Easter Bunny

I found this older Penny Black stamped image in my stash and pulled it out to make an Easter card. I colored the image with Copics, adding white gen pen accents to the flowers and some fluff to his tail with liquid applique. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps and the basket weave embossing folder is from SU!. I added 3 tiny lavender gemstones for the finishing touch.

I will share this card with these challenges:

A/G with an optional "Easter" theme

The Allsorts Challenge # week 773/4 - keep it simple or A/G
(I hardly ever make anything simple, so it's A/G)

Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge - A/G using an embossing folder
with an optional twist of "birds"

Here in PA it's yet another rainy day, but I wish you some warm sunshine wherever you live. Make it a great day whether it's rain or shine.
Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Easter

I found this older Penny Black duckling image in a box of stamped images and colored it up to make an Easter card. I used a SU! basketweave embossing folder along with stitched circle dies and 2 different Easter sentiment dies. I added 3 sparkle stickers just for fun.

the Bunny

I have loved this bunny from the first time I saw him. A dear friend sent me some die cuts of him (thank-you again) and then another dear friend bought the die and sent it to me (another huge thanks) and I haven't been able to put it down too much since I got it LOL I made this card with 3 of those little bunnies hiding in the grass along with 3 tiny eggs that are hidden with them. The large pink panel was done with a Papertrey ink stamp embossed with white EP and a Gina Marie Designs Venetian label die. The sentiment was a snipped portion of a SSS pre-printed one, and the pre-embossed woodgrain cardstock is also by SSS. The grass dies are by SNSS and I stenciled in a few pale clouds in the sky for those stamped SNSS birds to fly in.

I'll share this with the Retro Rubber Challenge #226 - Spring is on the Way

Easter Bunny and Egg snippets

Today I have 2 Easter cards made with that cute bunny that's making himself well known around blogland. In this first card I gave his ears and face a little color before placing him atop of a big Easter egg, done with a SSS die and lots of colorful snippets. The Easter greeting is a die-cut from Echo Park done with white snippets while the grass was done with a SNSS grassy border die and a snippet of green.

For this version I used a white card base and assorted snippets of purple, lavender and other colors to create the egg. I use a blue bunny for this one and stenciled in a little blue sky.

I'm sharing the first card with the Snippets Playground#475

Thanks for stopping by and may your week be off to a great start.

Easter Bonnet

I've had this Penny Black Easter Bonnet stamped image in my stash for a long time and with Easter just around the corner, I figured it was time to color it and make a card with it. I used Copics and glaze pens to color the image and mounted it on a piece of bright yellow cardstock. I found a strip of designer paper that seemed to match the soft coral cardstock and found another strip of dark purple cardstock that coordinated with the big bow around her neck, so I embossed that with a SU! dots ef and punched the end with a hexagon punch to give it a fishtail look. The sentiment is a pre-printed one from Simon Says Stamp and I had a narrow strip of the yellow cardstock, so I glued it behind the sentiment just for fun.

I'm sharing this with

A/G *optional "Easter"

Thanks for the visit and as always, I wish you the best possible day.

Happy Easter!

I found this stamped image in my box recently and made an Easter card with it using pastel colors. I colored the image with Copics and added a pre-printed SSS sentiment. I cut the 4 pastel panels of cardstock, then embossed them all with a Cuttlebug Geometric Rings embossing folder and placed them on a white card base and called this one done.

I'm sharing this card with...

The Paper Players PP635 challenge - use any colors in pastel shades

the Allsorts Challenge 722/723 - A/G *option of In the Spring Garden

Can You Handle the Pressure - use an EF *optional clouds

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and I wish everyone a very happy Easter today!

Happy Easter

Whenever I have bits of cardstock that are too small for bigger projects, I use a 1" square punch to cut them and put them into a little box. When I find the box getting full, I sort them out and adhere all of them to a scrap piece of cardstock to make a background. For this card, I used a set of GMD dies to make the background and image panel. The die-cut sentiment was done with an unbranded die a friend gifted me with years ago, and that too was made from colorful leftover bits of cardstock. I added 3 tiny gemstones for the finishing touch. I made a few Easter cards like this and they're already in the mail.

I'm sharing this over at the Snippets Playground #451

Happy Easter

Easter is just around the corner, so I need to get busy making cards for that occasion. For my first one, I used all snippets of designer paper and cardstock. The egg was made from a Simon Says Stamp die, while the bunny and his bow was done with Lil Inker dies. The strip of designer paper is unknown, while the notched border was made with a MFT die. The sentiment panel was made with 2 retired SU! punches and a retired (2009-10) SU! teeny tiny wishes greeting. For the final touch I added a tiny black pearl for the bunny's eye, and placed this all on a purple card base.

I'll share with these challenges:

the Retro Rubber Challenge #202 - A/G (stamps must be at least a year old)

Hoppin' Bunnies

Sorry for the shabby photo but we have a cloudy day today so this was the best I could do.
I die-cut 3 of the Tim Holtz sizzix bunny dies in different bunny colors and placed them hiding behind the grass with 3 hidden Easter eggs. I did the grass with a SNSS die from some (r) SU! cardstock and dsp in 3 rows. I added a SSS pre-printed sentiment and called this one done.

I'll enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and my wish for you is the same as always - have the best possible day!

Easter Card

Here's another Easter card I made this year. I used SU! retired designer papers for this, along with a stamped image I've had for years. I stamped this at a friend's house in multiples, and this was the last remaining image I had left. Sorry, I don't know who makes the image, but I love it. I used a MFT notched die for the polka dot panel and a Simon Says Stamp pre-printed sentiment. The final touch was the little enamel heart by Taylored Expressions.

I'm sharing this with the Little Red Wagon challenge #650 - what did you make for Easter?

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day!

Happy Easter

Today I have 2 Easter cards to share made with a retired SU! Easter lamb image. I used 2 snippets of SU! retired designer papers along with some coordinating cardstock which may also be retired by now too - I don't keep up with what's retired anymore since I'm no longer a SU! demo. For the first card, I put the solid card stock on top with the stripes underneath. I added a snippet of gingham ribbon around the oval and added a little bow on top with a glue dot. I colored the lamb with Copics, adding dots of crystal Nuvo drops to the body for texture and sparkle.

This one has the solids underneath and the stripes on top. I don't know who makes that starburst die as I've had it for years and forgot to mark the manufacturer when I first bought it. I think the stitched oval die for the main panel is by MFT.

I'll share these over at the Snippets Playground #426 which is always to use your snippets.

Wishing all my wonderful blogging friends a blessed Easter if you celebrate it, and if you don't, the wish is for a wonderful day filled with kindness and joy!
Thanks for stopping by and do take good care!

Joyful Easter

Today I have 2 Easter cards to share. I have quite a few of those strip embossing folders and hardly ever use them, so I pulled 2 different ones out and made cards with them. For the first, I used some GinaK orchid LE cardstock I've had for years. I also used a GinaK stamp that I colored with Copics and used a Darice strip embossing folder to make the horizontal panel. I added some very old flower ribbon to the embossed panel, adding peel off stickers to the centers for a little sparkle.
The sentiment is by Sweet 'n Sassy.

For this version, I chose a Cuttlebug strip embossing folder and added aqua Nuvo drops to the flower centers for some subtle sparkle. The flowers were colored with glaze pens and black Nuvo drops. I chose Soft Sky cardstock for the card base and horizontal panel.

I'd like to enter the first card into the "Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge" which is anything goes with an option to add a twist of Easter. Embossing is required whether it's heat or dry embossing.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you're enjoying a nice weekend. It sure feels great to know warmer temperatures are on the way soon!
Take care and stay well.

Happy Easter

I sponged the colors onto this card using Tumbled Glass, Citron and Raspberry distress inks. I sponged the middle section first with Spun Sugar, then used a die-cut cross for a mask, sponging over and around it with Raspberry ink to make the soft image of a cross appear in the sky. I added a SSS Bunny Hugs die-cut to the bottom, adding a Sweet 'n Sassy sentiment that I've had for probably ten years. I replaced the little heart in the bunny with some pink glitter paper for a touch of sparkle.

I will enter this into the following challenges:

the Retro Rubber Challenge #155 - Rainbow - use stamps more than 1 yr old

Wishing those who celebrate a very joyful and blessed Easter today. May your holiday be spent with loved ones once again.
Thanks for stopping by.

Easter Cards

Here are two Easter cards I made this year with a new Wavy Egg wafer die from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment was done with a set of dies that were a gift from a friend last year. I used an assortment of colors and designer papers to create the eggs and sentiment, and added clear WOS to the cross.

Here's another version with an embossed basket weave background from SU! along with a turquoise card base. I used glaze pens to add colors to the tiny die-cut egg in the sentiment.

I'll share with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes

Last but not least, the NBUS challenge #24 because this is the first time I've used this wavy egg die.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do.

Easter Bunny

Here's my first Easter card of 2021. I used a Lil Inker set of stitched bunny dies to make the bunny and his bow, adding a yellow gemstone to his bow and a tiny blue gemstone for his eye. I used some liquid applique for his tail and coated it well with clear wink of stella, then placed him on a die-cut stitched oval of some pastel baby blue shimmer cardstock. The background was done with a SU! Basket Weave Dynamic embossing folder on a piece of pastel yellow, and the sentiment was done with a Studio G $1 stamp I bought from Michaels probably a decade ago (or longer). The card base is blue indigo.

I'll enter this into the following challenges:

The Color Hues Challenge # 13 - use shades of yellow and blue

The Retro Rubber Challenge # 153 - Tic-Tac-Toe Grid and use a stamp more than a year old

I used the bottom horizontal line of Die or punch/Texture/Blue

Thanks for stopping by and may your day be filled with kindness!

Good Egg Easter Card

I'm still working on my box of snippets and for this card I pulled out some strips of Lawn Fawn pattern papers and adhered them to a piece of scrap card to make the background. The colors and patterns remind me of spring, so I went with the colors of the season. I used a retired SU! stamp set from 2017 called "Hey Chick" to stamp the eggs with legs (LOL) and the square sentiment. I used snippets of pastel cardstock to make the mats for the squares. I used a $1 stamp set I've had for years to create the eggs, and colored them with glaze pens before fussy cutting and then adding a little piece of die-cut grass with each one - done with a SNSS grass border die.  The HAPPY EASTER sentiment was done with another $1 stamp set, and I die cut the words with MFT label dies in 2 different sizes. has anyone saved all those precious $1 stamps from years gone by? I still have a drawer full of them that I often forget to use.

I'm sharing this with the Retro Rubber Challenge #131 which is a tic-tac-toe grid. I used the diagonal from the top left which is eggs, die cut or punch, patterned paper.

Joyful Easter

I made an Easter card with one of those fun new Tim Holtz bunny dies and put him onto a Lawn Fawn die-cut tag, adding some Nuvo drops, ribbon, twine, and a mirror card purple bow that was die-cut with a Lil Inker set of bunny and bow dies. I added 2 strips of designer paper in coordinating colors, and added 3 mirror starbursts done with a very, very old starburst mini punch. This was placed on a piece of SSS embossed card stock and I added a sentiment done with a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp. The mirror card reflects the light and alters the actual colors but they all coordinate perfectly IRL.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Little Red Wagon challenge #539 - tie one on (use ribbon, twine, or string - anything that can be tied

It's going to be another busy day of running errands for me, so have yourself a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Easter Lamb

Today I have a card made with an older SU! image called Easter Lamb that's from the 2016 Occasions mini catalog. I haven't used it often, but decided to make a few Easter cards with it this year. I stamped the image in smoky slate ink, coloring softly with Copics and adding lots of stickles and nuvo glitter drops to the fur just for a little sparkle. I die cut the panels with Lil Inker stitched rectangles and embossed the background with a Darice embossing folder. The final touch was a little twine bow along with a Sweet n Sassy stamped sentiment.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

Retro Rubber Challenge #129 - anything goes (stamps must be older than 1 year)

Easter Bunny

I have another Easter card to share today. This was a stamped image I've had in my stash for quite some time. I have no idea who makes it, but that little bunny in the decorated egg is so cute! I colored the image with Copics, and added some stitched oval die cuts from GMD along with a scalloped oval die cut from SB and placed it all on a Soft Sky piece of designer paper. It was quick and easy and fun to make.

I'll share this with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge which gave us this Spring mood board to base our cards on...

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a happy spring.
