The Antique Store

I found this old stamp from Rubber Cottage (2005) hiding in the cobwebs and thought I'd have a play with it again. I colored it with Copics, colored pencils, and markers. I stenciled a little bit of blue skies with some Tumbled Glass ink and placed it on a chocolate cardstock background. I was stumped for adding a sentiment so I left it blank for the time being until I get ready to mail it. I used to have one of those old milk cans like the one sitting by the door and I loved it, but someone helped themselves to it unfortunately. Now they seem to be difficult to find in this day and age.

I'll share this with the FarmQuest General Store Challenge #4 which is A/G farm/country related.

Also adding to the We Love Stamping May Challenge - A/G stamped with the option of "in the garden."

adding also to the Retro Rubber Challenge #202 - A/G must use stamps older than 1 year.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful day! Happy stamping!

Carol

What a great stamp and wonderful coloring. I still have a milk can sitting on my porch!

Well that stamp is definitely older than a year - well done for digging it out of your stash for this lovely card. What a shame someone walked off with your milk churn

This stamp was a wonderful find in the cobwebs. I like many of my older stamps, but don’t think to get them our.You have colored this general store perfectly. I want to go there and browse the antiques.

So pretty, Carol! Just love your beautifully colored image! Such a great stamp, too! It really needs no sentiment and is perfect the way it is! So sorry someone stole your old milk can. They are difficult to find these days and when you do find them they are pricey! Hope to see you make more cards with this image....I love it!

Beautiful, a taste of previous times. I have a milk-can, but not as large as the one on the stamp! Hugs, valerie

Oh, I love that stamp! Very nice coloring on it too and it made into a great card. Yes, we used to have one of the old milk cans too. I have no idea what happened to it but I always loved it. Love your card Carol!

You founded a lovely old stamp and coloured it so well, Carol! Sometime old items are better than the new ones! It's a very pretty card!
Such a shame someone took away that milk can from your door, so sorry for this!
Sending you big hugs across the miles dear friend! Hope that today is a good day and that tomorrow will be even better!
And thanks so much for joining our challenge at We Love Stamping with your beautiful card! :)

Super cute vintage image. I love when I get to pull out my older images for cards with my newer techniques. It brings them to a whole new level of beauty.

That is such a cool image! I love the way you've carefully colored in the image too! We leave in an old home with a big porch that would be cool to have one of those milk cans, but they do seem harder to find now! P.S. Love the soft clouds in the background too!

Oh I love this stamp Carol, you have colored it up so well too! It makes for a wonderful card, but I don't think it needs an outside sentiment. Although it would make a great snarky birthday card. LOL Oh that is so sad about your milk can....yes, they are hard to find now and one will pay through the teeth for one if one does find it. Hugs, Brenda
