Good Bye 2023

I made this card with an Altenew Trio Fireworks embossing folder and some  pink mirror cardstock. I bought this folder a while ago but this is it's first outing, just perfect for the celebration that will take place later tonight as 2024 is ushered in. The celebrate sentiment was die cut with silver mirror card and a Lil Inker die, and I added some silver sequins and a tiny pearl for the finishing touch.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Party Time

The Alphabet Challenge - T is for Texture

The NBUS Challenge #57 - Never Before Used Schtuff (ef)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the visits over the past year(s) and all the lovely comments you leave. I appreciate each and every one of you and I wish you all a blessed, healthy, and happy new year in 2024!

Autumn Birthday Card

My neighbor and sweet friend is having a birthday in a few days and I made this card for her with an autumn leaves theme. I made the background by using an older wooden leaf stamp I've had for eons. I inked assorted colors directly on the rubber and then stamped randomly on the card base. I had a snippet of rust-colored cardstock and die-cut the Lawn Fawn stitched leaf and made a punched border with an EK leaf punch. I used snippets of mirror and glitter card to punch again, inserting the pieces back into the punched border for a little sparkle and color. I die-cut the stitched tag from vellum and placed the leaf on that, adding a heat-embossed gold sentiment from SU!'s teeny tiny wishes, and placed it on a black snippet cut with a SU! word window punch. I also punched a piece of the golden vellum with a MS doily punch and added that underneath the punched border. The final touch was to add a golden butterfly sticker to the top of the tag.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

(I love swapping either punched or die-cut negative bits)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have yourself a wonderful weekend with some great weather where you are.

Cool Yule

I've been working through my snippet box trying to use up the papers I've accumulated through the years, and this card is made up entirely of them. The penguin stamp & die set is by Stampendous, and I paper pieced his sweater and hat with some retired SU! dsp and green cardstock, adding liquid applique to the ball on his cap. I embossed the polka dot snippet of dsp with a SU! softly fallen ef to add a little snow. The sentiment is from MFT and was heat-embossed with white on a Lil Inker stitched die-cut banner. The Cherry Cobbler stitched snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn and I dotted the centers with gemstones for a little sparkle.

I'm going to enter this into the Alphabet Challenge blog - P is for Penguins

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!

Feathers

This is my first time playing along in the Alphabet Challenge which is "F is for Feathers." The card I've made today was created with a cute Whimsy stamp and Memory Box feather dies - both recently won in a Snippets Playground drawing! I used Lawn Fawn dsp with some matching blue and gray card stock. The sentiment is from MFP, twine from Whisker Graphics, and the red heart brads were from my stash. I colored the image and matching feathers with Copics and added a few Spica pen glitter accents and stickles to the image just for fun.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
