Monochromatic Vintage Media

My card was made for the Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #252 which is "monochromatic." Deedee's digis is sponsoring this challenge, so I've used her Vintage Media digital stamp set in the pre-colored version. I added a snippet of dsp from my stash that coordinated with the colors and added glossy accents to the telephone just for fun. The sentiment is from the same set, and I definitely remember phones like this - I had one exactly like it hanging on my kitchen wall and I'd give anything to have one of them again! These phones actually worked - unlike the wireless phones we're forced to use today.

Deedee's digis has a new November monthly challenge where you can earn free digi stamps just by playing along. If you didn't play along last month and missed receiving the November digi, you can get it for a ridiculously reduced price, but only as long as the November challenge is ongoing. Get all the details HERE!

Thanks for checking in today, and have yourself a fabulous crafty day!

Decorative Corners

I've made another card with Deedee Anderson's "Mix it up" digi stamp set for the Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge #202 to use "decorative corners." Deedee is sponsoring this challenge, so be sure and check out all the details to learn how you could win a fun prize! "Mix it Up" also happens to be Deedee's "digi of the month" and you can pick it up for a low price during November, so please check all the details right here. There's even a free set of recipe cards that coordinate with this fun image, and with holiday baking just around the corner, they'll come in handy I'm sure!

There are several dsp's included with this set, and I printed one out for this card. The image is pre-colored, but my printer is nearly antique, and images are always washed out, so I enhance them with Copics to brighten them up a bit. I added some spica glitter pen highlights to the bow in Mrs. Moose's umm fur :) I added a punched border with a SU! punch, punched corners with a SU! retired punch, and added some frosted pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty with a piece of gingham ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great Wednesday!
