I'm just sharing the last of the July 4th cards I made this year. This one is Sweet 'n Sassy's Cocoa Mouse, colored with Copics along with a computer generated sentiment. Having worked for 23 years making US flags, I'm always partial to anything made with our American flag.
A long time ago when I was making cards for OWH before they closed, a dear friend of mine bought me this Tim Holtz flag die which I used on many cards that were donated to our military. I thought it was time to pull it out and use it again so I made this card for that friend of mine and mailed it to her. The ticket was done with Sweet 'n Sassy dies and the USA letters were cut from silver mirror card with my Quickutz (anyone else still have one of those relics around? LOL) The tiny stars on the flag field were negatives from a star border die and placed in a circle to represent the Betsy Ross flag design of years gone by.
Happy July 4th everyone! Enjoy your freedom and stand up to preserve it!

More great patriotic cards Carol, especially liking the design of the second one and the hints of sparkle.

Love both of them but am partial to that first one of course. Loving some of that little Cocoa! Great cards for the red, white, and blue. Have a good 4th of July.

Super patriotic cards, Carol. xx
Lovely cards! Happy July 4th, we all need to stand up and fight for freedom wherever we are. Hugs, Valerie
Well my friend, you are surely a flags expert, and that in the second one looks stunning! Wow! Such amazing labour of love you did with all the tiny pieces! Beautiful design too! The first one makes me smile, Cocoa mouse peeking out from the star/flag looks so cute! Love this design too and that light blue patterned paper adds sweetness! Very well done on both your cards!
Happy Independence Day to you dear Carol!! Keep on holding on to your freedom!
Big hugs and love from Italy!
I love that little mouse peeking out and both cards are terrific. I actually still have four sets of Quickut letters and never think to use them when I need a sentiment. I'll get those out.
Two more fabulous 4th of July cards, the little mouse is adorable!
Beautiful
These are really wonderful patriotic cards Carol! I adore Cocoa of course as you know! I also love the wonderful layout with him and how you've used your papers with it! Your flag card is wonderful with the glitter strip in the middle with the stars and of course the USA lettering! I hope that you've had a wonderful Holiday my friend!
Again, I am in love with both of these patriotic cards Carl! You know how much I love your Cocoa Mouse images, and this one is no exception. He is such a cutie! Love the papers you used on both cards. I can see why you used this flag die on your OWH cards, I love it. Oh how I wanted a Quickutz, but never got one. Glad to see you still use your! Amen, we need to stand up to preserve our freedom! Hugs, Brenda
Such wonderful cards, Carol! I always think of you when I use an American flag because I remember you saying you made them for years! That flag die is amazing! Kelsey has a friend that was born on July 4th and her parents named her Betsy. How cool is that?! Anyways, I have enjoyed seeing your 4th of July cards! I loved seeing all of them! Hope you had a nice holiday! Hugs~
Two great patriotic cards. That Sweet and Sassy image is really fun. I don't own the image but a friend sent one to me to color up and I really love it. Both cards have some wonderful layouts too.
Wonderful cards!
