Finally I made a card!

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new year. I decided it was time to sit and make a card again before I forget how to do that so I pulled some snippets of silver mirror card, blue cardstock, a Lawn Fawn stitched snowflake die and a retired SU! stamp set called Endless Wishes. I stamped the tiny snowflakes with Brilliance platinum ink and Coastal Cabana ink, then embossed a snippet of silver mirror card with a retired SU! snowflake ef. I added a pre-printed SSS sentiment and finished this card in no time.

I'll share this with the following challenges:

A/G with an optional twist of "snow"

I wanted to mention this to see if anyone else had the same issue. I last checked my blogger spam folder in the comments section about 4-5 months ago and it was empty. Recently I decided to check the spam folder again. and found over 50 comments there dating from 2009 - 2014! I wonder where they were stored and hiding all those years? Many of those comments were left by people who no longer have blogs, so that came as a huge surprise! I suppose I will soon have comments in that spam folder dating from 2014-2020 next? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for your patience, kindness and for staying with me after a long absence. I can't promise to post every day but I'll do my best to stay with it.

Have a happy, healthy, prosperous and crafty new year and hopefully I'll see you soon.

Carol

A super Christmas card. I've found random comments in the spam folder = some from way back, from people who no longer blog. A few strange things happen with comments from time to time and for no apparent reason. Ours not to reason why I guess.
Very best wishes for 2023

Wonderful to see you making cards again! Nicely done card and I like the colors that you chose.

Yes, I have had the thing with my spam folder. Many of the comments are from people who now longer make cards.

Such a beautiful card Carol, lovely design with the aqua and silver. I am so glad that you are back to stamping, it is good therapy! Hugs and prayers continuing.

I don't think you'll ever forget how to make a card, and what a sweet one this is! I totally forgot about that little snowflake in that stamp set!
I did check my spam folder the other day (even after checking it several times in the past) and found some old ones there too! Weird!
Thanks for sharing your pretty card!

Yay!!! A published card from you!!! :D I'm very glad to see this sweet creation with bright colours and shining!! Love the metallic inlay on the big snowflake and your own pattern of the tiny ones. I have a lot of tiny stamps but never think to use them for my backgrounds, thanks for the inspiration. The embossing on the silver mirror card is a lovely addition to enhance the layered sentiment!
I think you never forget how making cards!! :) But so happy to see this lovely one! As you used some scraps I think you could enter it also at Pixies Snippets Playground.
I started writing an email to you this night, but don't know when I could end it, hopefully one day or two.
What happens to your spam folder (and I read comments, also to other blogger) has never happened to me. I suppose: perhaps this happens only in USA? However it's really crazy! You have been very busy approving all the 50 comments... :/
I wish you a blessed, serene, healthy and creative new year, my dear friend! See you soon!
Biggest hugs across the miles!

Yes, I've had the same issue with the comments, noticed it a few months ago. So strange... where do they suddenly appear from!!!

Love your card, snowflakes and blue is a favourite, the silver makes it glamorous. When I remember to check, there’s often some comments unpublished. All a mystery to me xxx

What a beautiful card! I never think to emboss on metallic cardstock, but now I will! Yes, the same thing happened to me with old comments marked spam now. It went on for at least a week, but things seem back to normal now.

Ooooh, Carol, I see I have missed another card from you! Love your big snowflake and the silver embossed panel, along with the stamped snowflakes on the background, very nice! Sorry I haven't been checking out the blogs lately, but I'll have to check every now and then so I don't miss too much! So happy to see you back in your craft space, even if it's occasionally. Whenever you feel like it, I think it's a good thing to be creative. At this time I am not feeling like crafting as I want to re-organize my crafts instead. What a mess I have!

Thanks for the heads up about the blogger problems. I still don't know why they changed it the last time, a couple years ago, as there were no improvements from my point of view. I am not good with technology changes, but at least now I'm aware this is happening, so thank you! Sending hugs from Canada, my friend.

Goodness, I sure missed a lot of cards from you! I love this one, such a simpe, but so effective Christmas card! And look at you, starting to add to this year's stash already! I got to get a move on! LOL I think this snowflake is one of my favorites that you use. I am glad that you got back into making cards Carol, I think it will be good for you to continue to make cards. This one is so cool, I love the embossing at the bottom! Hang in there my friend, you know I'm here for you whenever you need it! Hugs, Brenda
