December 25th

I've been working hard to use up my Christmas paper pads to make cards (so I can buy new ones for next year) and this card was made with some snippets from Photoplay Kringle & Co. I used 3 strips that I thought looked good together, and added used a SB labels 25 die to cut the word "December" from a sheet of scrapbook paper. I used a red marker around the edge of the die before removing it. The stitched circle is from MFT, and the glittered red 25 was cut with Impression Obsession dies. I fussy cut that cute little Gerda Steiner critter and placed him on the bottom, then added some black and red gemstones to finish this card.

Youngster's Birthday Card

I made a double point folded birthday card using Gorgeous Grape cardstock and papers from a Bo Bunny paper pad. I followed this tutorial to create my card, making some adjustments to fit the image I wanted to use. I used a Gerda Stein mouse image, adding a fussy cut party hat and a little present to his hands. The sentiment was done with a G Studio stamp and I added lots of geo sparkler stickers to make it festive. I die-cut the stitched purple heart and added a heart-shaped gemstone which holds the card closed.

Here's what it looks like opened with a fun stamped sentiment inside.

I'm going to share this with the CARDZ TV anything goes challenge #153

Oddball Turtle

Today I have a birthday card made for an old slow-poke like myself 😊. At my age, everything slows down, so I thought this would be a fun twist on a birthday card. I used a brand new Stamping Bella "Oddball Turtle" stamp, coloring it with Copics and adding it to 2 different water-colored panels. The largest panel was embossed with a Clockworks ef after coloring, plus I found a smaller green colored panel in my snippets box that looked compatible to the larger one. The card base is SU! Granny Apple green and I added liquid applique to the turtle's eyes. The sentiment inside says "Forward is forward" so I thought it would make a fun birthday card for someone of my age. I used a Lil Inker stitched rectangle die to cut the main image panel.
