Warm Thoughts for a Cold Day

Just a simple card today meant to warm the soul with a greeting on a snowy day. I found this piece of designer paper in a 12x12 pad with no cover and decided it was perfect for this warm cup of whatever. I used a Penny Black die for the cup, large snowflake and steam coming from the cup. I used wink of stella on all the white for some subtle sparkle and added a tiny leftover snippet of a snowflake right in the center. The sentiment is by Hero arts.

I'll share this with the Little Red Wagon challenge #588 - hot drinks

We got more snow overnight again and more is predicted for early next week, so these warm drinks will be on the menu at our house for a little while longer! Stay warm and thanks for stopping by!

That is lovely background paper and the image sends a warm feeling. The weather is the same here. Snow at some point every day even if it's not a lot. Bitter cold temps and the coldest wind. It whistles around the house. Daisy and I are not big fans! There is nothing like a warm drink on a cold day and you nailed it!

Lovely card Carol, it has really a warm feel with that beautiful vintage dp and that red smoking cup!! Love the bit of texture of the cup and the snowflakes!
Here today it seems full Spring with blue sky and a very warm sun. A great change, as it is raining by a month or so...
But they said that next week will arrive a lot of cold and rain again. Uff...
Hope that the snow in your zone isn't too much. Stay warm and cosy inside and take care of you and Butch.
Big hugs and love across the miles!

I am all about warm wishes atm... it's freezing here in the UK so I would very much welcome a nice hot something. It's a great card and the red really echoes the warmth, I love the addition of the steam and snowflake x

Awesome background paper! And, a wonderful steaming hot beverage, yum! It’s a welcome sight on this cold day! It has been in the teens here. Today we got a new heater for our family room. I think we’ll be nice and warm tonight watching TV!:)

Love this, Carol! The diecut cup is perfect and goes beautifully with that paper! It's been a good week to make cards with the cold & snow we've been getting. Stay warm & keep on stampin', my friend! :)

A perfect card for this snowy, cold weather we are having! I have a hot drink just about everyday and that isn't like me! lol I rarely drink a hot drink, but not this year. But I have been cold, so I grab a cup of coffee in the morning and usually a hot chocolate in the evenings. lol Your card is perfect, I love that background paper, it looks like wallpaper. The mug is awesome, just like the ones I use, nice, big and tall for my whip cream. lol This card definitely sends out warm thoughts! Hugs, Brenda
