Christmas Card

I pulled out an older Tim Holtz stamp and die set to create this Christmas card, adding a SU! embossed background along with some die-cut Lawn Fawn stitched hills. The deer and tree elements were stamped after coloring them with SU markers. The sentiment and snowflake were heat-embossed with gold ep. I placed the image on a piece of green mirror card for a festive look. I've always fondly referred to this as my "three-legged deer set." 😉

There's one more card added to the Christmas stash and it felt good to use this older set once again.

I'll enter this into the following challenges:

May Rudolph Days - A/G Christmas

The Allsorts Challenge Blog week #729 - absolutely anything goes
(they're celebrating their 14th birthday, yay!)

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a wonderful day!

Yesterday was a picture perfect day weather-wise and a friend stopped over for lunch and we sat on the porch for a few hours just chatting and enjoying the day. It's the best day I've had in a long time!

I really like this Christmas card but then I'm a great fan of TH designs. I'd not noticed that the reindeer only had three legs until you mentioned it - made me smile.

This is a great card, even with a deer with only three legs. I like that pretty group of trees in the snowflakes. How nice you were able to enjoy the day relaxed on the porch.

Hi Carol,
Happy Rudolf Days.
Oh I love this card and the scene you have created.
Your colouring looks brilliant and that sentiment die used is so fab.
Brilliant idea to set it all off on green mirri card it reflects a kind of glow to the card.
Thank you for joining the Rudolf Challenge.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

I'm sitting here giggling about the three legged reindeer!! If you hadn't said anything I'm not sure I would have noticed. We'll just say that fourth leg is behind the other one! Super cute and pretty card for the holidays. Love the snowy background - and yes, even the three legged reindeer!

Oh my! That deer is so elegant and proud that nobody would have noticed that it has only three legs if you hadn’t said it!! :D
It's a so peaceful and sweet card and love the embossed snowfall! The gold big Joy plus the green mirror mat give a very festive look to the scene!

Such a pretty Christmas card which your little funny gave me a laugh (3 legged deer)! Love all the different elements on this card from the embossed panel to to your snowy hill. Perfect placement of the trees and your adorable deer (even if he is 3 legged). Love this, Carol. So glad you had some quality time with a friend this week. That is always good for the soul. TFS and I hope you continue to enjoy this nice weather!! Hugs~

Well I love your 3-legged deer as he looks so majestic standing there with his holly around his neck in the snow! It's a very peaceful design and congrats on getting a Christmas done for your pile this year! Enjoy the weekend friend!

This is a beautiful winter/Christmas scene Carol! I love the tall skinny trees and I love that deer. Sadly I never noticed he only had three legs. LOL What the heck is up with that?! I guess his other leg is hiding behind the other front one. Now I can't unsee it though. LOL Love the falling snow embossing folder too, is that an SU one? Your big joy is perfect. Hugs, Brenda
