I made this card for a great guy in our neighborhood who is always giving us a helping hand when we need it. I used papers gifted to me by my friend Mary Anne which are car/race themed and made a different fold that I'm not even sure has a name? It's similar to a gatefold, but then the flaps are angled and folded outward again. I cut two panels for each lower side and used the reverse side of the dsp for some contrast. The medallion was created with Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle dies. Here it is closed...
And here is what it looks like opened. I used a Clear Arts Stamp set for the image and sentiment and the medallion on the front, and colored the car with Spectrum Noir markers, adding a checkered flag brad to the top panel.
I also made a matching larger coin envelope to hold lottery tickets and used some checkered ribbon to tie around the top. The birthday die was also borrowed from Mary Anne and placed on a scalloped circle die cut to match the card.
I'm entering this into the Double D Challenge which is "Pop a Wheelie" or use wheels on your card.
Also linking up to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #220 - Different shaped or folded cards (thanks Darlene)
Thanks for checking in today and I wish you a wonderful weekend.
