Anniversary Rose

I wish I could get a better picture of this card, because it doesn't show the pastel colors or the pretty glitter on the rose.  I die cut the SU! rose garden thinlet die in black, and added it to a sticky backed piece of cardstock. I added some diamond dust glitter; pressing it in with my fingers. Next I fussy cut around the edges to trim off the white, and used a q-tip to lightly dab some pink & green chalk on top of the glitter. The sparkle is so subtle and pretty, but it was really difficult to capture it in a photo. Click the photo to enlarge and you may be able to see the details a bit easier. I added some pink and green gemstones randomly along with an anniversary sentiment on a piece of mauve dsp from the DCWV wedding stack.

I'm entering this into the Cuttlebug Mania May Flowers challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Carol

I can't see the pink, but I finally saw the green by enlarging. I may have to make a few of these cut in black to have on hand. Really pretty, Carol.

Sorry, my enlarging is not catching the chalking - but then it's so hard to get things to show well in photos! I know it's pretty! It's also pretty not even being able to see it in the photo with just the black and white. Bet getting these slender lines of the diecut onto the sticky was a bit fiddly, but you've done a super job with that. It looks lovely against this subtle brocade DP...What a beautiful anniversary card too. Well done! TFS & Hugs

This is very pretty and I know it is subtly sparkly because I've done that technique before (and plan to do it tonight). This is quite the elegant card.

Hi Carol, I can see the pale colour in the photo but it shows up better when I enlarge the photo. That's a really good idea. The paper you put the diecut on is also very pretty. Barbxx

This is beautiful Carol even though the colours don't show up to well in the photo. I can see the green in the leaves when I enlarged it.I love the elegant anniversary sentiment.
