My friend Wendy is celebrating her birthday today and this is the card I sent her. I used a Gina Marie Designs Leaf Quilt die to put this card together. I used Lawn Fawn designer papers along with some off-white and aqua cardstock, adding a few clear gemstones and a pre-printed sentiment from SSS. When die-cutting all the elements, I used the negatives to create a 2nd card.
I know blue leaves aren't the "norm" but I was pleased with how these cards turned out. Soon we'll have leaves falling around here and they'll be brown in color, so I decided to brighten things up a bit. In the craft world, anything goes, right?
Here they are side-by-side.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day whatever you do!

Great choice of papers for these two pretty cards - in the craft world anything can be any colour. Call it artistic licence and you can get away with anything 😊
Wouldn't it be a more colorful world if the leaves would be all the colors of the rainbow. I think having blue leaves would be so beautiful...just like your cards! I love them both and the papers you used are so pretty. I know Wendy loved her card too!

A always think a tone on tone is so smart and this one really is lovely and such an effective focal die with the cut in detail.

Brilliant!!! LOVE your aqua leaves and the fact that both the cards are monochromatic!!! Artistic licence is wonderful, isn't it? :) There is no limit, only freedom into create! I'm sure that Wendy has loved your card so much, it's so sweet and cheerful! Great work with all the inlays and very well done for using all the leftovers! Hope to see other cards "out of norm" from you! :D
Sending big hugs and love, dear friend! Enjoy the Summer tail!
These are GORGEOUS! What beautiful papers to use with that die! Love them both!
This card is a real beauty, Carol!! It made me smile from ear to ear when I opened it and that envelope was just as beautiful as the card! I love how you showed both cards side by side! I am going to put this in a picture frame and hang in my stamp room....I love it so very much! Thank you for your kindness and heartfelt words. Your friendship means everything to me! Hugs~
These are so cool, Carol! I've been seeing more and more leaves of all colors under the rainbow and it's made me think, why haven't we been doing this all along?! Thank you for the brilliant aqua blue inspiration! Hugs, Darnell
