Christmas Trees

I used some retired dsp from SU! for the background and trees. The trees were done with a SU! punch, and the sentiment is from Recollections. The hills were done with a Lawn Fawn stitched hillside die on some vanilla cardstock, while the Memory Box star was done with some gold glittered cardstock from SU!.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Tuesday!

Two for Thursday

While playing along with Darnell's NBUS challenge #5, I browsed through her prize sponsor's blogs and found a place called the "Happy Little Stampers" and immediately knew I wanted to start playing along with their challenges. There are 3 different challenges each month, and this card is for their September Sketch challenge.

I decided to make a tic-tac-toe grid after looking at the sketch for a while. My brain always seems to lean toward evenly balancing any given image. Maybe it's my Libra birth sign (balanced scales) that pushes me in this direction? I used snippets of primary colors and cut them with a SU! bitty banner punch, and did the X's and O's with my Quickutz. The sentiment is from Sweet'n'Sassy Stamps. Since I used snippets to put this card together, I'm also sharing it over at Pixie's Snippets Playground #194.

The Happy Little Stampers September Christmas challenge is to use "holly", while the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is "die crazy", so this card will be shared with both challenges. There's holly in the embossed background, plus I used a Tim Holtz Bigz die to cut the holly & branch, adding some crackle glossy accents for a fun look. The Merry Christmas die is by Kaisercraft and makes use of some pearlized paper for a little extra shimmer.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day!
