Christmas Horses

Every year I make a few Christmas cards with this Impression Obsession horse image. Maybe it has something to do with my loving horses all my life??? I stamped the image with Memento Black ink, and colored the hats, fence, and horse's manes with Copics. I used a black marker to darken their eyes and noses a little bit, then used a white sharpie to lighten the fur on the Santa hats. The sentiment is a die cut from DieVersions done with red cardstock, and the card base is dark green. I added some piercing around the edges along with one fancy corner.

I'm sharing this over at the Jingle Belles Banish the Holiday Blues challenge - which is to make a Christmas card with no blue color. Check!

Enjoy this day whatever you're doing! We have sunshine and warm temperatures in our forecast, but the rains are returning just in time for the weekend...........again :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Carol

This is one of my very favorite stamps to use for Christmas! I love your card Carol. The light coloring on the mane and fence added so much extra. Great die cut sentiment too!

A beautiful stamp, and used so well on this pretty card. Bought the same IO stamp at a show, primarily because DD loves horses (thank goodness she only has greyhounds!) Think it is a NBUS...must look it out after seeing how wonderful it looks here. Perfect coloring to show off the design. TFS & happy wkend. Rainy day here.

These horses are very sweet, and they look great with your accurate detailing on the eyes and the noses, and on the hats! The whole card has a light vintage look, and it's so festive!
Here today sun, but yesterday there was a strong rain, with ice... :/

Love the touches of color on these beauties as well as your piercing. I like that you added the extra piercing in one corner. Nice touch. Enjoy the weekend.
