It's Tag Time
I used inspiration from two challenges to make this Christmas tag. I don't usually make black tags for Christmas, but I like the way this one turned out. I used a pine cone image from the MFP "Take the Time & Father's Day" stamp set, and embossed a few springs with gold ep, while stamping a few others in white pigment ink. I enhanced the white ones with a gold marker and a green Copic, and added lots of tiny red bling here and there. The SNSS sentiment was embossed in gold, and I added a piece of gold & white polka dot washi tape to the bottom before rounding the corners. I used a SU! scalloped top tag punch to make the tag, and finished it with some gold cording, gold ribbon and a piece of gold sequin "ribbon" from SU!
I'm entering this into MFP Speedy Fox & Friends #241 - Christmas tags
I'm also entering this into the Tuesday Throwdown #223 - Bling it On
Thanks for stopping by, and have yourself a great Monday!
FYI, for some reason, blogger changed my settings to word verification. I hate it and never have it turned on, but for some reason it's magically been turned on today. Please bear with me, while I sort this out.
ETA: I've since learned that you can type your comment WITHOUT having to type in the word verification numbers! Just hit "publish" and your comment goes right through!

Oh, I like it on black....makes it all pop. Great idea with the pretty sequins. I want to do something with pinecones soon as I do love them.
It is very elegant and fancy looking. I wouldn't have thought a black tag for Christmas either, but you made it work!
How come the sudden verification, "prove you're not a robot"?
This is stunning! I love the gold painting inside the pinecones!
PS - your word verification is turned on!
Your should make black tag more often because this one came out gorgeous. Love it.

Very pretty!
I think there are many woth the same blogger problems. I have been # verifying all day!
Your blogger does not look any different to me than normal. That is one great tag you have created. Love the strands of sequins you used. I also like the colors you have going on.
This is a beautiful tag Carol! I love the way it turned out too. I am such a sucker for pine boughs & pine cones. lol I am also loving the bottle you are using to prop up your tag on. lol Hugs, Brenda
This black tag just would not have looked so great if you'd used another background color. Love the combination on the pine needles and the string of sequins really added a lot of glitz. Well done on your tags! Love 'em. TFS
