I made this card for my cousin who celebrated an epic birthday. He's still going strong and I couldn't be happier for him. For the background I used some Nuvo shimmer powder and spritzed it with water, adding some silver metallic highlights. After it was dry, I embossed it with a Sizzix Hello Friend ef. I die-cut the numbers from silver mirror cardstock, and matted them with matching blue cardstock, white and a silver panel, then added a silver-matted Simon Says Stamp pre-printed sentiment and called this one done.
I will enter this into the Happy Little Stampers Birthday Challenge for July which is Anything Goes

Wow, this is certainly one epic birthday card Carol! I love the shiny metallic numbers and layers! The shimmer of the background is really cool especially with the texture from the embossing folder! That sentiment is hilarious!!
Nicely done birthday card!
I was looking at card and the numbers...and it reminded me of what I did for my brother in law this year... I made him a card with 75 on it...and gave him a small cake with the candles which had a 7and a 5 on it. He didn't like the 75 on the cake...so I took them off and which'd them around and poked them back in the cake so they would read 57...(He liked that much better....smile!
