Happy Halloween!

I wanted to share this little gift basket I made for my neighbors. They always sends little gifts over for us on every special holiday, so I made this for them for Halloween and filled it with some home made garlic/dill/ranch pretzels that I made. I used 2 little treat bags that have black spiders all over them so in keeping with that theme, I added some punched spiders on the sides that were done with a MS punch. I dotted the eyes with a white sharpie.
You probably can't see the tags too well, but I made one for each bag, and then added some tiny tags with tiny eyeballs on them! I dotted them with a pearl pen, and after they dried, I used a black copic to dot the eyeballs! Cute!
I used all retired SU! dp for this and some ribbon from my stash for the handle. If you want to find out how to make one of these, the video is here on StampTV.
Happy Haunting everyone! Have a safe and fun Halloween!

Stamps R Us - A Masculine Challenge

Hello and welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge! This week our challenge is a "masculine theme" and our sponsor is Doodle Pantry, who provided the DT with images including this vintage auto. I colored the antique auto with Copics, and finished the card with BoBunny timepiece dp, along with early espresso and cherry cobbler card stock. I added 2 different coordinating baker's twines and a Spellbinders fancy tag for the sentiment. The inside reads "but the driver is antique." LOL A friend of mine already bought this card for someone who's turning 60 in November :)
If you want to play along with our challenge, you'll have 2 weeks to link your masculine creation right here, and as always, our sponsor will be offering a very generous prize to one randomly drawn lucky winner! Have fun creating, and thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check the other beautiful sample cards from my DT members too!
Have a fantastic Monday!

Sketch Challenges

Here's my card for the Stars & Stamps #93 sketch challenge found here. I'm in Valentine mode now since I've sent all my Christmas cards to OWH already. For this one, I used all BoBunny dp, adding a punched heart for interest and a tiny pink heart brad on the sentiment panel. The pink panel was embossed with little hearts, and the sentiment is from the SNSS Christmas tag clear stamp set. For this one, I let the DP have the whole show!
This is last week's sketch #92 that I never got around to finishing. The dp is also by BoBunny, and for this one I embossed the heart with a square lattice ef, and then added a tiny punched heart & key, done with a MS punch. I used a stamp-a-ma-jig for the sentiment and STILL got it crooked. DUH! Maybe the recipient won't even notice that after there are some lovey dovey words written inside :)
That's it for me today - take good care and have a great weekend! My DH is outside clearing/shoveling the snow we got yesterday. I can't wait to see what old man winter brings us next!!

Edit - the embossing folder I used on the first card is from a Sizzix Textured impressions set called the curlique and hearts set. here is what it looks like.

Your Friendship

This card was made for the SNSSIC10 inspirational challenge found here. I'm still drooling over the photo used to inspire this card! Go ahead - click the link & check it out for yourself & you'll understand what I mean :)
I'm also entering this card into the Speedy the Cat's Friend's challenge #79 to use your scraps. I made a promise to myself to stop hoarding my retired dp, so I'm keeping that promise with this card. You might recognize this retired Apple Cider dp from SU! in this card. In addition to a half-used pack, I also have a pack of it that I've never opened yet, can you imagine? It's a disease I tell ya!!
I used scraps of dp and card stock in random widths and adhered them to a piece of scrap card stock, then cut it with the top note die. Afterward, I embossed it using a Sizzix Snow Caps ef. The background was done with a retired Stitched stamp using pumpkin pie ink. The sentiment panel was done with a labels eighteen die, and stamped with a sentiment from the SNSS Your Friendship set. I went around the edges with an orange marker for interest.
I'm hunkered down here in PA, waiting for the few inches of snow that's in our forecast for later today. I guess that means more stamp time for me, along with a big pot of home-made chicken pot pie! Life is good :)
Have a fantastic Saturday and thanks for dropping in to say "hi!"

SNSDC26 Harvest Time

The SNSDC26 challenge this week is to make a card depicting harvest time - add some fruits and/or vegetables. I always think of pumpkins at this time of year, so I'm using this wonderful SNSS pumpkin digi image called pumpkin patch. I colored it with Copics and die cut it using Spellbinders labels four, and sponged it with pale orange ink while it was still in the die. I added an early espresso labels ten die cut mat underneath that was embossed with a TH wood grain ef, and added a final layer of green card stock made with the top note die. I added some retired SU! dp, and a few brads, and finished this off with a little ribbon tied into a bow using the bow-easy. I used a slot punch to make the opening for the ribbons on the brown mat.
I hope you'll check out my fellow design team members creations over on the SNSDC blog found here! There's always a lot of inspiration to be found there! When uploading your creations to the galleries, be sure to tag them with SNSDC26!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday!

Crazy4Cocoa & Friends C4C21 - Tag it!

Hello, happy Thursday and welcome to another Crazy4Cocoa & Friends challenge. This week the challenge is to "tag it" - to add some sort of a tag. I'm using this brand new digi Cocoa's candy apple image from SNSS and he was colored with Copics. I made a caramel apple and added some glossy accents to the caramel for some shine. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket, and the tag was made with my Cricut and stamped with a sentiment from the Christmas Tags clear stamp set. The ribbon is real red from SU! and so is the gold cording on the tag.
If you find time to play along with us, I hope you'll grab your Cocoa images or any Rhubarb or cute critter image from SNSS and have some fun with tags. When uploading to the galleries, please tag your creations with C4C21.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Thursday!

Halloween

I've had this card done for a while and forgot to post it, so I'll share it with you today. The image is Pumpkin Magic and it's a digi from Robyn's Fetish. I colored it with Copics and added some yellow fluorescent color to the inside to look like candle glow. I used an EK border punch for those little pumpkins and some dp from my stash.
Quick and easy and it's a happy Halloween card without being too frightening for the wee ones:)
I hope your Monday is going well for you! Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treat Holders

I made these treat holders for my DGD's and just packed them up filled with goodies for Halloween and they're shipping to Indiana tomorrow. First up is a coffin box & I found the template and directions here on the Martha Stewart website. After this was filled with M&M's, I tied it all up with some gold cording, but I didn't take a photo afterward :) I has spider punches all over done with a MS punch and they were colored with fluorescent Copics. Also used on this was a MS goo punch for the green goo all around the edges.
Here's a view of it closed up.
And here's a little back-pack I made for my other DGD. The directions for this can be found here on SCS. I used a retired SU set for the images, coloring them with fluorescent Copics. This took a while to put together, but the end result was so worth it!
I wrote her name with a versamark pen and embossed it with clear ep, then chalked over it with yellow chalk. Both flaps have velcro closures, with the top holding some cherry twizzlers, and the bottom pocket is full of little stickers that those tiny hands just seem to love :)
Thanks for stopping by today - I wish you all a fantastic Sunday!

OWH Fund Raiser Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Operation Write Home Fund Raiser Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Cathy's blog, then you're on the right track. You can always start at the beginning on Jan's blog if you get lost along the way.

Today I'm sharing 3 cards with you, and all of the images can be found at K'K Designs with special pricing until November 1st. This is "snow thankful" and he was colored with Copics, matted with embossed red & white mats and dressed up with a little sparkly ribbon and liquid applique. I used 2 black mini brads for his eyes to make them more defined.
This image is "Kolar's Care Package" and he was colored with Copics too. I created "wall paper" with copics and a tiny star stamp. The floor was also done with Copics, using a clear blending Copic to etch the design in the floor. The "bow" was a mistake! Ha! I tied the ribbon around the image, and when I snipped the ends, my scissors were behind both layers, so I ended up with this unique bow. I kinda like it now that I've looked at it for a while, KWIM? It was the last of my yellow ribbon, so it will stay as it is :) I added a cute dog bone clip for fun.
And this image is "Eagle" which is also available from K'NK designs for special pricing through November 1st. I used this for an "any hero" card and sent it off to OWH along with some Christmas cards for our troops
I hope you can help us out with the shipping costs of getting our cards into the hands of our military serving overseas by purchasing one, or a bundle of these adorable digi images from K'nK. If you don't need any stamps right now, donations can be made to OWH with the paypal button you'll find here. Every donation makes a difference, regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem!

During this blog hop, K'nK Designs is giving away a prize package to 2 lucky winners!! All you need to do is comment on the blogs in this hop, and your name will go into the drawing! The winners will be announced on Monday October 24th, so be sure to leave some love along the way as you hop along!

Thanks for hanging in with me for this long post, and now your next stop on the hop is Ginnie.

If you want to explore on your own, here's the complete list of blogs in the hop!

Thanks so much for your help!!

SNSDC25 Make a Shaped Card

Welcome to another SweetnSassy digi challenge! This week's #25 challenge is to create a shaped card. In my last SU! order, my demo made a little thank-you card similar to this one, and I wanted to make one because they're so cute, so I made a couple of these with matching lined envelopes. I used a butterfly die and cut scraps of concord crush cardstock and embossed them with various embossing folders. I die-cut a smaller butterfly from DP for the center and added a gemstone.
This is a digi sentiment from the True Friend sentiments set. I printed it first, and then cut the butterfly out and added it to the center with a matching gemstone like the one on the front of the card.
Here's one I made a little differently. This one has a folded center & back, while a separate front was attached to keep the shape of the butterfly wings at the top.
I used 2 clear stamp sets for the inside of this one instead of digis, but this just shows the versatility you have when making these tiny cards!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I can't wait to see your shaped card creations! Be sure and check out the SNSDC blog for my fellow DT creations too!

C4C20 Make it Sparkle!

Hello and welcome to the Crazy4Cocoa and friends challenge #20. This week the challenge is to add some sparkle to your cards. You can use glitter, bling, glossy accents, or any other medium that adds sparkle. I'm using Rhubarb's Cupcake for my card and I added some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter by using Scor-tape for the strips and some tacky glue on the cupcake. I used some retired BG two-scoops dp and some Bazzill card stock in some cheerful patterns and colors. Rhubarb was colored with Copics and the tab punch and word window punches were used for the sentiment.
If you're playing along with us, please tag your sparkly creations with C4C20 when uploading to the galleries so we can find your cards!
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Saying Thank You!

The mid-week throwdown over at the S&S blog is to create a thank-you card. I pulled out a pack of retired Parisian Breeze paper and made 3 cards for the challenge. They're simple to make, go together quickly, and I think they look pretty nice. These were already sent in my last box of OWH cards, along with the Christmas cards - since the deadline for the shippers to receive them is October 31st.
This card was made with another adorable K'nK designs digi image I received recently, so I made a card for my next OWH box. For this one I used a circle punched with a Fiskars punch, along with the SU! tag punches. The sentiment is by K'nK. The OWH benefit fundraiser being sponsored by K'nK designs continues through the weekend with a lot of cute digi images being offered as a bundle, or separately. The money that you spend for these digis is going to be donated to OWH to help cover the cost of shipping Christmas cards to our troops serving overseas. The estimated cost will be $13,000, so every little bit helps. If you aren't a card maker and want to donate to help this great organization, you can donate through PayPal right here at the OWH website.
That's it for me today, so thanks for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!

Fetch A Sketch

This is sketch #9 over at the Fetch A Sketch challenge blog and I made 2 cards for this challenge.
First up, I used this cute digi image from K'nK who is sponsoring a benefit fund raiser for OWH this week. This "Snow Thankful" image is being offered at a special price only until November 1st, so check this post for the details. I used some Memory Box dp and 2 embossing folders for the side panels. The image was colored with Copics, and I added 3 snowflake stickers around the main image. I also added a touch of liquid applique around the cuffs
Here's another card I made for sketch #9 from Fetch A Sketch. For this one I used SU's Contempo Christmas, embossing both the image and sentiment in gold. The dp is from BoBunny and I added 3 nailhead stickers around the image panel. The card stock is vintage cream by PTI.
That's it for me today but thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

A Very Special Benefit

Hello everyone! Today is a very special day because it kicks off a benefit for Operation Write Home!! For those of you who aren't familiar with OWH, they're a non-profit group that collects handmade cards (over a million so far!!) to send to our soldiers deployed overseas. Some of them are "Any Hero" cards that we write in to say "thanks for serving" but most of the cards are left blank so the soldiers can send them back to their families and friends stateside. It's really a fantastic organization, but in order to send the thousands of cards that will go out during the holidays, they could really use some extra funds for shipping. That is where two digi designers would like to help. Katlyn, of K'nK designs, has teamed up with Deedee Anderson to offer 7 digi sets that are perfect for your OWH cards - or any cards for that matter! All of the proceeds for these sets (minus the paypal fees, of course) will be donated to OWH. Every bit of it! You can buy the sets separately or in a bundle. By purchasing one or all of these digi sets you'll be helping to fund the estimated $13,000 in shipping costs to get these cards into the hands of our soldiers serving overseas. The stamps will be available from today through November 1st.
Here is a price list and you can check out all the details at K'nK designs.

Single digi set - $2
K'nK Designs digi bundle - $6 (four sets)
Deedee Anderson's digi bundle - $4 (three sets)
Complete digi bundle - $10 (Deedee's & K'nK's - 7 sets)

Now for the details of my card. I'm using an adorable image from K'n K designs called "Patriotic Pickles." Isn't it cute?! I colored the image with Copics and added a few more stars on the side where I inserted the sentiment. I added even more stars to the background by using a CB embossing folder with stars. This will be a great card for my next OWH box, and it can be used as a regular card or even an "any hero" card.
I hope you'll join us in this fund raiser for a very worthy cause. Our soldiers are giving their all for us every day, and we can all play a small part in giving back to them through this very special benefit.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

A Gift of Nature

Happy Monday and welcome to another Stamps R Us Challenge. This week our challenge is being brought to you by Heart Song Designs and our theme is "Nature's Gifts." I'm using this pretty "Cardinal in a Tree" image for my card. I colored it with Copics, added a layered punched border, some BoBunny dp, a scrap of embossed white card stock, and a piece of ribbon with some black Kaiser pearls.
Here's another Heart Song Designs image, and this one is called "Acorn Wreath." Again, coloring was done with Copics, and I used Spellbinders circles and scalloped circles, cutting out the center portion to add the sentiment. A little embossing, a leaf brad, and a little ribbon finished this card.
I hope you'll find time to join us in this fun challenge. As always, you'll have two weeks to make your card, and there's always a generous prize for a randomly drawn winner, so good luck!
Be sure and stop by the Stamps R Us blog and see all my fellow DT members beautiful creations too!
Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!

More!

I found a little time to work on cards today, so I finished the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #91 found here. I decided to let go of some of my all-time favorite dp, and this is Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding. I just looooove these little tree images! I had one 6x6 piece left, so now that I've cut into it, Figgy will soon be a thing of the past........sigh :) I tweaked the sentiment a wee bit from the original sketch, but this looks a bit more balanced. The sentiment panel was done with 2 punches from an EK punch. I punched a SU! large oval out of the center on the top piece, and adhered it with pop dots after stamping the sentiment on the bottom portion. The sentiment is by SNSS and was done in Ranger peeled paint ink.
Here's a close up so you can see how it was done. I added a couple punched ferns done with a MS punch, and then dotted here and there with liquid pearls. This is another design I'm going to use again, because it's flat enough to mail using just one stamp!
That's going to do it for me today. I've got to get some treat containers packed up and ready to mail off to the grands in IN for Halloween, so thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Christmas and a Card for a Queen

I thought I'd share a quick and easy design for some Chrismtas cards I've been making. For this, I used Spellbinders small scalloped squares and 2 snowflake punches along with some enchanted evening card stock, white embossing powder and a few tiny Geo Sparklers. This design looks great in lots of different colors, and it doesn't require extra postage!
I made this card for the QFTD82 challenge over on SCS where Joan Ervin was chosen for this week's queen. I cased this card from her gallery and made a few subtle changes. I used the SU! fabulous flowers image, stamping with versamark on pink vellum, then I stamped it right on the crumb cake card stock and embossed both with white ep. I layered the vellum over the image on the cardstock, and added a few Kaiser blush pearls. The sentiment is from SU!'s sincere salutations. A little bit of Walmart Ribbon, and this was done!
I may be back a little later with another card if I have time to make one. Take care and enjoy your Sunday!

SNSDC24 A Recipe Challenge

Hello & Happy Friday everyone! I'm back with another card for the SNSDC24 found here. The challenge this week is to use a recipe of black, 2 designer papers, and 3 embellishments.Check, check, & check! I'm using this cute SNSS Rhubarb Picking Apples image and paired him with some BG dp. I added 3 shiny brads for embellishments and a piece of red ribbon. The sentiment is also by SNSS and came from the Valentine's Day Greetings set.
If you're going to play along with us, feel free to use any digi image. It doesn't have to be a SNSS, but we really enjoy seeing you use them when you do! Please tag your creations with SNSDC24 when uploading to the galleries!
Thanks for the visit, and I wish you all a wonderful Friday!

Think Pink in Support of BCA Month!

This week's C4C19 challenge is to use pink on your cards in support of breast care awareness month. Take it a step further and send your card to a cancer patient or survivor to show your support. I'm also entering this card into the WT344 challenge over on SCS which is to use pink, pink pink on your cards. I'm using this SNSS Cocoa Supports the Cause digi image that was colored with Copics and cut out with Nestabilities. I added some crumb cake and bazzill pink cardstock, along with a CB embossing folder and spellbinders ribbon tag. I added a touch of pink velvet ribbon along with some taffeta ribbon tied into a bow. The sentiment was computer generated.
If you play along with us, please tag your creations with C4C19 when uploading to the galleries!
I'll see you soon with more, so have a great Thursday!

Fabulous Together!

I made this card for 2 challenges. First up is the SC354 sketch challenge, and it's also for the MFPSPEEDYTV challenge #2 to create an anniversary card. I flipped the sketch on it's side and embossed the doily image with white ep on espresso cardstock. I used a retired SU! stitched backgrounder in cherry cobbler on the crumb cake panel and matted with cherry cobbler cardstock. Sentiment is by G Studio, and the punch is by EK. DP is holly berry bouquet by SU, hearts were punched using the SU! owl punch, and the tiny tag punches were stamped and embossed using an Inkadinkado stamper. They spell out "fabulous" and "together" and were tied onto the wasabi ribbon with gold cording.
That will do it for me for today, but as always - I thank you for stopping by!

Just Jinglin' Along

I've been in a Christmas card mood lately, so while the feeling lasts, I'm getting a few more Christmas cards made for my next OWH box. The deadline for getting those Christmas cards to OWH is the end of the month, so there's no time like the present to finish them up.
I'm using Soft Stone cardstock by PTI & Cherry Cobbler by SU! along with Jingle dp by LilyBee. For this, I adhered strips of dp and cardstock to a scrap piece of cardstock, and then cut it using the top note die. After cutting, I embossed the entire piece with a sizzix snowcap ef. The snowflakes were stamped in the background using coordinating colors. The ornament punch was embossed with white, and the scalloped circle was edged with a gold paint pen while still in the die.
This was done with a stamp set I won recently from Julie over at the Stars & Stamps birthday bash. It's by recollections and was done using cherry cobbler and baja breeze inks. Again, I'm using dp from the Jingle pack. I just love those little trees :) This one was quick and easy, and I'll be making several more of this design.
That's it for me today - I hope you're all enjoying some beautiful weather like we're having here in PA. The monsoon returns tomorrow, but we had a fantastic week, so I won't complain.
See ya soon!

Sketch Challenge #90

Here's my card for the sketch#90 challenge found here at the Stars and Stamps blog. It's a very simple sketch, but as usual, I added layers instead of making a simple card. I guess I just can't help myself :)
I used some Soft Sky dp along with some Jingle dp from LilyBee, and used a little cherry cobbler card stock too. The embossed panel was done with a sizzix snow cap ef, and the stamps are from SNSS Christmas tags, done in cherry cobbler ink. I used a long-hoarded precious piece of soft sky ribbon with the Spellbinders fancy label die cut and that was really hard for me to use! LOL I LOVE soft sky, and have trouble letting go of all the soft sky product I have left since it was retired. What can I say - I get so attached to my favorite things :)
I hope this can be used by our military with the sentiment I added to the bottom. Some companies may want to send a group card here and there, so I thought I'd try one or two and see if there's a need for them.
It's gorgeous here in PA today with some unseasonable mild temps and I love it! The windows are open and there's a fresh breeze blowing that just makes me feel good! Here's wishing all of you a great Sunday as well!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!

This is one of two digi images I won recently from Michelle Perkett Studios by playing in the OWH Stars & Stamps birthday bash. I really had fun coloring this image with Copics, and it's already got the sentiment with the image, so all I had to do was print, color and make a card! I added a mat of real red and embossed it with the Happy Birthday folder, and added some gingham ribbon! Done! Viola! I'll definitely be using this image again and again!
Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a wonderful weekend!

SNSDC23 Make a Card for Baby

The challenge this week over on the SNSDC is to create a card for baby! I'm using this cute Rhubarb's Blocks image, and I colored the bear pink to make a baby girl card. The background dp is a scrap from my scrapbooking days so I have no idea who makes it, but it sure is cute! I made a frame using labels 2 dies and some DCWV glittered card stock in a pale aqua color that perfectly matches the dp. The pink is by Bazzill and was embossed with the SU! square lattice ef. I added a sheer ribbon bow in pink along with a little pacifier charm that I just love!
I hope you'll find time to grab your digi images and play along with us this week and make something for baby. You don't have to use SNSS digis' but we sure like to see them when you do! Be sure and click the link above to see the amazing creations the SNSDC has created for this challenge! When uploading your cards, please tag with the keyword SNSDC23.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

2 Challenge Cards

I've completed a couple more challenge cards I wanted to share with you today. First up is this origami folded Christmas tree card I made for the Stars & Stamps mid-week throwdown found here. The challenge is to create a Christmas card and mail it to OWH before the deadline of Oct. 31st. I followed Jan's great tutorial for making this tree, and went a little crazy with a gold paint pen! I find that tracing around the inside edges of a die cut (with the image inside) using a marker of some sort not only defines the image, but at the same time it eliminates the need for a mat which means lower mailing costs. I used a labels eighteen for the tree background, and used some BoBunny scraps of paper to create the tree. I doodled just about everything with the gold paint pen, but I was happy with the way it turned out.
I made this card for the WT343 challenge to use some sort of a hot beverage or container for a hot beverage on our cards. For the background, I used random strips of retired SU! dp, adhered them to a scrap of card stock, and cut it using the top note die. After cutting, I embossed the image with a SU! square lattice ef. The image was cut with a labels eighteen die, and I drew around the edges with a black marker to define it, because adding a larger mat would have covered up most of the background. The image is SNSS Rhubarb's cuppa joe, and the sentiment is from Cup of Cocoa. The rest is pretty much blah blah, so if you need any details, shoot me an email and I'll fill you in!
Have a fantastic Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

C4C18 I'll take Trips!

Happy Thursday and welcome to another Crazy4Cocoa & Friends challenge! This week the challenge is to add something to your card in triplicate! Add 3 of the same thing, like buttons, brads, punches, flowers, etc. For my card I used 3 panels of BoBunny dp for the background. I used this cute Rhubarb's Candycane digi image and colored him with Copics. I added some dazzling diamonds to the little bow on his candycane for a little sparkle. The sentiment is from Beary Christmas and was printed on the dp before the card was assembled.
I hope you'll play along with us this week, because I know you all have 3 of something you can add to your cards! As always, please use the keyword C4C18 when uploading to the galleries.
I'll be back soon with more!

Happy Wednesday!

Here's my card for this week's Sweet Stop sketch SSS128 found here. They're doing a blast from the past and using an older sketch for the challenge. I used a blast from the past from my stash by using wild wasabi and purely pomegranate cardstock. The image is by all night media, stamped in wasabi ink and touched up with a Tombow marker for the trunk. I dotted the tree using a matching Tombow marker and also did some faux stitching. The sentiment is from SNSS Christmas tags, and I used the same marker to add the dots. A few mini brads finished this simple card for my Christmas stash.
This is for the SC353 sketch challenge found here. This color combination still works for me and probably always will. I used a sizzix ef for the background, and a G studio stamp for the sentiment. All I had to do was add some ribbon, a bow, and a heart brad and this card was done in a flash!
Ok, the SUN is actually making an appearance in PA today, so I'm going to go out and run some errands. Have a great Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Christmas is in the Air

EEEK! The sun is shining here in PA, but don't say it too loud or it will disappear again I'm sure! LOL We've had practically a solid month of rain!
This card is for the Stars & Stamps sketch challenge #89 found here. I embossed the deer image with gold on a piece of BoBunny dp and added some pearl pen accents to the antlers. With the photo, I either got a clear embossed image without the pearls showing, or I got the pearls showing and the embossed image nearly invisible! Ah well, I decided this would be the photo I'd use. You'll have to take my word for it that it looks better IRL. I used an embossing folder I won from Circle B Enterprises by playing along with one of the S&S challenges recently. (thanks Veronica) The pearl pen accents also came from a prize package I won from Julie by playing another S&S challenge during the birthday bash. {thanks Julie} If you've never tried a pearl pen, you don't know what you're missing! This thing works so well and really dresses up your cards!
All the dp is by BoBunny and the sentiment was done with cherry cobbler and my Quickutz.

I'm entering this card into Speedy the Cat's Friends challenge #85 to use polka dots. I used some dp from the Jingle pad by Lily Bee and paired it with some Baja Breeze card stock. I embossed the polka dot panel with a CB snowflakes ef. The image & sentiment are by SNSS and were done on a labels 18 die. While it was still in the die, I went around the edge with a silver glitter pen. I lightly colored the image with pastel colors, and then popped up the darker colored inchie for interest. I added a piece of polka dot ribbon from my stash and this was done. I thought this was the perfect image to send to OWH, so that's where this card is going.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're enjoying your week so far.

Stamps R Us Fall Theme Challenge

Welcome to another Stamps R Us challenge where we're doing fall-themed cards. Robyn's Fetish is our sponsor this week and as always, there's a generous prize randomly drawn for one lucky winner. I'm using an image called "Happy Fall" and I colored it with Copics. I added some scoring to the really rust mat beneath the image, and added a border of glittered dp along the bottom. I added a bit of glitter to the pumpkins and flowers and the final touch was a copper leaf brad in the corner.
I hope you'll play along with us and make some fall-themed cards. You'll have 2 weeks to get your entries in and you could win a generous prize for your efforts! Be sure to check the Stamps R Us blog to see the beautiful creations from my DT members!
Happy Fall Y'All! Thanks for stopping by :)

WCMD Christmas Card

I made this card for the Ellen Hutson CLASSroom challenge EHWCMD2. The challenge is to make a Christmas card. I used a SU! Christmas stamp set called Contempo Christmas, stamping the ornaments on red card stock and embossing with white ep. I added some silver cording to attach them to the branches that were done with a MS fern punch and some scraps of green. The background was embossed with a CB swiss dots ef, and the sentiment is a silver sticker.
I've been making cards for WCMD, so hopefully I'll have more to post later on today!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're getting some cards made too!
