I found a few snippets from my Sunny Studios paper pack and decided to make a birthday card with them. I had previously made the birthday sentiment panel with a SNSS sentiment and a long-retired SU! corner punch that I still like using. I die-cut the 3 little mice with a Gina Marie Designs die set and used a retired SU! punch to make the black cat. I added a pre-cut Lawn Fawn border die cut along the bottom that just happened to be lying on my table. The background paper is from an old paper pad bought at Tuesday Mornings years ago that no longer has the cover, so I don't know who makes it. The little banners were done with a set of Sizzix thinlet dies, and I added a green and blue tiny gemstone over top of each set of banners just for a little sparkle.
I have a friend who is quite fond of cats, so I'll save this for her birthday coming up in August.
I'll share this with the following challenges:
the Alphabet Challenge blog - C is for Cats
The Critter Crazy Challenge #74 - A/G featuring a critter
We have some bright sunshine today and blue skies and soon those temperatures are going to feel more like spring! YAY!
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

What a cute BD card!
Very cute - love the little mouse in the frame! Thanks for sharing with us at HLS Birthday :)
Just a beautiful card , I love the images and colours. Lovely card design x
Lots of interesting details on this 'dotty' card and I'm sure your cat loving friend will just love it.
Ah, how cheerful and fun card is this, Carol!! Not only a great use of your colourful dotted snippets, but also a great design, not granted! Love the black cat looking at that mouse too near to him! :D And especially love the whole design with the birthday sentiment panel and its punched corners, it breaks the line of the panel below, so there is a lot of movement on your card even if the cat is still. :D The mice are cute, as well the tiny banners and the scallop border on the bottom.
I'm glad to hear that Spring is coming in your zone, so you can enjoy sunny days and Nature beauty! Here is already hot :/
Thank for writing about 14 May for Mom's Day, it's this date also in Italy, I don't know why I wrote 8 May... My mind is too much full in the last times and I make a lot of mistakes. In Italy we say "going with the lame you learn to limp"... Google tells me that you say "If you lie down with dogs, you should expect fleas"... However, you know why.. :)
Hugs dear friend, have a wonderful Spring Sunday!
This is just the sweetest birthday card, Carol! Love the silhouette of the cat and those little mouse dies! The colorful background is perfect and I love the corner punch you used to fancy up the sentiment panel. Your friend will love this! TFS and I hope you enjoyed your Saturday! It sure was a beautiful day! :)
Love the papers and the cute banners, but those tiny little mice steal the show! Great card, thanks for sharing with us at the Alphabet Challenge!
What a cute card. Those naughty mice teasing the cat is so fun. Love the papers too.
Nicely done card!

How adorable Carol! I'm in love with the polka dots and how they layer and compliment each other in the different colors! Those tiny mice with the kitty are too dang cute!!
What a fun card Carol! I love all the polka dot papers, the colored polka dot papers on the black and white one is so cool looking. I'd have never thought to do that! The mice are way to cute posed on this card and love the cat. He'd better get busy from the looks of it! LOL Love how you did your sentiment too, very eye catching. Again, such a fun birthday card and your friend will love it! Hugs, Brenda
What an adorable birthday card, I like the different colours you used, and the polka dot theme puts such a wonderful emphasys on the "party" theme as the dots look like confetti to me. I like how you considered creating a cat-themed birthday card for a cat lover. The little mice are a fun addition, and they remind me of the saying "When the cat's away the mice will play" - but it seems that even when the cat is home there cyan be a celebration. The framed sentiment with punched banners is perfect for the occasion. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
Hugs, Veronika
Great layout for both of these cards and super selection of papers too. They are both very bright and happy cards.
Such a cute and fun card Carol. Love all the polka dots and those adorable mice. Thank you for sharing with us over here at the Critter Crazy Challenge and best of luck with your entry. Love to see you join in each month. Thank you.
