Happy Heart Day

I made this card with remnants from my stash that have been around for quite some time. The big February panel is a die-cut from a sheet of calendar months cardstock I bought at Tuesday Morning when they were still in business. I added a stamped circle on it and inserted a tiny red heart along with some red enamel dots. The heart dsp is by Lawn Fawn, the heart border punch is by Martha Stewart, and the happy heart day punched element is by SU!. The tiny bear in the corner is by SSS and the washi tapes have been in my stash forever.

I'm sharing this card with the Alphabet Challenge - X is for X-tra hearts

I hope everyone is enjoying the extra day in February this leap year. I know my sister-in-law is enjoying it. Today is her birthday and I think she's still a teenager as she only has a birthday once every 4 years 😉

Thanks for stopping by and I wish everyone the best possible day.

St. Patrick's Day Card

I rummaged through my large assortment of embossing folders and found this Spellbinders M-Bossabilities that I haven't used in ages. It's called "Letterpress" and I thought it would make a good background for some shamrocks to make a St. Patrick's day card. I used Taylored Expressions dies with 3 different colors of green cardstock to make the shamrocks, and then used a paper punch with some gold mirror card to make the centers. The inside looks like this:

I will share my card with these challenges:

Winter Frost Christmas Card

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card made with some non-traditional colors. I used an unbranded die along with some SU! long-retired designer paper and matching cardstock. I added a few blue sparkly stickers along with the snowflakes because they added just the right amount of sparkle.

I'm sharing this with...

Maureen has turned the reins over to Helen to keep this challenge going and I wish both of these ladies nothing but the best as changes impact their lives.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great Monday.

Thinking of You

I had some remnants of a Pebbles paper pad I wanted to use up, so I created this thinking of you card. The sentiment was a printed one that came with the paper pad, so I die-cut it with a stitched square and placed another stitched square behind it. The vertical panel was made with strips of papers from the pack placed side-by-side and I added a die-cut scalloped border on the side. The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots ef and I added 2 matching enamel dots from Taylored Expressions to complete this card.

I'm sharing with:

A/G Embossing with a twist of squares and/or circles

the Allsorts Challenge #796 - Things that Fly or A/G
I went with the A/G option

the Double D Challenge - use Patterned Paper

Thanks for taking the time to visit. I wish everyone a great weekend!

Keep smiling 😊

Sending Hugs

I made this card recently with a Lawn Fawn image and some strips of designer paper. I added a die-cut stitched sentiment panel to send hugs and added 3 tiny die cut hearts in black and red for accents. I think that's all this card needs to send hugs.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day!

Birthday Wishes

Today I have a card put together with snippets of papers and cardstock bits. I used an assortment of dies and punches to create the pail filled with flowers, stems, and a bow. The flower centers were dotted with black Nuvo drops and the butterflies (cut with a very old SU! die) were dotted with tiny gemstones. I used leftover strips of dsp from Sunny Studios and the SNSS sentiment was stamped and colored with glaze pens to add a little more color.

I'll share this with the Snippets Playground #474 since it was entirely made from snippets

I used 5 of the six colors to choose from,
included borders, birthday wishes, and of course added 3 butterflies.

birds, blooms, butterflies with this inspirational photo

Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day is a good one.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here are a couple Valentine cards I made and sent this year sitting side by side. They're slightly different with coloring and placement of that little pink heart on the sentiments.

The backgrounds were done with a Kat Scrappiness stitched heart cover plate die and the big white heart was cut with a Simon Says Stamp die. The Gerda Steiner mouse image was stamped, colored with Copics and a red glaze pen, then fussy cut and added to the large heart. The sentiment is also made by Gerda Steiner. Those little pink heart stickers are from Taylored Expressions. I put one on the right side....

and one on the left. This little mouse has a little more grey color than the one above but I think he's a cutie in any color.

I will enter this card in the following challenges:

The Critter Crazy Challenge #83 - A/G featuring a Critter

That's going to do it for me today but thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy Valentine's Day filled with lots of love!

Birthday Number 7

A friend of mine has a grandson who will soon be celebrating his 7th birthday, so I made this card for him using some bright colors and a die-cut number 7. I pulled out some older Nestabilities dies to cut the red and yellow panels and then used a stitched circle die to place the 7 on. I added a few matching mini brads to match. The side panel was done with a SSS hexagon border die that I've had for ages. I die-cut strips of colorful cardstock too and inserted the negatives into the little hexagon holes to add more color and fun. The sentiment was cut twice and layered for a little dimension. I like how it turned out and I hope this little boy likes it too :)

Sliding in by the seat of my pants just before closing to share with

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great Tuesday.

More Valentines with Alfie

Here are a couple more Valentines I made this year with snippets of heart designer paper, a white paper doily, a Sunny Studios embossing folder with tiny hearts, and a Unity image of Alfie holding his heart in his hands. I colored Alfie with Copics and used a red glaze pen to color the heart he's holding. I added 3 heart brads in red, silver and grey along with a darker grey MFT notched border die and added a computer generated sentiment.

This is a similar version but for this one I used pink, red, and silver heart-shaped brads, and added a stamped sentiment that was placed on a Kat Scrappiness stitched die-cut word panel.

Valentine's Recipe Card

Sorry for the wonky photo, I took this photo on a cloudy day and couldn't seem to get rid of the shadows. This 5x7 card began with a herringbone background that was made with strips of SU! retired designer papers. I stamped the Penny Black Valentine recipe card along with the little mug and pot as well as a Unity Alfie stamped image, coloring with Copics and a red glaze pen. I fussy cut the mug and pot and placed them on die-cut stitched circles of silver mirri card. I backed the 2 images with light grey and dark grey cardstock and added a few glittered punched hearts done with 2 SU! mini punches. The heart borders were done with a Martha Stewart punch and I added pink hearts in the negative spaces. I added some silver sparkly washi tape and embossed the top and bottom of the card base with a (r) mini hearts embossing folder from SU!. This Valentine took a while to put together but it's worth it because it's been sent to a couple who will soon be celebrating their 50th anniversary.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Cardz4Guyz #340 - Love

Try it on Tuesday - Hearts and/or Flowers

Valentine's Day Card

Here's a simple Valentine I made from leftover strips of designer paper from an old SU! paper pad. I took a scrap of white cardstock and put adhesive all over the top, then snipped the designer paper into random shapes and sizes and added them to the adhesive, leaving spaces around all the edges. Next I sprinkled silver embossing powder over the whole piece and heat set it, then die cut it with a stitched heart die and placed it on top of a silver heart-shaped doily. I added the Simon Says Stamp little die-cut bunny on top with a little red heart, added a sentiment and called this one done.

This will be my homework for the Snippets Playground Challenge #473.

Thanks for stopping by and have yourself a great Monday!

Birthday Balloons

I made this card some time ago and never posted it, so today it gets it's outing. It's done in my favorite colors of purple and was put together with mostly bits from my box of snippets. The embossed frame was a gift from someone and the birthday sentiment was made with a Kat Scrappiness die. The balloons were done with a Martha Stewart punch and I added bits of twine to them while the final touch was a few lavender gemstones.

I'm sharing this over at the Word Power #2 challenge where the sentiment is the focus of your card.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a great weekend!
