I don't have any cards to share today, only sad news. Early this morning I lost my husband and soulmate of almost 54 years as he went to live with the Lord. I'm devastated and it's hard to breathe right now, but hopefully in the days to come I will find myself again. For now, I'm just missing him more than I ever could have imagined. Life will just never quite be the same again.

Oh no! I am so sad to read this very sad news, Carol. Please know that I will be praying for you, for strength to endure this extremely difficult time. I just prayed for you now. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I will share my favourite scripture, which helps me through trials:

You WILL breathe again, it just takes a while. Be kind to yourself, and know that so many of your blog/email friends are sending up prayers for your comfort and strength just now. I was so saddened to learn about this loss, and just do whatever your emotions sense is right for you just now. For what it's worth, Butch will never leave you...he will be there, just in a different way, especially at the times you truly need him to be. I KNOW this is true. Big hugs, many prayers. Mary H.

I am so, so sorry to hear this news Carol. No, life will never be the same ever again. You wonder who you are without your beloved, how does life work without your beloved....it is very hard and I hate that you have to go through it. Best advice I can give is to take it minute by minute, day by day. Let grief wash over you whenever it hits you and it will hit you. It will come in tidal waves, up and down lie a roller coaster, a smell will trigger the grief, songs, shows, etc... Grief is all consuming and it will never totally go away, but it will get a bit better in time. BUT know your friends are here for you should you need them!!!
