Planted with Love

A very generous and thoughtful friend sent me this adorable Inkadinkado stamp set a while ago and I was completely baffled as to how to use it, because my brain somehow only connects gnomes with Christmas. I finally bit the bullet and challenged myself to make a card with it and I'm pleased with how it turned out!
I colored the garden gnomes with Copics and glaze pens, adding some clear W.O.S. glitter pen to the fur around one gnome's cap. I added a tiny Lil Inker die-cut sun along with a tiny die-cut butterfly dotted with yellow glaze pens. The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, heat-embossed with white ep on a black die-cut stitched sentiment panel (first time I used the stitched sentiment die) and I stamped and colored a crow from the MFP stamp set and fussy cut him and placed him right on the sentiment panel. The background was created with 4 colorful strips of cardstock that were embossed with a retired SU! ef and I finally put this cute stamp set to use for a summer garden theme. The inside says "Sending you Sunshine."

I'll share this with the following challenges:

The Double D Great Outdoors Challenge - A/G with the great outdoors

The Triple B July Challenge - Blooms, Birds, Butterflies (1, 2, or all 3)

NBUS Challenge #52 - Never Before Used Schtuff (the stamped image and die-cut sentiment panel)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your garden is growing well this year. Have a great day!

Carol

Fabulous card Carol, I love the cute gnomes. It would be lovely if you would share your card over in the Allsorts Challenge where the optional theme is to use an embossing folder. xx

This is a great garden gnome card and a lovely stamp set. In the UK gnomes have long been garden symbols and it would seem that only in recent years have they become synonymous with Christmas. I've a feeling this idea migrated from Scandinavia but of course I could be totally wrong 🤣🤣. Whatever, they are cute anyway whatever their association.

Oh what a cute card. Loving the summertime garden gnomes!

But WHERE is your inky debossed card? Did you not rush off to fix yourself a drinkypoo and ink up an embossing folder yesterday? LOL! xxx

Oh Carol! How CUTE!! I'm very glad that you changed your mind about gnomes only for Christmas! These gardeners are just perfect for Summer and I would love having them to help me in my garden! LOL :D You coloured them so well and absolutely love the additions of the sun, the butterfly and that adorable crow! We rarely have crows here, only sometime in winter, when they run away by the cold of the other Northern zones and come here for a short vacation near the sea with a more cool weather. LOL
The colourful embossed panels look amazing, this is a great way to use snippets and as always you are so inspiring! I must absolutely lower the volume of my leftover piles and could do some panels ready to go in this way! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
You are loved from afar too :) Sending lots of hugs and positive vibes on your way, dear friend!

OMGosh Carol, I am so loving this card!!! It is so cute, so "sunny" and cheerful! That gnome stamp is adorable and you have colored these guys up perfectly. Love the garden theme too. You have made quite the sweet scene! The butterfly and sun just add to them. Love the embossed colorful strips too, fits so well with this card for sure. But what really go me was the sentiment with the crow, I don't know why but I just adore that! Too cute!! Hugs, Brenda
