Masculine Birthday

I had the need to make a masculine birthday card recently, and here's what I came up with. I used the train image from a retired SU! set called Happiness is a Journey and stamped it with Versafine black ink on a piece of vanilla card stock. I die-cut it with a Gina Marie Designs die, then smeared the outer edges with versamark ink and added some TH aged wood ep to age it a bit. I used 2 gray Copics to add smoke to the top. I die-cut a piece of Bermuda Blue card stock using the same die set, and added a SU! enamel dot just for a little contrast. The background is a piece of woodgrain paper in dark grey tones from the SU! wood paper pack and it's all on a Smoky Slate card base.

Here's what the inside looks like...

I'm sharing this with the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #212 which is asking for something beginning with T.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a great week so far! Here in PA we're bracing for some bone-chilling cold weather along with some snow! Brrrr

Very atmospheric and masculine card, the vintage feel is really suited to the train image and the modern twist with the pop of colour is brilliant x
