Happy Mother's Day

It's a few days early, but happy Mother's day to all those moms, grandmoms and great grandmoms out there! I hope you all have a great day filled with lots of love and appreciation from your families.
I used my Altenew Dahlia stencils to make this card, using 2 different colors of distress inks - Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. I used a Gina Marie Designs Venetian Labels die set to cut the sentiment panel, and added some of her pretty pink gemstones to finish this card.

I'm sharing this with the following challenges:

The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge - April Showers Bring May Flowers

SOS#469 - what a difference you've made in my life (card for Mom)

As You See it Challenge #274 - the meaning of Mama (fill in the blank)
(my response is "having one.")

Thanks for stopping by and again, wishing all the moms out there a wonderful and happy Mother's Day!

Easter Basket

I always give little holiday treats to the people who work at our local bank since we've dealt with them for many years.
This year I made an Easter basket that holds little chick & duck boxes that I filled with a few small chocolate treats. The basket was created with an old file shared by GinaK designs and was made with her bubble-gum cardstock. I used a few stitched ovals and stamped a (r) SU! Bunny, adding blue to his eye and liquid applique to his tail. I added a strip of ribbon to the handle and attached a MFT tiny tag along with a die-cut little bunny from GMD.

Here are the boxes of goodies I filled it with. You can tell by the feet which are ducks and which are chicks. Some are holding tiny Easter baskets, while some have just broken from their shells. I used the Lawn Fawn tiny gift box die along with an add-on set for the chicks and ducks. I just love making things like this and in spite of it being time-consuming, it's always fun to see the end results.

I will enter this into the following challenges:

As Always, thank you for taking time to stop by. I wish you a fabulous day!

Quick Love Card

I made this card after being inspired by a sketch and a challenge to use leftover scraps to make a card in less than ten minutes. I usually fuss over things, but this one was done in about 6 minutes. All I did was cut the SU! reversible designer paper into 4 pieces and adhere the die-cut pieces I found in my stash! The letter "I" was cut with a Quickutz ( I have a little box of them as they cut 2 letters (caps and lower case) at a time, while the word "Love" was previously made (and never used) with a PTI die and some red glitter paper. The word "You" is from a SSS "Love You" die set that I also found in my snippet box, so I made a quick card that I may just keep for the hubby for valentine's day.

I'll enter this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments. Take care of each other and have a pleasant weekend!

Mother's Day Card

I was recently inspired by this card Liz made, and wanted to create a rainbow card of my own. I pulled out my PTI Center Stage Cover Plate die and made a cut with black and other snippets of assorted colors to make the background. The flower was made with a Sunflower Stem die from SSS and different colors of cardstock, while the sentiment was done with SU! punches and their Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I'm sharing this with the As You See It Challenge #223 which is
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Thanks for the visit, and I hope you are all coping with life in a positive way. We're trying our best here, but it's not getting any easier! Take good care and stay well.
