Cooling Off!

The HMFMC200 challenge this week is to make a card using blue, yellow, and white. I chose this image because it's been very hot and sticky here in PA and it made me feel a little cooler to see this mouse being doused with some cool water. I chose some papers from Authentique and embossed the yellow background with a Spellbinders So Trendy M-Bossabilites folder to match the horizontal hexagon panel. The border was done with a Simon Says Stamp hexagon border in both colors; inserting the yellow hexes into the blue border. The clouds were done with Ranger Broken China ink, and the image was colored with Copics. The sentiment circle is from a retired SU! set, and I added a punched flower with a blue gemstone in the center from Pizzazz Aplenty.

I hope you're staying cool wherever you are, and thanks for checking in today!

Carol

This is so special. Love that image and I'm not sure I've ever seen it before, but you really dressed it up nicely. Hot hear today but is suppose to cool down by Thursday. Stay cool yourself.

So glad you are joining us for our 200th challenge, Carol. This could not be cuter. And, there have been some hot days lately when this would have felt so good. Love the embossing and you have colored up this delightful image beautifully. Makes you smile just looking at their antics. Thanks for sharing your creation with us at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.

Hugs

Tee-Hee...this'll cool ya off! Some wonderful coloring and those clouds are gorgeously done. Looks just like what I see around here some days. Liking that embossing combined with the dp and that skinny border inlay treatment. You must be the queen of teed-jus paper piecing or inlays. I can just imagine inlaying those tiny bits back in the openings. But really a special look though. Cute little flower tag to set off the sentiment too. TFS
