Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today it's all about the Shamrocks and wearing of the green because it's St. Patrick's Day. I embossed a white panel with a Spellbinders LetterPress Embossabilities folder and gathered up all my tiny bits of green cardstock and die-cut lots of shamrocks with a TE die, placing them on the circle portions of the embossed design. I dotted each shamrock with green glitter stickles to make it a bit festive. I liked this just as it is and decided to add the sentiment inside.

I'm heading over to the Snippets Playground #476 with this card, since all those tiny shamrocks were cut from snippets of green.

Thanks for stopping by and may your day bring you good luck always!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hopefully this card has arrived at it's destination in time for today's celebration!
It's a Brutus Monroe gnome die I turned into a leprechaun of a different kind! I used a Lawn Fawn background window die along with 3 snippets of assorted green papers and an embossed panel of cardstock, along with die-cut shamrocks of green and gold done with a Taylored Expressions set of dies. I added some sparkly stickers and sticker bits of gold leftover from flower stickers to accent the panels, then colored his shoes, gloves and hat fur with a gold wink of stella glitter pen. I even put a little gold stem sticker with a green flower in his hand! He's all ready to celebrate and I hope you are too!

Wishing you all a pot of gold
and all the joy your heart can hold!

Happy St. Patrick's day everyone!

St. Patrick's Day Card

I make a couple St. Patrick's day cards to send out each year, and this one is going to a friend who sent me this cute Brutus Monroe gnome die last year. The rainbow and clouds were done with Lil Inker dies and the cauldron was made with a retired SU! ornament punch, altered a bit with legs added. The golden shamrocks were done with Taylored Expressions dies and the "good luck" on the cauldron is a peel-off sticker. The sentiment panel was done with a Sweet 'n Sassy ticket die and the sentiment was done with a long-retired SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp (2009). I added a little shamrock sticker to the sentiment panel and some sparkly green Stampendous peel-off stickers to the gnomes hat and tassel. The clouds were lightly sponged with some Tumbled Glass ink and I covered them both with clear Wink of Stella. I colored the gnome's gloves with a fluorescent green Copic marker in keeping with the "green" holiday.

I'll enter this card into the following challenges:

The Allsorts Challenge #667 - Spring is in the Air

I wish spring was in the air, but in my area we're bracing for a few inches of snow and freezing temperatures throughout the day, so I'll have to wait a bit longer for spring. It will be a good day to work on crafts and put a big pot of home made soup on the stove.
Thanks for stopping by and do have yourself a great weekend whatever you do!

Big Dill

I found this unnamed digital image in my files that just amused me, so I had to make a card with it. I printed it and cut it with a GMD stitched square die, adding some TE die-cut shamrocks and some tiny Stampendous Geo Sparkler stickers in green and gold. The embossed background was done at a friend's house years ago with hunter green card stock, but I didn't note the maker of the ef. I had it in my Christmas tub for years, but decided to use it for the upcoming holiday that celebrates green. I cut a fishtail banner from a snippet of designer paper that reminded me of pickles, so I went with it. It's all on a kraft card base.

I'll share this over at the Double D challenge which is "all about the green."
They have this mood board to inspire us:

I don't see any pickles on there, but pickles are green, so I guess I'm good! LOL

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

St Patrick's Day Card

Each year I make a couple St. Patrick's Day cards to send out, and here's one from this year. I used a pre-colored digital image and enhanced the colors with Copics, adding some Glossy Accents to the shamrock and some Dazzling Diamond Stickles to the beer suds. I added a die-cut Taylored Expressions shamrock to the bottom left corner for a little bit of extra luck. The papers are both digital prints that I thought looked good together and it's all on a Wild Wasabi card stock base with black mats on the designer papers.

Here's a close-up of that detailed beer mug.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

A Pooch Wearing the Green

I found this adorable print (artist unknown) on Pinterest and printed it out to make a St. Patrick's Day card. That puppy is just too cute! I die-cut the print with a Lil Inker stitched rectangle and matted it with celery green, then die-cut what I THINK is an artichoke green card base with another stitched rectangle die. The medallion was also a digital print (no name) that had a shamrock in the center with a smiley face. I covered up the smiley face with a MFT stitched circle die-cut in matching celery and also die-cut the digital image with a larger stitched circle die, placing a Taylored Expressions die-cut shamrock in the center. I die-cut a matching scalloped circle with a SB die to mat it and called this one done.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

Twofer # 2 Challenge with "Hearts"

Darnell's 2nd Twofer challenge is open and running right now and here are the two cards I made using hearts.

I made a children's all occasion card as well as a St. Patrick's day card with my hearts.

I shamelessly CASED this card from Gramma's Room blog because it was adorable and I wanted to make one as soon as I saw it! I used a Lawn Fawn die to create the tiny clouds, and a Sweet'n Sassy grass border die for the bottom of the card. I hand-drew the mouth on the bug's face and used a SU! owl punch to make the eyes. The circle itself was die-cut with a MFT stitched circle.

I had several of those smaller die-cut hearts left over from the children's card in a soft green color, so I decided to make a big shamrock for St. Patrick's day. I used 2 larger heart dies in the set and cut dark green and patterned paper hearts and layered them on top of one another, adding 3 green gemstones on top of the smallest hearts that are the same ones used on the 2nd card. The medallion was a digital print with no name, and it had a smiley face in the center, so I die-cut another pastel green stitched circle and placed it in the center, and added a die-cut shamrock done with a Taylored Expressions die, and finally a tiny green gemstone to the center. The outer layer was done with an older punch and the shamrock stem was hand-cut.

Below is the card I cased for the children's Hello There card. Thanks to Alice for her keen investigation skills and comment that gave me a link to this posted card :)

Both my cards are going to the Twofer #2 challenge to use "hearts" and the children's card is going over to the Snippets Playground #320 since it was made entirely of snippets.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Sunday!
