 2 challenges over on SCS. This week's QFTD20 is FrancieG, and in tribute to her being chosen our new queen this week, I chose her Showers bring Flowers card to case. The 2nd challenge I entered was the Technique Tuesday TTSC1 to use any of their stamps to make a card. I found this cute Pocket Full of Posies set at their booth yesterday and had to have it! I stamped the flowers and leaves, embossed them, colored with reinkers, cut them out, and finally added Glossy Accents and pearls. I just bought the Spellbinders Labels 10 yesterday too, so this card is pretty much the same design as Francie's card with only a few minor changes. I also got my stampers 10 order last night too, so I'll probably be playing with all these new goodies today instead of doing something sensible:)
On another note..........if you have time, be sure to check out this new blog I just added to my blog list. You won't be disappointed!! Tell her Carol sent ya :)
Have a wonderful Saturday and I might be back with more later today!

Care for Some Snow.......anyone??

This card meets both the SC291 sketch challenge as well as the Technique Tuesday challenge TTSC1 to use TT stamps. I'm fortunate to have several TT sets so I decided to play along.
For this card I used the "No Two Alike" set, stamping in bashful blue. After stamping, I embossed the whole panel with a CB snowflakes ef. I created the bashful blue snowflake with a MS snowflake punch, and layered it with white and enchanted evening cardstocks using my Cricut. {George cartridge} The shape is supposed to be a sun, but it perfectly matched my snowflake, so I officially turned it into a snowflake for this card. The snowflake brad is from my stash. The sentiment is by G Studio and was stamped in PTI's enchanted evening. This was a quick and simple sketch and a fun way to revisit some stamps I haven't used in a while. It's also my first Christmas card this year!! Woot!!
Stay cool out there!!!!
