Mother's Day Flowers

I recently unearthed my older Flourishes calendar stamps and was so happy to have discovered that I still had them because I thought I'd given them all away a long time ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find them since the company has now gone out of business. I pulled this Iris stamp out first because an Iris is one of my favorite flowers - probably because it's purple. (my favorite color) It also happens to be the flower for the month of May which includes Mother's Day. I colored the image with Copics and a glaze pen, adding some die-cut grass with a SNSS border grass die. The frame was created by using 2 different sizes of stitched square dies and the sentiment is by Verve who has also gone out of business too unfortunately.

I'm entering this into these challenges:

The Color Hues Challenge #62 - purple & green (my favorite color combo!)

The Triple B April Challenge  - Birds, Butterflies, Blooms or all 3

The Retro Rubber Challenge #204 - Spring Scenes  *must use stamps older than 1 year - mine are both probably 8-10 years old or more.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Monday, and thanks so much for stopping by.

Carol

I like this kind of iris as well - great colour combination here and lots of possibilities because they come in such a a wide variety of colours. Good job you'd not given the stamp away.

Hi dear Carol! I'm glad you haven't given this stamp away, it's so pretty! Sadly a lot of companies are out of business, and in the last times more and more, as we know, especially little companies.
Love your delicate colouring, I have Iris in my garden but they are only white. It's a perfect card for Mother day, so clean but impressive and love the touch of grass and the elegant sentiment!
Sending you my big hugs and love across the ocean as always, have a sweet week!!

Beautiful and I love that stamp! I was just in the store this morning and came so close to getting some Iris bulbs - but think it's getting a little late here to plant them now. I guess I'll just have to look at your beautiful card instead.

Oh, how lovely! Those purple irises remind me of the ones that my Mom used to grow. I have yellow ones that are trying to come up. We had snow flurries this morning...brrr. I thought it was supposed to be spring not winter, lol! Have a great week, hugs!

A gorgeous Iris card, my favorite garden flower and I have a nice collection of Flourishes stamps myself, too bad they weren't still in business!! I can't wait for my Iris's to bloom, though it is way too early here!

I must admit that irises were my first thought when I saw the Color Hues duo but I didn't have the right stamp, unlike you! Such a great take on the current challenge, TFS. :)
