I've been digging into my stash and using dies and card stock that have been neglected for too long. My husband needed a couple thank-you cards recently, so here's one I made for him . It was done with an old piece of soft grey card stock that's swirled with lighter grey colors and has a real masculine look to my eyes. I pulled out some scraps of designer paper that included painted or wood panels, cork, and chocolate chip card stock for the solid color. I used a Crafty Cutts set of Diamond dies to cut the large and small diamonds, and then pieced them together for 2 panels. The "thanks" sentiment is a die from Taylored Expressions and was cut 3 times from chocolate chip and layered for some dimension. The 3 different enamel dots are from SU! and the twine is from the twinery.

What a great idea to a) use up scraps and b) use the design for a masculine card which works so well. I like the sentiment layered for dimension as well as being Brown against the light grey card base x
Such fabulous design!! It's really very masculine and those rustic papers for the big and little diamonds are fabulous! The big sentiment and the string compliment the diamonds so well! Well done on using snippets, too! :D
