OWH's Stars & Stamps challenge #174 and this is my take on it...
I love this Lawn Fawn Valentine set and I think it makes great cards for every day as well as Valentine's day. I'm using some retired SU! dsp I've been hoarding, along with some vanilla cardstock. I tweaked the sketch just a tad and added tiny hearts because it just looked better than a strip of vertical cardstock. The embossing folder is CB decorative tiles and the ribbon was from my stash. The image was colored with Copics.
I still have half a pack of this pretty SU! Haiku paper left, so I decided to try Seongsook Duncan's one-sheet wonder tutorial found on
her blog, and on the Stars & Stamps tutorial page
here.
Here's one design that shows the embellishments I used, including a die-cut flower matching those in the design of the dsp, along with a die-cut circle and a punched flower. The sentiment was done with SU! teeny tiny wishes, and punches. I attached the flowers with a tiny brad to the card front, and then adhered the card front to the base. Here are the 8 cards I made out of one sheet of paper...
I used old olive, and some dark orange card stock for the die cuts, flowers & mats and an assortment of brads from my stash.
