Fetch A Sketch & CR84FN

Here's my card for the Fetch A Sketch Challenge #31 as well as the CR84FN61 color challenge to use aqua, tan, & cream. These colors look so pretty together!
I used PTI vintage cream, kraft, and cool caribbean card stock, stamping the Summer Silhouette image with caribbean and versacolor sand beige ink. I added some bling to the smaller blooms, and added some fancy fan embossing to the background. The cc panel was stamped with cc and the border was done with a MS doily punch, while the kraft punch was done with an EK tiny scallop border punch. The sentiment panel was punched with an EK punch, and I added a MFP sentiment done with a word window punch.

Thanks as always for spending a few moments of your day with me here. Much appreciated :)

Congratulations & One for the Kiddos

My friend asked me to make her a "Congratulations" card for her nephew who made the dean's list, so this is the card I came up with. I used Kaiser dsp, a SimonSaysStamp hexagon die, and a KSS sentiment stamp. I'll be entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Bingo challenge as well as the Art Impressions stamps #75 challenge to use "any sentiment." Here's the bingo grid for the SSS challenge...

I chose the center horizontal line and used a Die Cut, "free square" and glitter. I glittered the brads by dipping them into a versamark ink pad, and then dipping them into red glitter embossing powder.

This card was made for 2 challenges. This cute digi image is from Saturated Canary and you can find the details to d/l this cute image right here. I made this card for the Saturated Canary Challenge #23 with a theme of the "great outdoors." I also used the colors from the CR84FN60 to use the colors of grape, green, and blue.

I used strips of assorted dsp and did the herringbone technique for the background, embossing it with a plaid ef to add a bit more texture. The image was colored with Copics, and the sentiment was computer generated. A sequin star was added to his hat, and a few ribbon snippets later, this was done!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I wish you all a fabulous Friday!

Challenges, Challenges!

I have a few cards to share that I made for several challenges, so this will be a long post. First up is the {PIN}spirational challenge 14. This blog selects items found on Pinterest and we're to use them for inspiration to make a card. In the selected photo above, I saw boats, blue gingham, red & yellow, so this is the card I made:
I used a free digi that Paula shared with us over on OWH, and added a computer-generated sentiment. This will be going into my next OWH box, as I'm trying to focus more on cards for kids. The red frame is the negative portion from cutting a square with a SB die. I thought it made a nice frame for the little boat image.
Speaking of OWH, this is the sketch challenge #128 for this week over on the Stars & Stamps blog.
And the color challenge over at the CR84FN58 is yellow, red, and neutral colors. I've combined both the sketch & color challenges to make this card...
I used a SB M-bossability So Trendy ef for the yellow panels, and die cut some stars using a SNSS star die, and also a SNSS star border die for the tiny stars. The sentiment is from the Hip-Hop Accessories stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger. This time I'm posting my CR84FN card in a more timely manner, as last week I posted a card I made after the links were closed! {duh}

And finally, this card meets 2 challenges. It's for the CAS-ual Fridays CFC60 to use text on your CAS (clean & Simple) card, as well as the OWH OurDailyBreadDesigns July challenge to use "cool colors" on our cards. I stamped some PTI text with Memento Lulu Lavender ink on white, and matted with Pale Plum card stock. The embossing folder is by CB, while the sentiment is from SNSS. The flower is a tiny Prima, and I added some vellum leaves and a pearl to the center.

Thanks for staying with me for this extra-long post! It's been so hot outside, I've been hiding out in my craft room making cards and playing along with challenges! Have a great Sunday!

A Double Challenge with some Fresh Daisies

I recently won this awesome MB Fresh Daisies die from SimonSaysStamp and I've been playing with it and making lots of cards for my stash. I combined 2 challenges to make this card, and I think I'll be making more like this in assorted colors. I used a piece of tan card stock from Bazzill, adding some PTI bitty box basics dsp, and a piece of cream colored textured card stock. The sentiment was done with an Inkadinkado Stamper on a tiny tag punch, and I added a tiny pink gemstone from Pizzazz Aplenty just for fun.
This was done for the CR84FN57 color challenge to use bright pink, tan and neutral. I just love the color combination! It also follows the Freshly Made Sketch 42 made by Jennifer T.
Oops! The CR84FN57 challenge has expired and I can't enter my card there, but oh well - I still like the card!

Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day here with me. Stay cool!!

Flourescent Colors of Spring

Hello and a very happy Sunday to everyone! In spite of my mentioning to a few folks that the clocks needed to be turned ahead last night, guess who forgot to do her own?! LOL Life is great :)
Here is this week's OWH Stars and Stamps sketch for challenge #112.
And here is the spring-like card I made with it. I spotted another challenge called the CR84FN50 color challenge to use pink, orange & yellow, so I thought I'd combine both challenges into one card.  My flourescent copics just never see enough love, so I pulled them out and colored this embossed panel and added some black mini brads. I've had this piece of flourescent orangy-pink cardstock for a long time, and decided to pair it up with these flowers. Bright is the keyword for today :)
I used a square lattice ef, a SNSS sentiment, a SU! large oval punch, and an EK punch for the sentiment panel. The flowers were embossed with a CB ef.
Mr Linky seems to be on vacation all over blogland this morning, so I'll get this card linked up to the proper challenges as soon as the links become available.
Have a great Sunday and thanks for stopping by!
