Dachshund Birthday Cards

A sweet and generous blogging friend gave me this Dachshund stamp a long time ago and then more recently gave me a few sheets of this fun dsp paper. While sorting through my snippets box, I found the papers and decided to make a couple cards with it. This card is going to a child who is turning 10 in April. I stamped the image on a piece of PTI soft stone card stock, then colored it with Copics and glaze pens. I die-cut it with a GMD stitched square, then matted with a SB scalloped square die in chocolate brown. The sentiment is by CASual Fridays, heat-embossed with white ep on a chocolate chip die-cut Lil Inker stitched sentiment die. The balloon was done with a MS punch, and colored with a neon pink Copic marker, with the string hand drawn with a black marker. The numbers were die cut with my Quickutz. The card base is Cool Caribbean, does anyone remember that beautiful color?

I made a 2nd card for my birthday stash, using circles this time instead of squares. This too was colored with Copics and the sentiment was heat-embossed with white ep on some chocolate chip cardstock. The dsp was matted with strips of matching cardstock found in my stash, and the card base is Pool Party

I'll share this with the following challenges:
